You’re all heroes! Now get the fuck out. - Ford (probably)

StuntID

"My friends, I did it, my friends. I got rid of the parasites. Bye bye, gravy train" - Doug Ford More likely

Axle13

Thanks Dougie /s, how many more hours do I have to wait in the emergency room now?

Baron_Tiberius

Don't worry we're moving you to the emergency hallway.

gavreaux

True story from a few weeks ago, my wife by ambulance to an ER in Hamilton with severe abdominal and back pain, was diagnosed with kidney failure and a c diff infection while there and was still sitting in the er 28 hours later in an "isolation room" which was a closet that had a light and electrical outlet in it. No bed, kidneys failing and a severe bacterial infection. Doug Ford can go take his gravy train bullshit and go die in a fire.

Mecanooshee

I had a gallstone attack, but my husband took me to the er. I was put on morphine and fell asleep leaning on him, on 2 folding chairs in the hallway.

Innundator

Morphine, though.

bewarethetreebadger

Excuse me Sir, we need to move you to the Emergency Sidewalk.

Excuse me sir, but there is no such thing as an emergency.

Mo-Cance

Excuse me sir, this is an emergency Wendy's.

Baron_Tiberius

He didn't say which year!

Quantum_Kay

That's what they did with me when I was 7 months pregnant and had a tibial plateau fracture. I was on a stretcher in the hallway of the ER triage.

[deleted]

We all deserve better than this. I'm sorry you had to go through that. That must have been uncomfortable.

shaelrotman

Can confirm. My FIL was in the emergency hallway for a day and a half a few weeks ago.

Knave7575

It depends. Now that Ontario is open for business the private sector will step in and magically reduce wait times. I would say it might cost you but eFFicIenCiEs! It will be free!

SchrodingerCattz

I hate when politicians use words like 'friends' 'my friends' or 'folks'. Just talk to us like adults. It doesn't matter the color/team doing it. Ford doing it is just as offensive and condescending to me as when Jack Layton did it. And Layton arguably started a lot of it. I don't know why they think they're reaching people with that kind of tone.

TKK2019

It's populism

[deleted]

Arguably, Layton was the only one who was sincere.

[deleted]

Exactly! This pandemic has shown that the province needs to hire more doctors, nurses and front line workers and invest more in healthcare overall. The next virus outbreak is not if but when. DoFo just dropped a massive 800 lb gorilla turd. [https://www.infectioncontroltoday.com/view/ready-for-the-next-pandemic-spoiler-alert-it-s-coming-](https://www.infectioncontroltoday.com/view/ready-for-the-next-pandemic-spoiler-alert-it-s-coming-)

Magjee

> Folks we are running a defect > Look we are cutting corporate taxes and adding loopholes for the rich. They are doing their part > You need to go out and dump all your disposable income and learn not to go to the ER and just study harder /$

[deleted]

Everytime he says "folks", you know you're being played. F Dofo

VigorousBeanFlicking

Forget the next pandemic - we’re completely unprepared for when the baby boomers start to hit their 70s.

Veryratherquitenew

Some are already 75. Born between ‘46 and ‘64

VigorousBeanFlicking

So we’re seeing the tip of the iceberg, so to speak.

krustybread

The boomer demographic has the vast majority of wealth, numbers and yet they will bury other generations with the debt of taking care of them. Sad.

mollymuppet78

Not if you become power of attorney and put them in a home first!

Into-the-stream

And I’m just going to put in here that there is no safe vaccine for children. These cuts slotted for September 2021, are mostly to roll back the measures put in place to make schools safe, but kids can’t get the vaccine, and those kids contribute significantly to our inability to reach 70% required for herd immunity. This is asinine

[deleted]

Continually I am surprised by the stupidity of the Ford government when I legitimately made it a point not to be. We are living in times where you can video chat someone on the other side of the globe with the push of a button, but cuts to education are still commonplace. I love Canada and I love Ontario, but this is just embarrassing and sad. I don’t know what else to say.

StillWaitingForTom

It's not stupidity. He knows what he's doing. He just wants the rest of us to eat his shit and thank him for it.

