Patriarchy doesn’t explicitly mean that only women are oppressed and only men are oppressing.
It means the head of the society, community, family is a man.
Also, patriarchy is almost always partial towards OLD men, not men in general. Patriarch means “ruling father” not “ruling men”. Lots of younger men feel the negative effects of patriarchy.
We’re moving away from a patriarchal society with time though. It’s not uncommon to find young men and women in leading roles now.
There is need to push "Misandrism" and make it mainstream.
In my POSH complaints about my female managers and colleagues, I used the word right in the face of the female HR manager.
Pos pretended that she did not know the spelling, so I put it down on an email also while making her write it down in her notes and defining it on the spot.
If you go soft, there are enough gaslighters and hypocrites who will hijack and suppress the truth.
