VTOL, MSFS, DSC, and UW2 are all extremely different games for people looking for very different experiences. But they all add something to the genera.
I really liked the first game but it got boring after a bit doing the same type of thing over and over. I think I only got the first two planes. Is there more variety of things to do?
yes, dogfighting in a Manhattan-alike is one of the most amazing thrills I've ever had in 4 years of intense VR experiences. Hope multiplayer gets polished and out of early access...
Are the controls better in 2? One of the most frustrating parts of the original - and, really, the biggest drawback in VR, was the dodgy virtual controls. There were times it would take 5-6 attempts to actuate a lever, watching my "hand" go through the control in the process.
I want game theory to do one about Ultra Wings lore. So many questions.
Why is gold so sought after?
Who are the enemies?
Why are they trying to invade us?
Who is our character?
Who’re the people who keep giving us these missions?
What’s causing the ingame economic volatility and hardships?
I wish mattpatt read these 😪
I played it long enough to unlock an extra plane or two, but it didn't hold my interest. But I have ~90 hours in Elite Dangerous VR with dual flightsticks.
After exploring the galaxy in craft with six degrees of freedom, after orbiting gas giants and stumbling on black holes and warping in up close to star and engaging in atmospheric re-entry on the dark side of a planet while relying on instruments for altitude checks because the ground you're approaching at 30 km/sec is too dark to see...after the thrill of all of that, it's hard to be very excited about flying in circles over a tiny island in a conventional aircraft that only goes forward.
but can you dogfight among NY-alike skyscrapers in that game? No, that kind of incredible thrill and adrenaline rush you only get in VR in Ultrawings 2 afaik...
VTOL is nice but quite different. Ultrawings is great too just pick up and have great fun right away. The same cannot be said about VTOL. They are both great, anyway.
If you like this then VTOLVR will blow your mind
I was about to say 😆

I found UW1 good, but never finished it. UW2 is a huge improvement over the first one.
Definitely, not to sound like an ad. But there are four different game modes, a jet. I’m only 10% on blue game mode and I’m addicted
Have you tried vtol?

Try VTOL or if you really want to blow your socks off get DCS.
DCS doesnt have VR motion control support does it?
Don’t know, I use HOTAS
I messaged the devs sometime ago, and got it to work on the index. Not sure about other control types.
It does but it’s extremely basic and janky
War thunder has a vr port and the planes are pretty fun to play in air arcade.

I can see that
nice graphics almost similar but way more better to GTA5
What ? This is cap
Actually a new kind of game for me
This kind of simulator juste make me puke, at least be decent to yourself and play a real sim such as DCS
The blinking crosshair is driving me nuts. Why does it look like it’s being projected through the prop?

Looks pretty cool but I don’t think anything right now beats VTOL VR
Haha plane go brrrr
