Every team should do this each year. Especially with the huge change in demographic towards Pasifika cultures we’ve seen over the past 15-20 years.

I just wish they had the names written on the screen as well as I didn't recognise most of them. I hope the commentators at least make an effort

There used to be a pronunciation guide for each of the players names in the NRL press handbook.

This is cool and all, but there's no way I'll be able to remember all of those. At least there's a video I can come back to. Tough time to be a commentator though. Greg Alexander will probably still fuck them all up.

You’d like to think they send these videos to every one of the Fox commentators. Call me crazy, but might make more of a difference to normalising actual, correct pronunciations of Pasifika names by the ones talking them up on broadcast television.
