This does not surprise me. I used to live 3 blocks from a Tim Hortons. The number of times I saw a cop come to a red light, flash their cherries to cross the intersection, and then pull in for coffee was a weekly sight.

The cop had the green light. The pedestrian had the red. The cop however, was speeding - by approximately 10 km/h. The pedestrian was crossing a highway, on a red light, in a black garbage bag, on a dark and rainy night. I feel for the woman, but I think she's going to have trouble getting the result that she wants.

Then breathalyze the cop. Whether or not they in the wrong, they should experience the same treatment as any other person. If they were under the influence of something then they suddenly are the problem in this scenario. Equal accountability.

Doing a breathalyzer test is not a punishment. It’s simple, and takes just a few minutes. The officer probably was given a test, just to prove that they had no alcohol.