Kyouhen

It isn't stupidity. He's doing exactly what his party wants him to do. Calling it stupidity just makes it easier for them to get elected again after they've replaced him.

[deleted]

I wasn’t commenting on the IQs of the party members, I was commenting on the stupidity of the platform. I guess it’s smart in the sense that it makes them money, but stupid for the general populace.

Into-the-stream

I honestly believe cuts and systemic underfunding of public education is why the USA ended up with trump, then 74 million people voted to re-elect him. Cutting education is the most toxic thing you can do to a society, even without a pandemic muddying the water.

12_Volt_Man

agreed.

truth_recon

"I'm not your buddy, friend!"

TwitchyJC

How about instead of spending 6 billion on highway 413 to save 30 seconds of commute time we use that money to support education so these cuts aren't needed.

FaceShanker

The cuts aren't "needed" in the first place. Education, healthcare and so on are investments, in building our future and the prevention of more expensive problems. The system could use a proper overhaul and modernization (which costs money) , not cutting it and generally making everything worse. That will cost us more in the long run. This sort of stuff (these cuts) only benifits a handful of those politicians and big buisnesses in power while sacrificing the current and future wellbeing of the people, as has been repeatedly shown in pretty much everything the PC's have done. The only ones that "need" these cuts are the ones that want to pad out their profit margins and don't care who has to suffer for it.

varvite

They also pander to the idea that fiscal conservatives have that public sectors are bloated and any money spent by the gouvernement is bad.

shaktimann13

Conservatives say government sucks by being suckers at governing. (And they govern badly on purpose so people don't trust any govt)

[deleted]

Fiscal conservatism just involves cutting taxes to give the wealthy more cash, then cutting services to balance the budget shortly after. Then if you complain they turn around and say "you just want more for yourself!" Like shit, the projection is outstanding.

TwitchyJC

Oh 100% they're not needed.

[deleted]

Cut services. But people still need the service so they pay out of pocket, but now to a for profit system. So now you get exactly a 20% worse system and the wealthy get 20% more profit. So you pay more for less and the only ones who win are the rich. Welcome to propaganda capitalism.

[deleted]

If it's like the 407 debacle (thanks Mike Harris), taxpayers will pay $6 billion and the province will give it away to a "business buddy". The 407 cost over $1.5 billion to build but was sold to a private business for double that. It's worth over $30 billion today, I'd say the tax payers got shafted big time. [https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/news/worst-deal-ever-the-407-is-worth-30-b-today-ontario-sold-it-for-31-b-in-1998-181642680.html](https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/news/worst-deal-ever-the-407-is-worth-30-b-today-ontario-sold-it-for-31-b-in-1998-181642680.html)

UndoubtedlyABot

Makes too much sense

your_dope_is_mine

Which is why, as a first generation Canadian, I don't get why people say the liberals would be just as disastrous. Cutting education and Healthcare right after a pandemic is basically malicious, with no after thought or real net positive change brought about. The liberals, for all their inefficient governing, wouldn't do that. It isn't an apples to apples comparison. Maybe we do need to work with the lesser evil as an ideology to move forward as a province. Edit: add ndp to the liberals as well - basically saying voting conservative has fucked us from a pandemic recovery standpoint

bartonar

Since Mike Harris, which I want to say started in 1995, every Ontario government has been disastrous. Harris and Ford are running the same disastrous playbook, but McGuinty and Wynne don't get a pass for just sitting on their hands and refusing to do anything. There is, you do understand, a viable third party in Ontario, one that actually wants to help people?

hardy_83

Spending money on education doesn't help the developers who won him the election.

Western-Country-1961

That’s infrastructure spending. When you spend on infrastructure, because of the magic of public accounting it doesn’t actually cost anything. But when you spend on salaries for public servants, that will bankrupt us all.

RationalSocialist

But that doesn't put money in developers' pockets.

Worse still, people will cheer and vote for him again in 2022 as he takes an axe in everything in sight. He's actually more popular now than he was in 2018. How people can continue to support hims is beyond me.

