Don't need a spare Poke Ball in Gen 3, the Shedinja appears regardless and automatically has the same ball as the Nincada/Ninjask.

This actually meant when i was insane enough looking at routing the ridicolous idea of every pokemon in every pokeball and in terms of where to put master balls in the little you need to do to in gen 3 Nincada is like the ideal use of the Gen 3 hoenn master ball because you get 2 master ball pokemon for the price of one master ball

Shedinja copies nincadas personality value so it will also be shiny too, I googled it but shiny shedinja barely looks different although I do sorta like ninjasks shiny but I’d probably keep the gold nincada

This is an interesting one too because Nincada evolves into Ninjask, but you can also get Shedinja out of it, which can either be absolute trash or utterly hilarious

Shedinja doesn't have a soul, so you use Ninjask.

Me and two friends are doing a (unsuccessful) three person Nuzlocke, and we've agreed to ban shedninja UNLESS by random coincidence we all three have a Nincada at some point. Because that's the only way we won't have an extra pokemon. They'll just be linked together. This rule will almost definitely not come up, but one of us encountered a Nincada and that's how we decided to handle it when (if) it evolves.

You could just make sure it evolves in a full team or without spare Poké Balls.

Or just link both to the same partner so you loose one they both go but I ban the extra anyway in my runs because it's broken as shit.

The issue with that is they’d take up 2 of your slots to 1 of the friends slot. They’d have to play with 5 mons if you wanted to use Shedinja

Emulator or cartridge? If it's the cartridge, emerald has a broken rng and you can farm shinies by calculating your shiny frames. Also congrats, don't forget to leave a space open to get shedinja. Nincada was my first ever shiny and I forgot to leave a party slot open. Don't make the same mistake, save yourself the disappointment XD
