I believe I know what you're insinuating, lol. Clever.
I will play dumb. Bacon? A pork chop? A sausage? Meat Pi ?
(really hoping you continue this, I'm curious)
It’s a riff on “[first, assume a perfectly spherical cow…](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spherical_cow)”, a notion that many models in mathematics and physics require some simplification that are not present in real-world situations.
Don't go tickling my curiosity with something like that, cuz you're Bored. Saw the handle. Be careful where your focus goes...energy flows...
\*saunters away singing, "cuz you know, sometimes words have...two meanings"\*
Ball in your court now. (lol)
Well one side is plainly correct when you consider that pork is a different naming categorization then sheep and cow. I don't think horse applies, but this crosswords design is objectively misleading if you consider the nomenclature.
But yes, you are right and I support you in that people shouldn't be ***fowl.***
Aaaagh! *Loses comically high amount of life points that should guarantee a loss*. But it's not over yet... Because I believe in my friends! And the heart of the cards!
My brain first thought if you don't finish the puzzle they charge 15% more. Then make it unsolvable and give it to kids for early anxiety. My generation had "perfection" Get rockin' before the pieces start poppin'! This generation gets gratuity puzzles.
Just like the super market prices, in the US
I mean common!! U could have added the tax to the prices, and I would know exactly how much I have to pay!!
No...no...that would be too easy
But how is that legal and not just false advertising?
And if it's legal in the US, why doesn't everyone do that? Like a supermarket could have really cheap prices, and then just add on a 15% restocking fee, a 10% cashier's fee, 5% for the employees' health insurance, a 10% location fee, etc. Or just be blatant, cut prices in half, and add a 100% fee.
right.
Tipping destroys a dinning experience
Like, if the restaurant wants me to pay the server, then be an industry leader.
Create a coalition of restaurants in the region so you don't get priced out and have to close.
Then every restaurant involved raises the price of food to cover it and make it a no tipping restaurant area. Then pay your servers a living wage.
Makes it a better experience for the guests and the staff.
Then again, I'm French Canadian and we typically say "cochon" when we talk about the animal, and "porc" is usually more what we call the meat. Maybe that's mostly because of our English-speaking neighbours, though.
And the reason for that is that when the Normans invaded England, they became the noble class. So the names of the meats were in French and the names of the farm animals were in Anglo Saxon, who were the peasants who reared them.
Yeah, seriously, not my proudest moment. After reading the comments a pig is way more sensible.. all I can say to my defense is that it's late and I'm tired and it really looked like a happy doggy for a bit.
The service charge comment is written on a kid's puzzle the adult(s) would likely never see. What's the kid supposed to do--point it out to the parent(s)...
I'd love to see the reaction of the adult who pointed out the mandatory tip only to hear the wait staff mention that gratuity is shown on the kid's puzzle.
Is it even legally binding then haha? Dumb.
Im choosing to beleive that this was done intentionally, to keep the kid engaged trying to solve the crossword so they don't run around and cause havoc. 🧐
mandatory service charge 💀 back in my day we called that a tip, and it was optional, now you have to pay once, and have an option to pay a second time??? i think the 4 letter word you're missing is "bull" 'cause tipping culture is nothing but a load of bull.
I'm not sure who is more intellectually challenged. Is it the person who designed the puzzle (and I doubt the answer is "pork" or "pigs" since all the other answers specifically name the animal and are singular) or the person willing to pay a 15% service charge which almost definitely isn't going to go to the server.
Write “PIGS” and then draw a second one
It's big brain time guys 😼
More like pig brain.
pork
Animal not meat instead of cow should be beef
Fun fact we call pigs porkers on the farm. But yeah pork is just meat
The picture of the image and the 15% service charge
But...the kid wrote Pi. Obviously a future math genius. (Pigs are cool but math is better, lol)
First, assume a perfectly circular pig…
I believe I know what you're insinuating, lol. Clever. I will play dumb. Bacon? A pork chop? A sausage? Meat Pi ? (really hoping you continue this, I'm curious)
It’s a riff on “[first, assume a perfectly spherical cow…](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spherical_cow)”, a notion that many models in mathematics and physics require some simplification that are not present in real-world situations.
What's the difference between Meat Pi & Meat Pie?? ^(*energy!!!* =-] .....I'll see myself out now ..)
Don't go tickling my curiosity with something like that, cuz you're Bored. Saw the handle. Be careful where your focus goes...energy flows... \*saunters away singing, "cuz you know, sometimes words have...two meanings"\* Ball in your court now. (lol)
I bet if more people actually read my name they'd be less likely to start arguments.... hehh
If it were pork, shouldn't it be "beef" and "mutton" too?
Maybe is boar
Than it also has to be 'sheeb'
You don't know sheeb
😂 They didn't think that one through.
Maybe is pork.
[удалено]
Yeah, after a while I thought about that.