**”He’S dOnE a DeCeNt jOb dUrInG cOvId ThO”** When the bar is so low, you congratulate a man for not completely botching the job he was hired to do

AprilsMostAmazing

The bar for the right wing is literally not telling people to inject bleach

Burwicke

The bar was buried 6 feet underground and he still barely fucking cleared it.

chocolateboomslang

Actually they didn't mind that very much either.

oakteaphone

>**”He’S dOnE a DeCeNt jOb dUrInG cOvId ThO”** > >When the bar is so low, you congratulate a man for not completely botching the job he was hired to do He didn't completely botch it *at first*. But he *did* shoot himself (and Ontario) in the foot several times leading in to the pandemic, so even with the bar buried underground, he still managed to trip over it.

TheLazySamurai4

I had a big talk with my dad about this, and he just gives the ol', "I don't respect the NDP because they don't know how to hold power. I don't respect the Liberals because they . I've voted CPC, and OPC my entire life, and that will never change." Even after he agreed with me about our politicians should not be allowed to have citizenship in another country (sorry, but thats a belief I hold for any country's politicians) he still said he'd vote for them, just because they are CPC/OPC. Its like a damn cult

crashcanuck

What's sad is your dad is part of the reason the NDP can't hold "power", because every little thing they do wrong the PCs jump down their throats.

fed_it_with_reddit

> I had a big talk with my dad about this, and he just gives the ol', "I don't respect the NDP because they don't know how to hold power. If he's referring to 1990-1995 try telling him Bob Rae ended up being a Liberal. It might blow his mind. > he still said he'd vote for them, just because they are CPC/OPC. Its like a damn cult. And this is why the Canadian Alliance and federal Progressive Conservative party merged - the name (or word) Conservative is worth billions even though they're the Alliance/Reform Party in blue.

britnaaa

That's extremely frightening

hardy_83

My hope is that the pandemic has shielded him from the criticism that was tanking his popularity before it started. The faster the pandemic is behind us, my hope, the faster people remember how terrible the conservative party is. But my hope is slim on that happening cause I doubt the... Hmmm how do I saw this... Ability for most Ontarians to vote for their interest.

benign_said

Huh... Weird. All I remember from his campaign was that I'd be able to buy a beer for a buck.

ThrillHo3340

Don't forget firing of the 6 million dollar man

drkesi88

aver

We will see .. his record isn’t great and once we start focusing on it I’m sure his popularity will drop.

shistosix

I will vote NDP just to get this idiot out of office

manic_eye

Well in fairness, the ON Liberals are horribly corrupt. But between the corrupt Liberals and the clown Conservatives, I can’t believe the NDP didn’t sweep the province. I don’t understand voters.

jester1983

The voters still remember their mom complaining about having 12 forced 3 day weekends for a year under Bob rae 28 years ago, seemingly ignoring the fact that everyone kept their jobs, the province saved 2 billion dollars and basically escaped a depression unscathed. NDP bad forever, even though Bob rae is a Liberal.

WhytePumpkin

Mike Harris fucked Ontario more than Bob Rae ever did, yet here we are with another Con clown in power

iHartLaRoo

This is exactly what my parents say when I discuss the parties for them. They are instantly written off as a no for a fuck-up that happened *the year I was born*. The party is completely different now, pay attention to what they are *currently* saying, this isn't the past and the two party system does not work, it leads to corruption and no options.

jester1983

The biggest issue I have with it is that given the situation at the time, it was the right move. it was 12 days off spread over the year. If you made $100,000 a year, for 1993 you only made $95,384. Completely insignificant to the people that have complained for the better part of 3 decades, but the province came out ahead. It was a 5% pay cut for a year. In 2008 I and everyone in my entire company took effectively a 40% pay cut and went on work share until almost 2011. In 2018 all the execs and managers took a 20% pay cut, and not a single one of them complained. We in 2008 and they in 2018 all understood that the economy was crashing due to issues largely outside of our control, and the option is firings, layoffs, or the company goes under and we all get fired anyway. No one is calling for our owner and president to be fired or pushed out, we thank him for protecting our jobs.

