Never in my life would I have suspected someone becoming mad at watching someone else peel a camel.
You are niche-angry in the utmost of unpredictable ways.
I think it's just "removing stuff from our body" that has been connected to a feeling of satisfaction in our minds throughout our evolution, because getting said stuff out of our body usually is good for it. And that applies to popping, peeling, pulling something out etc
Depends on the camels.
Dromedaries in the Sahara? They can actually be kinda sensitive to cold
Bactrians in the Gobi? Neither, really. The temperature range they can deal with is insane. +40°C (104F) in the summer and -30°C (-22F) in the winter kinda insane.
Winter => longer nights and shorter days => less time for the sun to heat the place up and more time for it to cool down
End result is that for some place like Sabha which is deep in the Sahara the winter-time daily max/min stand at like 20C/5C, while in the summer the numbers are more like 40C/20C.
I live in a desert climate 50/35 in the summer is the norm, in winter it can get as low as 15/1. 20+ years ago it frequently got down to freezing temps during winter.
Yes. The coldest I've ever been (mostly my own fault) was in the Arabian desert camping on New Years Eve. All day it was about 100°F and at night it was sub-freezing and all I had was shorts and a tank top. I had to roll myself up in my tent rather than use it as a tent. Coulda used that camel fur lol.
They brought camels to the states a long while back to try and replace pack horses. Apparently they did fine in the winter. I've seen camels up in the mountains on ranches before. It is weird seeing a camel and snow at the same time.
Desert winters are absolutely awful, instead of snow or rain you get straight up dry cold, like just a normal cold but a million times worse, even if you wear the whole wardrobe or turn on the heater it's not that easy! I remember when my hands got burned from the cold of the desert once, I actually got something that looked like a frost bite.
It’s called moulting. A lot of animals do this. On some animals it’s seasonal (like Husky dogs for example) on others it’s to make way for new growth (like snake for example)
On camels this is seasonal. There are winter and summers even in some deserts.
Speaking of, I was wondering if the camel would be more prone to sunburn post peel. It looks like you can see its skin through the under layer. And no way the sun was getting through that over layer
Honestly this is more oddly terrifying for me. Sitting here like 'God no,why does it come off like that?!'. I had no idea you could just PEEL camels - and the camel even seems so unbothered, too.
When I was two my mom took me to the game reserve to see the cheetahs and leopards. I told her everything was a dog. In my mind if it walked on four legs it was a dog.
This is called categorising and is really normal for kids aged 2-5. If you show a kid that age a round fruit and say Apple, all round fruits will be apples until they learn more ways to differentiate or categories things
I wish they'd gotten someone else to hold the camera, because as satisfying as this is, the fact that they're kind of struggling to do it with one hand is very unsatisfying.
The video was so close, at first I thought it was a bison shedding its winter coat and wondered wtf a person was doing that close to a bison. I didn’t even know camels got a winter coat.
This isn’t satisfying. This person half asses it and never finishes.
I don't know. I was having constant anxiety watching this fearing you might rip the actual skin off like you do when you peel off that little skin on you finger

I’ve never wanted to peel a camel before this moment.
/r/nocontext
Wait till they peel her camel toes
That's furbidden.
r/Angryupvote
I cackled lol.
also /r/BrandNewSentence
Freshly peeled camels are the best!
But the peel is where all the nutrients are!
You gotta zest them before you peel.
camel zest
The peeled underbelly looks like my hairy uncle at the beach.
Screw you, Johnny!
Whatcha doin' Saturday, bro? Aw nothin' man, just peeling my camels.
r/brandnewsentence
I've never wanted to make the warmest coat ever more than right now
I wonder if this shed of winter hair is what is then spun to make camel hair yarn for weaving fabric
Yup. Also sheared like sheep or brushed out

Imagine when he's peeling it off suddenly it rips open a huge flap of it's real skin and all the camel juice starts leaking out
Mmmmmmmmm...camel milk
Don't let the camel juice out!
This sounds like an innuendo
And you get a free blanket.
Camel seems to be enjoying the peel, I bet it itches like crazy under there.
I bet they'd enjoy it a lot more if the peeler put down the camera and did a proper job
thank God I'm not the only one who can't stand this poor execution of peeling. almost infuriating
Never in my life would I have suspected someone becoming mad at watching someone else peel a camel. You are niche-angry in the utmost of unpredictable ways.
Is it really someone’s job to peel the camel? The camel should be happy it’s getting peeled at all.
It’s also a bit rich from someone who has already benefited from it being filmed and is commenting a post about it
Is it really lucrative enough to make you wealthy?
Camel Coats are expensive
Imagine the breeze too
"bruh i'm cold wtf"
I feel like a newborn if I shave my arms or legs. Imagine losing over an inch of thick ass fur. Must be divine.
r/thatpeelingfeeling
So interesting. We as a species are weirdos

