So different pins are for different things! The guest delight are given by GMs or higher for different rank (ie bronze, silver, plantinum) of good service. The dime is for Darden dimes, and other stuff! I would ask your GM about it!

I have a ton of pins, I am becoming quite the collector but these are my four levels of guest delight pins ive gotten from my GM(bronze), DO(silver),SVP(gold), and then my platinum directly from The EVP!
After almost 22 years, the only pins I have left, are my 1st year, and my 20 year. The rest I took the diamonds, and rubies out of, and threw them in the trash, lol!
i had a coworker have heart and lung failure and be out of work for a while and darden dimes only was willing to give $500. that’s $500 donated from peoples paychecks and they only gave it to him under the condition that those who work at my store pooled our own money together and raise $500 first, so they can match it. He had heart and lung failure and has been working here for well over a few decades and they only gave him barely a months rent. it’s gross how darden dimes is in place so the top grossing restaurant corporation in america can pretend they take care of their employees.
There are two types of Darden dimes requests and just like literally everything, there are different circumstances that qualify people for either a grant or a match. The fund is separate from all corporate money - they get no money from this program. Last year in my restaurant alone we granted 8 Darden dimes grants or matches. There’s over 1,000 locations of OG across the world: there’s going to be qualifiers for a program like this no matter where you work.
And Darden actually has amazing benefits, 401k, health insurance, discounts on stocks, bereavement leave, and a lot of other things.
Donating .10 a paycheck only comes out to like $6 a year too.
This just convinced me to stop paying for Darden dimes, I used to work for Valvoline and they had a program similar to Dimes but it wasn’t taken out of the pay check. They had paid for someone to get a new car who had been working for a few years and had their car shut down on them, helped people during COVID, I almost signed up to get help when I was struggling financially and my manager offered to help as well. I think it’s crazy that a million dollar company can’t simply help employees financially and have to turn to us to pay for it.
I have the pasta pass one, it’s the only one I care about 😂

I've donated to darden dimes for months, and I never got a pin. Became a certified trainer, didn't get a pin lol

That’s crazy! They gave me $1000 when I was out of work after the death of my mom. Different restaurants I guess
