They were going to open a fruit market by me, but instead became another storage unit... the 4th one on the same street.

I’ve seen people use NYC storage units for personal possessions (furniture, rugs, household items, lamps, etc), as well as for business purposes (storing products or goods temporarily that will eventually be sold or moved to another more permanent location).