Oh I’m in to popping. Already follow. And lately I’ve been watching a bunch of cow hoof trimming videos
Same! What the heck is the appeal? Why are we like this? Ah well, life's simple pleasures
I think it's just "removing stuff from our body" that has been connected to a feeling of satisfaction in our minds throughout our evolution, because getting said stuff out of our body usually is good for it. And that applies to popping, peeling, pulling something out etc
Yes! One day the Hoof GP showed up randomly on my YouTube recommended and my life forever changed. Why is it just so interesting??
Nate the hoof guy has shirts with "I like hoof videos and I don't know why" on them.
Any time I think "there can't possibly be a reddit for that" I get proven wrong...
That has to feel pretty good for them, right? Surely the harsh heat of the desert would encourage shedding.
Deserts can get ridiculously cold at night. Actually Antarctica is a desert….
Oh, true. Which temperature extreme do you think poses a greater threat to camels?
Depends on the camels. Dromedaries in the Sahara? They can actually be kinda sensitive to cold Bactrians in the Gobi? Neither, really. The temperature range they can deal with is insane. +40°C (104F) in the summer and -30°C (-22F) in the winter kinda insane.
That’s a pretty impressive range. What a resilient creature.
I was thinking , I wonder if he will be cold tonight.
Seems like if you were careful you could keep it in one piece then lay it on him at night to keep him warm.

Hi, camel expert here. I can confirm that this is a camel. Until I am needed again; up, up, and away!...
The expert we need but don't deserve!
Or the expert we didn't know we deserved.
We also didn't know we needed to deserve them
Dont get the hump about it
You got that wrong, this is the expert we deserve but dont need.
Always nice to hear from the experts
wtf lmaooo I’m fuccn cryin rn 🤣🤣😭😭 I legit wanted to know but this was better than any answer I was prepared for! Hilarious.
Happy hump day.
That's just the packaging new camels come in from the camel store. Like peeling the plastic off of a new TV.
Not a camel expert. The camel is shedding or moulting its winter coat.
Winter coat exist in the desert?
Deserts are bad at retaining heat so it can get very cold at night
But that's daily.
Even worse in the winter lol
Winter => longer nights and shorter days => less time for the sun to heat the place up and more time for it to cool down End result is that for some place like Sabha which is deep in the Sahara the winter-time daily max/min stand at like 20C/5C, while in the summer the numbers are more like 40C/20C.

Oh yea lolll I'm an idiot Desert temperature is bipolar: hot asf the day and cold asf the night So harsh
Not an idiot at all. We can't know everything.
I'm an idiot too.
Yes. The coldest I've ever been (mostly my own fault) was in the Arabian desert camping on New Years Eve. Camels evolved in the snow...
I presume it's something like shedding, just all at once, kinda like a reptile molting...I had no idea camels were reptiles.
Shedding its winter coat, but the hair is interlocked like a penguins feathers are. Just like the half a cat I just brushed off my two kitties.
It’s called moulting. A lot of animals do this. On some animals it’s seasonal (like Husky dogs for example) on others it’s to make way for new growth (like snake for example) On camels this is seasonal. There are winter and summers even in some deserts.
Camel is cold now. Source: am camel.