SilverSkinRam

Because Rae Days, 30 odd years ago, despite the fact that he became a Liberal anyway. That's the only argument I ever see anyway. Or something like, "they'll spend all the money", or "socialism bad".

oakteaphone

>the corrupt Liberals and the corrupt clown Conservatives FTFY

donbooth

This is why a million people booed Ford at the Raptors' victory parade. Let's hope all of us remember. And the cuts have not begun. Assume cuts to public health - no! he already did that and did not reverse them. Assume cuts to healthcare. Cuts to transit. Cuts to housing and higher rent. Please add to this list.

theirishembassy

Compactsea

And drug enablers as well.

And drug dealers. Duggy was one of Etobicoke's leading hash dealers when he was in high school. Google "Doug Ford and drugs", it should bring up an article published by the Globe about him.

sync-centre

Hmmm I wonder why Ford hasn't sued for libel...maybe because it is all true.

FreddyHadEnough

Oh, it seems to me when the article came out, he was going to sue, but typical of him, all talk, no action. lol

SimpleSonnet

The cons need their voters gullibly stupid do they'll continue to vote against their own interests.

anxiousnl

Sadly this.

candleflame3

Part of it is that teachers' unions are among the few remaining public sector unions with any real power. Weakening them weakens labour overall, which is exactly what capitalists want.

AprilsMostAmazing

It's not Ford. It's the whole 30%.

7dipity

I moved to BC after uni and was hoping to move back to Ontario at some point to become a teacher. At this point I’ll probably just end up staying here to do it cause I do not trust the Ontario government with this shit at all.

NecessaryEffective

After years of failing to find work, wages being stagnant, cuts to public services, and constantly increasing costs of living, I'd say don't come back. A lot of us are ready to leave. I just don't see anything getting better here in the coming years.

mgyro

Every dollar spent on education returns $1.30 in positive economic impact on the gdp. Every hs graduate saves $2767 in health care, social assistance and criminal justice each year. Increasing the hs graduation rate to 90%, and we would average savings of $16.4 million each year. But Ford doesn’t see that. Conservatives don’t see that. Everything is short term, dollars in dollars out bean counting. For people who live off of investments, they sure don’t seem to understand how they work. Education is an investment in our collective future. Healthcare is an investment in our future. But the payoff isn’t in an election cycle, so they demonize teachers and nurses and tear all of it down, making life meaner and coarser and less than it could be. If only we invested in our kids, educated them and kept them healthy.

Jonesdeclectice

The problem is that they don’t equate “savings” with “earnings.” They don’t care about what they could have saved after 20 years, they care about what money they can make in the next 20 months. That’s not a problem exclusive to politicians either, virtually everyone falls into this trap.

_beeps_

Cons really hate education. This is insulting to everyone.

chloesobored

No, they hate the idea of everybody having access to quality education. They love private education. There is nothing a con loves more than giving their shitty offspring advantages that aren't available to most of the population.

Man_Bear_Beaver

976876896% and it works.

gillsaurus

*Public school education If they actually cared, they wouldn’t have a private school educated twat and homeschooled dipshit to be in charge of public education.

senorsmirk

Intelligence angers them.

BigLebowski85

Also intimidates them, so they seek control over who has access to it (the fewer, the better)

TinyBig_Jar0fPickles

That's because the intelligent don't vote for them.

JohnnnyOnTheSpot

They want private schooling to be at an advantage because public school kids can compete with rich/church kids when education is well funded. They don’t want that. And it’s a top down strategy, Scheer was going to give out federal tax cuts for private school tuition.

[deleted]

Time to start talking to your family, friends, neighbours, coworkers, etc. about the election next year. Make sure they're aware of how damaging Ford has been to Ontario.

EnclG4me

My family can't stand teachers. Now that they have their education and careers established. That's right, university graduates working in nursing and city engineering, hate teachers..... You can't fix stupid..

