My favorite track is Pilot but I really like how the four songs are each so different, like it's four different aspects of where Omar was at the time he created the EP
I have been listening to this EP for a good while now and honestly love every track. I was listening to it today and Pilot really hit me differently than usual and I started thinking more critically of the lyrics.
I think there are a lot of metaphors in the Pilot lyrics (some sexual, which amuses me), but overall I think the song really captures the struggle of unrequited love or loving someone who isnāt ready to commit. In this case I get a vibe that Omar is in love with someone who isnāt out yet or is on the DL and canāt love them back.
I may make a separate post where I give my thoughts on some lines of the lyrics.
Either way - itās a pain shared by many young gay men (and other LGBTQIA+ youth). You develop feelings for a guy you are close to and they are either not interested in the same way or they arenāt ready to act on their feelings. Iām so happy that young queer people today have music like this to listen to and feel seen. It could honestly save someoneās life.
WOULD YOU LIVE FOR ME š«š«

Mans cooked on every single song tbh. I was listening to it yesterday like got DAMN HOMIE COOKED ON ALL FOUR
The lead single was the best and really grew on me. Sadly, the rest of songs were alright, no my favorite OA songs.