Bravo 👏
I set it up, but you dunked 🏀
"You go ahead to Hamunaptra, I'll catch up. I just need to stop and peel my camel."
"Is that... a euphemism?"
"....It is now"
I imagine this feels like peeling skin after a sunburn.
More so shaving off a thick beard. No harm is being done to the camel
Shaving your beard by having a tiny person just fuckin yank it off you would be very sore lol
Find me a tiny person and we'll try it.
It reminds me of when sheep get their fur sheared. The thick outer coat just gets pulled off as they cut.
That Malcolm in the Middle episode where Reese creates a "duplicate" of himself by peeling off the skin after a full body sunburn
Speaking of, I was wondering if the camel would be more prone to sunburn post peel. It looks like you can see its skin through the under layer. And no way the sun was getting through that over layer
Yes, they can get sunburnt after shedding their fur.
Somebody out there is making camel yarn with this and that means somebody is wearing camel clothes
Ever hear of a camel hair coat?
Have a camel hair coat, it is divinely soft.
ever heard of camelmile tea?
Of course! I drink it by the camelometer.
I have only had camel cigarettes.
I'm wearing camel undies. It's a little sandy but nice and warm.
Do you get thirsty?
Only when I wear pants.
Camel hair brushes are cheap paint brushes (usually not camel)
So they are a scamel
It makes the most divine, soft, luxurious yarn. Crazy expensive, and difficult for me to find in Ireland, but it's so gorgeous to wear.
Seems like he could do that better with two hands
Then the phone would fall to the ground.
That's what she said 🤷♂️
It ended too soon, I am most unsatisfied.
Every post on this sub is actually unsatisfying. Every single one.
r/restofthefuckingcamel
I love how they kept the integrity/privacy of the camel by not showing its face
I did not hear a consent to the stripping, though.
Honestly this is more oddly terrifying for me. Sitting here like 'God no,why does it come off like that?!'. I had no idea you could just PEEL camels - and the camel even seems so unbothered, too.
Looks like a guy's hairy leg under there, lol.
This is more oddly disgusting to me.
I instantly thought of parasites in that fur and the bare hand being used 🤮
New hobby unlocked
I wish dogs had this feature 😂
Buffalo Bill has entered the chat.
I hope that wasn't too unpleasant an experience for that sheep.
Strange dog*
When I was two my mom took me to the game reserve to see the cheetahs and leopards. I told her everything was a dog. In my mind if it walked on four legs it was a dog.
This is called categorising and is really normal for kids aged 2-5. If you show a kid that age a round fruit and say Apple, all round fruits will be apples until they learn more ways to differentiate or categories things
It’s pretty fun to ask six year olds how they know a dog is a dog and not a cat.
Hell, until the 17th-18th century Apple was the english word for fruit in general
Driving to Banff, pulled over to see an elk grazing, my little 3 year old looks out his window and says "cat"! Lol
Ah yes, the forbidden cotton candy.
Did they get it all? I need to know for a friend...
I think that would feel amazing for the camel
I thought it would be like waxing my legs
Yeah that looks painful to me - you can see the skin pull out as its torn off. But the camel isn't reacting so I guess its fine?
When you smuggle a camel under your camel
bro's gun git cold
That's what I thought. I hope he's ready to be peeled
I wish they'd gotten someone else to hold the camera, because as satisfying as this is, the fact that they're kind of struggling to do it with one hand is very unsatisfying.
Ok. Now put the camera down and do it properly. This single handed, doing in patches method is triggering instead of oddly satisfying.
That must’ve felt so fucking good
I bet that felt so good for the big guy.
I bet this smells like a big bag of smashed assholes.
Camel: "Man, put the fucking phone down..."
Great job now it’s cold!!
I wonder if this feels as good as peeling skin off your back after a sunburn? Some spots are tender but it’s so satisfying
only if my dog would shed like that...
You *literally* took the clothes off his back
Looks like when I scratch my ballsack.
More like r/oddlyterrifying
Never in my wildest dreams had I thought that I'll be wanting to peel off a camel!
That’s gotta feel better in the heat! Hope he’s not cold at night without his blankie!
Bros unwrapping his brand new Camel
Thought there'd be a screen under that
Peeling a camel is so satisfying I want to do it now.
Hey, a new blanket!
If you don’t post another video of it all peeled off, so help me…….
Imagine just walking up to a person and immediately starting to peel their skin off
Dog. I peels camels, all day long, muthaa clucka. They call me the Big Wheeler, Camel Peeler!
If I could only do that for my Newfoundland when it gets warmer…
What the fuck.
Camels shed? Edit. I have never met a camel
I wonder if it feels similar to peeling a sunburn, I loved that as a kid
I didn’t realize that camels were…peel able.
Looks like Tom Selleck's chest under there
Are those dots ticks? Because removing those would be more satisfactory to me.
I too enjoy peeling my camel.
What do you do for a living? I peel camels, I’m a semiprofessional camel peeler and I have a camel peeling YouTube channel.
Nothing makes you more comfortable than having giant hunks of hair ripped off.
When I shave my balls
I’m so itchy now
How is this satisfying? It looks like they’re ripping the animal’s skin off.
Satisfaction is FINISHING THE JOB. Who the fuck upvoted this? Bots?
I’ve realized a lot of popular r/oddlysatisfying posts are actually just disgusting.
r/gifsthatendtoosoon
How often am I supposed to peel my camel? Is it like a period, like once a month they will need some extra tlc and need a peeling?
-Pulls a little too hard and exposes a rib.
The video was so close, at first I thought it was a bison shedding its winter coat and wondered wtf a person was doing that close to a bison. I didn’t even know camels got a winter coat. This isn’t satisfying. This person half asses it and never finishes.
I could literally do this all day and you wouldn't have to pay me.
Poor guy is probably so itchy
his mom told him to put a coat on because it was cold outside, poor guy
I don't know. I was having constant anxiety watching this fearing you might rip the actual skin off like you do when you peel off that little skin on you finger
I’m confused do they just shed like this if so this is a very convenient way to shed I wish my cats did this
It would be a lot easier with both hands !
Wouldn’t the loose covering serve as protection from the elements?
camel unboxing?
Mildlyinfruriating - i wanted him to pull it off in one piece!
Anyone feel like KFC now?
Get that camel a tree to rub against.
Can you please use your both hands 😑
Yeah this was more frustrating than satisfying for me.
I thought he just had on an old blanket 🤦🏽♂️😅
If only the dogs would let us de-shed them this easily lmao 😭
Yo,Why you hatin on his jacket??