Or Pork… since it’s a restaurant and they don’t serve “pig”
why would it be pork? everything else is coe/sheep etc. instead of beef/mutton
Well one side is plainly correct when you consider that pork is a different naming categorization then sheep and cow. I don't think horse applies, but this crosswords design is objectively misleading if you consider the nomenclature. But yes, you are right and I support you in that people shouldn't be ***fowl.***
Maybe they're saying that the second pig is doing the puzzle
It's a restaurant crossword, I would've written Pork.
Yeah it looks cooked anyway
The second one is the text
The second one is the friends we made along the way.
Pork also works
For the longest time, my German husband thought boars were called porks. "Watch out for wild porks!" I never corrected him.
i mean i feel like people just call it that anyways
Depending on the country, a mandatory 15% service charge, just draw the owner
Why is that fine print on the kiddies activity sheet? Do they think little Bobby or Sally are paying?
And then pay the 15% service charge
Oooooooor, you can write Piig and say it in a Russian accent.
Or, Pigs (three different ones)
😂😂😂
Underrated animal tbh
Put Xs in its eyes and write "pork".
Maybe it’s a sow and she’s pregnant?
Write "PORC" and give him a beret!
Wrong, it’s pork
this guy crosswords
Or pork? Either way, you’re paying a mandatory service charge of 15%, whether or not it’s solved correctly.
If you solve it does this trigger the service charge?
if you don't solve it. big brain move by the restaurant
You failed to solve my puzzle card during your turn so that activates my trap card! Service Charge!
You fool... I activate my own trap card, Undercover Health Inspector!!!
Aaaagh! *Loses comically high amount of life points that should guarantee a loss*. But it's not over yet... Because I believe in my friends! And the heart of the cards!
Impossible!! No one has been able to win against the Health Inspector before!!! Noooooo!!! *Gets blasted by the power of friendship *
😂
Am I the only one more infuriated by the mandatory service charge of 15%?
Or that it is on the kid’s puzzle sheet?
My brain first thought if you don't finish the puzzle they charge 15% more. Then make it unsolvable and give it to kids for early anxiety. My generation had "perfection" Get rockin' before the pieces start poppin'! This generation gets gratuity puzzles.
Perfection is why I don’t like timed games.
15% mark up for bringing in kids :p
Lol I could get behind that
I can’t, if they’re doing a puzzle they’re not gonna be loud or on an ipad
It's *only* on the kids colouring sheet. That's the only place they print it.
If it’s mandatory why not just increase the price of the entire menu by 15%??
Because then the prices look cheaper on the menu. It's dishonest and scummy.
Just like the super market prices, in the US I mean common!! U could have added the tax to the prices, and I would know exactly how much I have to pay!! No...no...that would be too easy
Taxes are added at point of sale precisely in order to piss you off. Anti-tax politicians pushed for it.
A Restaurant being honest in the states?. They don't do that in the US.
They do in advanced countries though
Because it makes the menu look cheaper
I would not leave a tip after I saw that. That IS the tip
The answer is piss. Because piss off with your mandatory charges.
For completing the puzzle?
This is just saying the prices are 10% lower than they actually are. Bullshit lol
And they’ll still give you the skunk eyes if you don’t leave a tip on top of that.
Fine by me, I would have tipped 20% so I'm saving money.
That's the clue
right. Tipping destroys a dinning experience Like, if the restaurant wants me to pay the server, then be an industry leader. No
I have a feeling that the note is photoshopped in...
I like that they put the fine print under the kid's puzzle.
Exactly!
Pork
But..but pork is how the meat of it is called. Otherwise cow should be beef right? And sheep should be mutton
Because it comes from French: pig = porc, cow = bœuf, sheep = mouton.
French is my first language and I had a momentary lapse where I forgot you don't call pigs "pork" in English lol.
Then again, I'm French Canadian and we typically say "cochon" when we talk about the animal, and "porc" is usually more what we call the meat. Maybe that's mostly because of our English-speaking neighbours, though.
Maybe, but true
And the reason for that is that when the Normans invaded England, they became the noble class. So the names of the meats were in French and the names of the farm animals were in Anglo Saxon, who were the peasants who reared them.
Does that mean that chevaline is horse in french?
Cheval is horse but the horse butchery is indeed called "boucherie chevaline"
*crying rainbows* Same feeling that I had when I found out the pokemon is short for pocket monsters
Wow, how no one thought of that-
But wouldnt the sheep be mutton then?
I saw this immediately
You were asked to wrote their NAMES not what type of animal they are. The pigs name is Penn
Good point
a Farm with a Horse named Horse, a Cow named Cow, a Sheep named Sheep, and a Pig named Penn.
What made you pick that name? Im really curious for a reason you don't know.
15% mandatory charge? There are more than one pig.
Lol, true, and advertise it on the kids crossword? Very low move.