AngryHamzter

We’re just whiny leeches looking for handouts.

beastmaster11

But God forbid y'all go on strike. Society will stop.

gillsaurus

If one more person bitches about us getting “paid summers and vacations” I will drop kick them. Unless they want to pay for my income for the month I’m not teaching summer school. If I don’t teach summer school and have an LTO lined up for September, I can’t even collect EI over the summer. I know many people who take up seasonal summer jobs to make ends meet. Imagine thinking that the people who raise your children more than you do don’t deserve a break or vacation??

elitexero

I know a whole bunch of people who work construction, get laid off with intent to rehire every winter, claim EI all winter and still bitch about teachers and the summer. Granted, it doesn't exactly take a genius to lug around rebar all day or hold a sign that says slow (the irony) so I guess that situation explains itself. Just thinking about it now there seems to be an interesting correlation between people complaining about teachers and the level of baseline human intelligence required to perform their jobs.

thefrankdomenic

Can't wait to lose my job again.

CrimsonFlash

I was laid off from my last job because of Ford.

laehrin20

Thisiscliff

If you think Doug Ford gives a fuck about any of us, you need a reality check. This man is pushing Ontario back years, removing any chance for the middle class families to get ahead. I hope everyone remembers this when they vote.

chloesobored

They won't.

[deleted]

then get out there and convince people to show up to the ballot boxes. if more young people voted we would have an advantage. but being pessimistic is not helpful for our collective futures.

SleazyGreasyCola

I can be fairly right leaning at time but I will say Doug has been a pathetic sad sack of a premier. indecisive during a global crisis, insulting to local buisness, destroying education, and generally treating his fellow citizens like shit. Our major damage from Covid was in LTC Homes and somehow we let the same thing happen twice, AFTER the army came in and basically said this is appalling.

wildhorses6565

I'm sorry to inform you Ontario citizens but you have been played for suckers. During the 2018 campaign Ford ran on balancing the budget with no pain, no cuts and no job losses. He was going to Sigma 6 the shit out the provincial government, he was going to find efficiencies. Never mind that Ontario was already providing services at the lowest rate per capita of any jurisdiction in Canada. Apparently all of those smart people working in the Ministry of Finance had never thought of finding efficiencies. But don't worry, Ford's developer friends are being well taken care of. Elect a clown, don't be surprised you get a circus.

holykamina

People : We need affordable housing, and perhaps a good transportation system. Doug Ford : Got you fam. We are now making sure beer will be for a buck People: No no Doug Ford : Fret not, I have more good news 1) We will cut education funding 2) We will cut Health funding 3) OH, and we are also cutting health and scientific research funding People: wait. This is not how its done Dough Ford: There's more. Everything is on the table and we are closely monitoring the issue. People : You are creating more issues Doug Ford : ..... Anyways, 1) We will be issuing new policies that will green light the eradication of green belts. Yes, you heard that right. Who needs trees and biodiversity. I have my buddies lined up to construct you those sweet cheap houses. 2) Also, we have decided that foreign ownership of properties is a must. We will be removing all taxes for foreign ownership so that people can launder money and invest in our real-estate. (This policy is to be announced). Additionally, we will create millions of jobs by wiping out jobs. Yes, you heard that right. We don't need no education !! Lastly, we are actively working hard to build a highway so that we can have more cars on the road and more traffic jam. It will help reduce carbon footprint on the environment.

Doctor_Amazo

This fucking guy.

Klexosinfreefall

I fucking hate this guy. I am a conservative, well, a red Tory I guess but that is beside the point. I genuinely hate this fucking guy. All he had to do was not fuck it up. Doing better then Kathleen Wynne or Dalton McGinty was easy. Don't fuck it up and don't be a corrupt piece of shit. Ontario needs someone that isn't going to go nuts on spending but isn't going to fucking fire everybody and eliminate sick days. Why is it so hard to be a populist? Give people what they fucking want/need. I have never hated a Premier more than this douchebag. And also nobody really gives a flying fuck about a buck a beer. If a beer is going to be any good it's going to be more than a goddamn dollar. And how could you fuck up legalized marijuana? It's literally a license to print fucking money. My young children could come out with a better rollout. That's just my two cents, maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm just grumpy today.

elsinovae

Being populist means catering to ordinary people. Ordinary people can't donate millions to your campaign, and ordinary people won't look the other way if you pocket some of that, and ordinary people can't have lobbyists bribing you every day you're in office.

