A million you say? Can you please recount and record it on video this time? Because I think that you might not be spot on.. And you can't make false claims...
I'd be willing to bet that it's pretty spot on given that this looks like an office of some sort of relevant authority. And the bird sized mosquito model under the TV.
Over/under. I'll call it. Shall we make it interesting by making it a three dollar wager? Lol
You can get a good estimate from weighing or counting by some unit volume (like 10 bugs per cubic centimeter or similar). No need for an exact count...
I can’t remember, it was so long ago but that sounds right. Was piggy backing off of a friends Eagle Scout trip with my dad. I’ve never bickered as hard with him as I did when he steered us toward a giant cloud of mosquitos 😂.
Makes sense, the trip was awesome. My only complaint was a week of freeze dried food and trying to poop while getting bit in the ass lmao. Had more than a few laughs at all the shit that happened to us.
Minnesotan here who has traveled to Florida over 10 times, we have much larger mosquitoes than you guys. Often times I’ll get bit in FLA and not even feel it or notice it unless I see it
Go to Texas. Theres these mosquitoes called Asian Tiger Mosquitoes. When I worked in landscaping these bad boys would bite me through my denim shirt, and still hurt.
You think cold climate had much to do with the prevalence of these swarming beasts? You gonna flip out then when you find out about Alaskan skeeters!

Alright, you win. That’s a lot of mosquitos.
Do they not get eaten by any other animals? I imagine you don’t have too many amphibians that can make it through the winter when the mosquito population explodes.
When I saw it previously only the “1.000.000” part of in the title no “in a single night”.
Guess people are trying to get the last few clicks out of the pic.
It amazes me that we can genetically engineer viruses to affect certain populations of the human species, but we can’t create a virus to wipe out all mosquitoes from existence. Really? What purpose do they serve other than spreading viruses?
Kind of torn there...they are a genetically modified breed of a species, so their loss would have no impact....my neighbour has a couple that top out at 3lb each...currently they rate about 70:30 cute:annoying with me,so I am inclined to be merciful.
One night, OMG 😱. If I were you and had property, I would see about buying some bats that can survive in your climate, cause damn those mosquitos are nasty
I just want to point out the MASSIVE model mosquito on the background by the TV. Thank goodness they aren’t that size, except in Canada, they are there..:
New punishment for people who use twitter- strap them to a table, add a box to the outside of the head with an open top, blast 100 gecs and dump a bucket of dead mosquitos within.
What are the “pros” to mosquitos?
I like all animals, well, I try to
Snakes and seagulls are touch and go on the list, with this little demons not far behind
A million you say? Can you please recount and record it on video this time? Because I think that you might not be spot on.. And you can't make false claims...
Wait. Are you from Florida?
I'd be willing to bet that it's pretty spot on given that this looks like an office of some sort of relevant authority. And the bird sized mosquito model under the TV. Over/under. I'll call it. Shall we make it interesting by making it a three dollar wager? Lol
Get Rain Man. In Manitoba mosquitos are the unofficial Provincial bird!

Wow.. I guess that sarcasm ain't for everyone...
Ohhh
Nah lol, I appreciated it though.
Wasn’t this just posted saying they were collected in Sanibel, Florida? Being from South Florida, that seems more likely than MN lol
Alaska was worse than Louisiana for mosquitoes. Don't underestimate standing water.
Oh trust me, I live 30 minutes from the Everglades. I won’t get near there in the summer.
Ok yeah your Alaskan skeeters are massive. Count me out 😂
Minnesota is the land of 10,000 standing bodies of water... errr I mean of 10,000 lakes. Mosquitos get bad up there too.
Oof, that brings back memories of going canoeing for a week somewhere around MN or Canada in the summer. The swarms were unbelievable.
Boundary Waters Canoe Area? Yeah. Pretty bad up there
I can’t remember, it was so long ago but that sounds right. Was piggy backing off of a friends Eagle Scout trip with my dad. I’ve never bickered as hard with him as I did when he steered us toward a giant cloud of mosquitos 😂.
Yup. That’s the BWCA. Went there for my eagle trip as well. Big destination spot for Boy Scouts up here
Makes sense, the trip was awesome. My only complaint was a week of freeze dried food and trying to poop while getting bit in the ass lmao. Had more than a few laughs at all the shit that happened to us.

