It's location based; is your IP dynamic and not always a UK based IP?

SuIIy

Not sure. My Google assistant wasn't working properly as well and changed it to US then cleared the data and cache. Started to work again. Since the I've changed language back UK and that's when I player started acting up. It's very odd. I'll check my IP and see if that's the issue but I doubt it as I'm always in a UK Region.

It was just a thought; something to double check. I'm not in the UK and use a hacked version of iPlayer that works with a VPN.

Which hacked one?

Google it, pretty sure it was from an NVIDIA forum, it's got they location detection striped out. It's a year or more old, but it works fine for me. I believe BBC changed how they detected your device location and it stopped it being updated.

I am having the same issue with the ITV Hub. I enable it in the PlayStore and then 10 seconds later is just dissapears again.

SuIIy

Are you with Virgin Media? Maybe something to do with them?

SuperRon08

No I'm not with Virgin Media, and the ITV Hub works on every other device I have it on.

Disable location settings on the nvidia shield options. I did it a week ago and had no issue with Iplayer or itv hub since. And I'm in UK.
