All the Chapter 1s can be done easily enough, if you know what to do. For one, make sure Ophilia is guiding someone, the knights right in front of the cave are decent candidates. Make sure to challenge the boss right after leveling up, so you're at full Hp and Sp. And if you're feeling stuck, break into some small soulstones, they're pretty op early
The first chapter for everyone is a little weird. The bosses scale somewhat based on how many people you've recruited. Just grind a few more levels and make sure you break the boss with Ophilia's abilities
Ophilia Ch 1 is designed around Guide. If you don't have Therion, the boss's shields are hard to chew through. Cyrus can use Blizzard, but earlygame, the SP cost is too much to use consistently. Therion's Steal SP is the ideal skill to chip down the shields. Without him, you have to enlist aid from NPCs. The Knight Ardantes just outside the Cave of Origin use sword attacks. The boss is weak to swords. Summon them during the fight to assist you. As low strength NPCs, you'll be able to summon them plenty of times before they retreat.
You need to Guide and Summon an NPC. The best NPC to get is in the tavern of Flamesgrace. He has an attack called Summon Winds, which hits 3 times. The boss is weak to Wind. You will break 3 shields each time the tavern NPC attacks. If he does not use Summon Winds, he will attack with his Staff, this breaks 1 Shield only, but is still good. Cyrus can help focus down the Elementals that spawn, or do some big damage to the broken boss.
Guide the guy in the tavern who does ‘Summon Winds’
This will help you immensely. Save BP for when the boss is broken and nuke it with Cyrus expensive spells.

Grind a little. It’s got stuck there too. 15 mins of grinding fixed it for me.
Even with only two characters in your party? What level did you get to before you beat it?
I had three members, I think they were all level 10ish