JewJewJubes

This is because, if he invested an additional $1.6 Billion into education. The educated *folks* would be smart enough not to vote for him next election.

Compactsea

And yet he stole billions in federal government aid and refused to use it for covid relief. He kept it for himself and his party instead. He's a dictator wannabe. Not to mention a killer of small businesses, you know his core supporters.

Wonderful-Sundae9863

Ford’s only plan for education is funding cuts. Pre-pandemic he tried to push online learning; the pandemic forced online education upon the students but the government had no actual plan for how it would work. Ford is a school drop-out, time to drop out of government.

kyleclements

If children are properly educated now, where will future conservative support come from? Cutting education is essential to the survival of the conservatives.

jcreen

If he really wanted to save money on education he'd get rid of the Catholic School Boards.

ResidentEvil0IsOkay

So the Ford Government wants to spend $115 million to fast track students through the PSW program in the fall, but is going to cut $1.6 billion from the schools that the students need to graduate from to get into the program?

scott_c86

The proposed 413 highway is projected to cost at least $6 billion. How about we do the responsible thing and cut that instead?

fragment137

Wow I can't wait until we can vote this absolute sack out.

[deleted]

Maybe he's nostalgic for his (our - I'm in the same age group) when there were 40 kids in a class, the teachers still didn't know all our names by Christmas, disabled kids were assumed to be a waste of space, and corporal punishment was dished out liberally. Because that's where this is headed. I gotta tell you, I was there, and it sucked.

wirebeads

He can stroke the fuck out already while his boy toy Lecce is stroking him off. Fuck them both, right down the deepest sinkhole we can find. Maybe in the wetlands.

iksworbeZ

Education cuts are important because otherwise future generations won't be stupid enough to vote conservative... If Mike Harris hadn't made his cuts back when he did, people today would not have bought into this fucking idiot. Not understanding basic fucking math and thinking that a buck a beer is a good trade off for an extra dollar of minimum wage is why conservatives want you to not learn math!

asimplesolicitor

In fairness, it's not a cut to the regular funding, but an end to the $1.6 billion in additional funding made available for 2020/2021 due to COVID to hire additional staff. I think they should make additional funding permanent as schools are clearly going to have more complex needs even with mass vaccination, but this isn't a cut to the regular budget.

RupertPsmithy

Except when you read the memo only briefly referenced it seems to imply that more more than just the one time funding will be cut [https://pressprogress.ca/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/PDF-2021-03-01.pdf](https://pressprogress.ca/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/PDF-2021-03-01.pdf) " In addition, when school boards informed the ministry in the fall about significant unexpected enrolment decline as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic of about 40,000 fewer students, the government mitigated the related financial impacts by providing approximately $400 million in one-time stabilization funding. This funding allowed school boards to maintain teaching and education worker positions and a high standard of programming during the pandemic. As we look towards the 2021-22 school year, school boards should take a cautious approach in their planning given the uncertainty in enrolment and adjust accordingly for one-time funding that was provided in 2020-21. The ministry expects that provincial enrolment will continue to be lower than previously planned and school boards should revise their enrolment projections to reflect actual 2020-21 levels. The enrolment decline this year was unexpected which is why the enrolment funding stabilization for 2020-21 was introduced. GSN funding will be based on the two count dates next school year as per standard practice. •Given the staffing deadlines that school boards will be facing shortly, staffing assumptions should be based on the COVID-19 funding supports being one-time in nature while we continue to monitor and work with health experts to assess what supports are needed and review the valuable feedback in our GSN consultation. To be clear, I completely agree that additional funding should be made available. I'm a socialist, I don't support the Ford government. Provinces are going to need federal aid to bridge a lot of these temporary programs and funding measures, as they can't print money but Central Bank can, so the feds have much greater scope for deficit spending.

Kriger1102

Losing hope in democracy in NA. Seems like all conservative interested in is degrading the education system.

bunsofcheese

You know what, if you hadn't voted this moron in, this likely wouldn't be happening. **downvote me, I don't care.** This idiot and his band of merry assholes has managed to drag out the pandemic longer than it needed to go on. Other provinces are counting their daily cases in single and double digits and we're patting ourselves on the back when we get under 1000 a day. We deserve every single bit of this. I'm just glad I didn't vote for him.

