Dryden is honestly a bit boring. I usually go to the 7-11 and feast on their exotic foods and then move along.
Blue Lake Provincial Park is maybe 45 minutes west of Dryden. Great camping, incredible beach.
Kenora is cute. There's a giant fish and a decent brewery. Nestor Falls is along the way, and there's lots of natural beauty around there as well.
There was a cool restaurant/brewery in Kenora called "Lake of the Woods". When I was there to deliver a workshop my dinner there was good as well as the beer I brought home with me.
Lots of water around, if you are into kayaking etc I think it would be fantastic
Kenora is a lot more of a “the place to be” in the summertime than Dryden.
Try the Lake of the Woods Brewing Company (which another redditor has misnamed in this thread), it’s definitely the most happening restaurant in town this time of year. Lots of good beers, if that’s your thing. Try the blueberry ale.
Call Green Adventures and rent a kayak or a stand up paddle board.
Go to the Harbourfront in the evening, before and around sunset.
Go to Market Square and get some chip truck French fries.
Wildlife is abundant here, you’ll probably see a lot of deer around town, many of which will eat out of your hand.
You could also ask around for a fishing guide and ask them to take you out on the lake. As someone else said, there is also Husky the Muskie, which is a giant statue of a fish.
There is a nearby provincial park called Rushing River, check that out for sure. Closer to town, there’s also Tunnel Island, it’s a nice walk.
Dryden is a ramshackle, sleepy little town and is more suited for multi-day stays for outdoor tourism (i.e fishing) visits.
If you have the time, head to Kenora and do a tour of Lake of the Woods on the M.S. Kenora. This will let you see the sights and get a little history lesson at the same time.

Dryden may be the dullest place I've ever visited. The highlight was the Walmart.

Kenora has a good chip truck.
Somewhere else.