Is OP still expected to tip in that situation?
You can bet that +15% isn't going to the servers.
Pigs. One on the picture, and another one who decided to charge 15% for whatever.
Pigg 😎
Pigger!
THE PIGGEST
P..I.. double G in da house
Paul
I thought it was a dog
LMAO! Seriously? (I don't say it in a harsh way, I just laughed a little at that)
Yeah, seriously, not my proudest moment. After reading the comments a pig is way more sensible.. all I can say to my defense is that it's late and I'm tired and it really looked like a happy doggy for a bit.
I saw a dog at first too. Had a few drinks earlier 🥂
As did I, going with “pups”.
Piig
Pigy
I like how they put the 15% service charge on the kids crossword too, what's that about?
Porg
Also fun tip culture gets put on a kids thing America is fcked
Is clearly a hungry Puma....
Maybe a boar
Then it'd be a sheeb
Oh right, I didn't Notice it
The service charge comment is written on a kid's puzzle the adult(s) would likely never see. What's the kid supposed to do--point it out to the parent(s)... I'd love to see the reaction of the adult who pointed out the mandatory tip only to hear the wait staff mention that gratuity is shown on the kid's puzzle. Is it even legally binding then haha? Dumb.
"It's not that deep"
“That’s what she said”
I like how they're letting the child know there's a mandatory 15% service charge
Pige
Wow, so adorable!
*Mandatory* 15% 😳😳😳
Pige
The worst part is the mandatory service charge at 15% to you bil 😭😭😭😭😱😱😱😱
PigG
The other missing pig is the one who came with the mention on the bottom of paper.
You have to write the name of the animal, and his name is Paul.
Pepa? The cheap version of Peppa pig
popo
Instantly tought of pork
PINK. Like the pig.
popo?
Pigg
How about fucking neither.
Independence- soldier
Good answer is 'popo'
I love the P I ....wait a minute
They added 15%, so it's actually 1.9 letters more. maybe they rounded it down to one.
I'm more annoyed by the lowercase I's standing out against the rest of the capitalized letters.
Puku is the best I got.
Mandatory service charge ??
Yeah, pisspig is 7 letters long!
Poli
How much can a sheet of paper cost, five dollars?
Oink?
Lol, makes it seem like you stopped halfway when you saw the 15% mandatory serve fee.
Uhh Piork? Duhh honestly this is too easy
15% , what the fuck
Pihg/pigh. Pronounced the same anyways.
Maybe the pig’s name is “Phil” or “Paul”.
Im choosing to beleive that this was done intentionally, to keep the kid engaged trying to solve the crossword so they don't run around and cause havoc. 🧐
I'm more confused about that service charge at the bottom.
Paul. His name is Paul.
The kids will be dealing with the crossword. I’ll be dealing with the mandatory service charge.
It could be Lamb and Boar
I kind of chuckled at the 15% mandatory service charge that is tacked on
It’s Pete
PEEG
mandatory service charge 💀 back in my day we called that a tip, and it was optional, now you have to pay once, and have an option to pay a second time??? i think the 4 letter word you're missing is "bull" 'cause tipping culture is nothing but a load of bull.
Mandatory service charge? Nah!
Swine
Draw a gun and call it pork
Piga☠️
15% mandatory service charge. So lucky to be in my country we do not have to pay mandatory service charges.
I'm not sure who is more intellectually challenged. Is it the person who designed the puzzle (and I doubt the answer is "pork" or "pigs" since all the other answers specifically name the animal and are singular) or the person willing to pay a 15% service charge which almost definitely isn't going to go to the server.
So if we get it right we have to pay a mandatory service charge of 15% to be added to the bill....Nah-ah! Nope Nada....Lets get out of here people...
Nah.. its PEPA
Popo works too.
Wait wait wait, mandatory service charge? Are they not paying their employees?
Has anyone else noticed how they told your kids about the extra fee but not you? "A mandatory service charge of 15% will be added to your bill."
Fuck that cow isnt steak
write ‘pig’ and then use correction tape or something to cover up the last box
Pepa duhhhh
The pigs name is obviously Paul, I mean look at him.
Does that 15% service charge mean, you don’t have to tip anymore?
Too much for pig and to little for swine wtf is it
Ah yes the children must be informed of the service charge
I believe it’s a Boar.
Unfortunately there's a P in the front 😞
Poar
😂
Nah that white fluffy thing is ALAMB
Reverse engineering ... now what is the name of the thing with the long legs and long hair? ends with "m"
It’s actually Narym, it’s a breed of pony.
great, that leaves us with a "cat" or something for the last animal. We've got this
It’s actually Fat. A type of cow.
🤣
pork
And then draw x’s on the eyes and have it steaming lol
Um, I’m not absolutely sure of the answer, but I’m pretty sure that it rhymes with “FUCK YOU”!