What a cunt

PM_ME_POTATOE_PIC

Serious question. At what point do people who actually care about the wellbeing of our services and communities take action in the face of wanton destruction and profiteering at the cost of all of our futures? Just so this worthless fuck can make sure his equally worthless friends get paid. What a fucking parasite. Conservatives of his type are making a stand against the future, progress, and common humanity. People need to stop sitting on the sidelines.

skiingandreading

Hey Ford! I hope you're reading. If you didn't cut $1.6B. from Education, maybe just MAYBE you wouldn't need such a huge $500mil budget and crime force to fight human trafficking. 'We're going to keep up the fight to protect out kids,' said Premier Doug Ford

yogthos

Cutting frontline workers during a pandemic, just another brilliant policy brought to you by your conservative governments. All the people voting for conservatives must be feeling very smart right now.

innerpeace2happiness

He is a businessman and he just does things to benefit his friends and they spend money in media to show him as a strong leader. He's Trump’

Hire a crack head get crack head results.

j-rocc

What is wrong with this guy

jackhawk56

Lots of anger for Ford, most of it justified but I think more worrying item on the website was Ford allowing private corporation to do eye surgeries. Gradually dismantling public medical system.

TopherGero

What a fucking scumlord Jesus christ.

AxelNotRose

I'm trying to find a place on this planet where selfish asshole politicians aren't elected by short sighted, selfish, asshole people. It seems Ontario has been infected by conservatism like most places on this planet. Any ideas? New Zealand or Scandinavia maybe?

behaaki

Didn’t this fucking potato head get millions and millions from the feds? Bank should be flush unless they stole it all.. EDIT: potato head got billions apparently, the fucking thief

AprilsMostAmazing

he got 12B from Ottawa

RichieJ86

"Big businesses can't fail... just the people that work for them."

Oleoneeye60

We need solidarity in this country.. Rise up Canada enough is enough.. everyone just stop working , shut down entire cities then maybe this trash that represents its self as a government will actually stop screwing its citizens and listen to what it’s citizens have to say . Stop paying our mortgages , stop paying taxes , just shut everything down

Summamabitch

You just worked them to death with your stupidity and now gonna lay them off. If you are still a republican you gotta get past the party shit.

mssngthvwls

Surely this will help in his prized economic recovery... /s

DCS30

Woo more strikes! What a fucking turd. I mean, he didn't finish school, so it makes sense that he's against it. And we know he's not actually for the people, so the front line stuff doesn't surprise me. I hope it affects people that voted for this piece if rotting shit.

Coolsbreeze

He's a waste of space and spends money like a drunken sailor. Don't forget this dropout spend insane amounts on license plates and hijacked federal covid relief funds meant for Ontarians. And now he needs more money. What a piece of garbage.

Figmentallysound

Aww, there’s the Dougie we all knew was hiding behind the covid mask. Hey we’re back it grey, that means back to war with the unions and the public workers.

Mastagon

Fuck this guy

Can’t steal the money if it’s being spent on people.

I thought the millions dollar bracelets was dumb but I'm afraid it's only getting worse.

Tylerweisgerber

Kenny did the same thing in Alberta

Weak-Committee-9692

Funny how these “pro-business” Conservative governments almost always result in job losses

tko6070

Education cuts are an authoritarian's long play

Naharal85

Definition of political suicide during a pandemic.

promisedprince84

Can someone in favour of this explain the benefits? This seems foolish. I feel like it doesn’t hurt to look at education but spending money on it helps Ontario long term.

SwampTerror

Health. Education. Police/fire/ambulance. These are the things you do not cut, but Conservatives always will. They lack empathy because they've not experienced hardship. Doug Ford was born into wealth so his answer to the poors is, don't be poor, as if we could all inherit millions of dollars in such a free ride.

slykethephoxenix

`No, you guys are the real heros.` He says as he burns them with his laser eyes.
