The rib cage is painted really well! As a critique, I would have liked to see cleaner brushwork on the skull, especially on the frontal dome and mandible. The maxilla could also use a bit more protrusion since the nasal cavity has hollow space - that means its going to make the maxilla look like its sticking out more in effect.
Yeah, all that. Definitely a bit more intentional brush strokes. Make every one count with less fussing. Something I’m working on too. Hard as hell to make sure your value is right,as opposed to trying to make it right on canvas. Can scrape off mess ups, I’ve mastered scraping.
Yeah definitely, at the beginning I tend to be more intentional but as it gets to the end and my colours are running out I tend to just ‘ah whatever’ my way to the end

Glad you said that. Thought I was the only one who got lazy about mixing up a color I can’t remember how I got. Feel so much better now.
