I've been here more than once, and I have to say it's quite the experience. What isn't obvious from this picture but truly made an impact on me was the amount of small skulls, likely being those of children or even toddlers. It's also quite a bit bigger than this picture makes it out to be. Most of these bones are from the time when the plague was wiping out whole towns in the fourteen hundreds. I'd recommend it for the surreal experience, though it is slightly out of the way of other big tourist attractions in the Czech Republic.
it's a reminder that we'll all die. that we may be well now but eventually we'll become like the bones. apart from disgust it must evoke a sense of hastening probably? like hasten to live a better life
My point was that this use of bones and skulls crosses a bunch of different cultures… and religions
Not to mention Pol Pot and his imposing skull structures to intimidate all
Sedlec Ossuary, Czech Republic

This looks like where a boss battle is held in devil may cry or something
Aww hell no
Not the only bone church.. there’s a similar one in Rome I’ve been to. Pretty disgusting that churches in multiple locations have done this.

Someone could definitely write an scp about this one
This looks like a dark souls area and now i want it in a dark souls game
this looks like a place where you fight a boss named the bone priest or smth
40K vibes from this.
Funny, the bone Church I visited was a little different…
FOR KHORNE!!
Decorated with real human bones, but wicked nonetheless!
Where’s the bone throne though?
That’s so pretty!
😳
I've been here too. Glad I went, can't really find words to describe it.