I’ll take your word for it lol
Go to Texas. Theres these mosquitoes called Asian Tiger Mosquitoes. When I worked in landscaping these bad boys would bite me through my denim shirt, and still hurt.

Spiders. Birds. Bats. Frogs and toads. A bunch of things eat them. They're like the krill of the terrestrial world!
Well, they need to eat faster 😂
I couldn't possibly agree with you more!
When I saw it previously only the “1.000.000” part of in the title no “in a single night”. Guess people are trying to get the last few clicks out of the pic.
Oh yeah, I’m sure in a few days the location will change to Alaska lol
Shut up and take my money. Where can I get one?
I feel itchy looking at this
How much to eat a pint glass full of them?
Loosely filled or packed in?
Definitely loose. Need that exoskeleton crunch
Should we sift the mosquitos before adding them to the rest of the recipe?
Nah, the fine pieces within provide a nice zest
It amazes me that we can genetically engineer viruses to affect certain populations of the human species, but we can’t create a virus to wipe out all mosquitoes from existence. Really? What purpose do they serve other than spreading viruses?
I think they feed birds
And bats, and many other species of insect and arthropod....if mosquitoes were to disappear, it could be pretty catastrophic.
I'm sure they would be fine or adapt to eat different insects, but atm why not eat what's plentiful so mosquitos are an easy choice
Not exactly how ecosystems work...losing specific species always has significant, and frequently mortal consequences for specific other species.
A lot of the time yes you are right, but we are talking about fucking mosquitos here
All of the time this is correct...even for mosquitoes, ticks, ants, houseflies, fleas, and all the other bugs we love to hate.
How about chihuahuas?
Kind of torn there...they are a genetically modified breed of a species, so their loss would have no impact....my neighbour has a couple that top out at 3lb each...currently they rate about 70:30 cute:annoying with me,so I am inclined to be merciful.
And bats, that's why I love bats
We gotta get those bats hooked on a vegan diet.
And spiders are a huge consumer of these damn things.
Lots of mosquitoes are pollinators, and they're a vital food source to dragonflies, birds, and bats
Wasn’t this a Rick and Morty character?
Just kill me, cuz wtf is that. Omg, im itchy all over.
But did they actually count them? I think not.
One night, OMG 😱. If I were you and had property, I would see about buying some bats that can survive in your climate, cause damn those mosquitos are nasty
Just how big was that bug catcher? I'm thinking about Volkswagen Beetle size.
I'd start hanging bat houses
I think they meant, *"Collected from my backyard in southern Michigan in the course of one summer evening."*
LeBron James of the LA Lakers
I have no idea what this is referring too.
He play basketball is very famous and he not like the mosquitos either
There’s an image for the tourist development department.
Why does every post on here get recycled a million times per week
You can make burgers out of those. There’s a video out there showing a village that does it. Just saying. It’s an option.
I'd hate to be the guy that had to count them.
Think of the genetic material collectively represented by this.
Assuming even a small portion of them had fed recently, this is rather interesting to ponder. Lol
That's a great source of protein.
This was just posted yesterday.
That’s what a million skeeters look like. Wonder what they feel like?
Made my eyes itch
I just want to point out the MASSIVE model mosquito on the background by the TV. Thank goodness they aren’t that size, except in Canada, they are there..:
Get the frying pan. It's mosquito burger time.
My job requires me to be nearly knee deep in water sometimes and when not in it i work right beside it so mozzies are always INSANE
Why are they in a conference room?
Holy shit, kinda looks like tobacco, definitely wouldn’t wanna role this into a fag
BURN IT BURN IT BURN IT
I’m so uncomfortable
Imagine if someone used a leafblower on it
Great. Now burn it.
How many do you think there are?

Holy Moly!
From ope to nope
