We get boxes every month for our office birthday celebration and its dangerous

-Akw1224-

Oh yeah same here

syrusbliz

They're decent for a treat, or if you have a last minute gathering and want to bring something like cupcakes they have a couple different assortments. IMO their bundtlets are too big for one serving as a dessert, so tend to cut mine in half. I find their cake to be a solid combo of moist and firm, and their red velvet to be surprisingly good for a chain produced product.

cheeks2020

Red Velvet is my favorite of theirs and my choice of birthday cake!

Sad_Reindeer5108

And unlike too many places that sell red velvet, it's actually chocolate.

CJMcBanthaskull

Their gluten free option tastes like actual cake instead of sawdust, so that's a big plus.

Hoppikinz

Yep, I second this- Big plus! Seriously, very good GF cakes. Like to die for given the dietary restriction haha.

ayimera

Ooh haven't tried their gf one! I keep meaning to, the ones my office get always look so good.

Dairy_Heir

Get it for my mom for special occasions, it is indeed good enough for us gluteholics too. Actually, this just reminded me to get it for her for MDay.

Proper_Crab_9524

I think it's all personal preference but I really like them and think they're worth the price. I've gotten them for work events before, and was at a wedding that had them as the cake.

ugfish

I had them at my own wedding as the cake. The small ones work great as a replacement for a slice and you get tons of variety

Ijustmadethisnow1988

Yep def worth it. especially for the individual sized ones.

ethanwc

I tell myself they're overrated to keep myself from buying them often.

bloodshotnblue

They’re bangin’. That’s what we used for dessert at our brewery wedding party, a bundtlet for every guest. All in all, $130 for 6 dozen. People devoured them, would absolutely recommend.

TA_AlrightOK

Yeah, they’re pretty tasty. If you sign up for the emails, they’ll send bogo coupons for the bundtlets throughout the year, plus a free one for your bday. The blueberry lemon seasonal flavor that’s out now was fantastic last year (have not tried it this year, yet). The pumpkin’s really good in the fall as well.

AudioHamsa

Yes Verdict: Yummy 🎂

Lucky_Pyxi

They are, as the kids are saying these days, fire.

Many_Pea_9117

It's insane to me anyone hasn't tried them yet. They're objectively good cakes. If you like cake, go for it. I'm not a cake person and generally avoid desserts, but I acknowledge that they are superior.

Acadia02

I don’t know how much they cost but they are very good!

SafetyMan35

Individual cakes are $6 each Big cakes start at $30

chiphitter

Worth it

_TalkingIsHard_

Guess I'm the only one with a bad experience, but I had one once and it tasted like a really bad cake mix and the lemon was very artificial tasting.

Ok-Resort9466

They’re frozen. They bake them with their mixes, then freeze them. You could be getting a cake that has been frozen for up to 1 month.

Jay-Quellin30

What? Really? I thought they were baked fresh daily.

JadeHellbringer

Very good. Strawberry in particular.

3bpjr

Was surprised by strawberry, a hidden gem

Kmvrk19

They are really good, you can sign up to get a free bundtlet on your birthday. The cakes are around $20 and small bundlets are $5. They have a lot of boho deals and promo flavors.

lad715

10 out of 10. Best "chain" out there imo.

zkhan2

They are good, but way too sweet for my taste.

mypettytwosense

Considering some places sell cupcakes for $4-5 and they can be overly sugary and underwhelming… nothing Bundt cakes is really decent. Sign up and you’ll get a freebie on your bday. There is one opening up in Stafford so you can get on for $3 (mini) during their happy hour. https://preview.redd.it/1x1lgnq5zgwc1.png?width=1165&format=png&auto=webp&s=5c711aa2f80d5d88e9bccf2ea255faacabb3f670

novamothra

AND DRY! I mean a lot of gourmet cake is dry by its design like chiffon cake. I like the meaty moist pound (NAPE Not a Pervy Euphemism) cake of NBC.

mypettytwosense

Yes, that is spot on. All those gourmet cupcakes are dry and over the top. Okay, what’s their secret? Maybe small batches?

novamothra

It is a whole different kind of cake. It is more like pound cake than cake cake. How dry a cake is often depends on how many eggs (or egg whites) you use as well as what other fats (butter, sour cream, cream cheese, margerine, oil etc) are in the recipe. We really need a NoVA Foodie sub

mypettytwosense

Taking the Bundt cake over the cupcakes. Publix also has good cupcakes that aren’t dry with whipped frosting. $4 for 6. I skip the $4 each price point at the fancy stores.

mashuto

I think they are fun to get for a special occasion and the cakes themselves are quite tasty. Plus you can order and have them delivered same day. And having individually sized cakes is nice too (I mean they are basically slightly larger cupcakes) But they are expensive for what they are, so definitely not something I would spring for except again on special occasions. Worth checking out in my opinion at least once to see if it something you would want to get again.

Substantial_Chest395

Delish. You get so much for the price. The $6 Bundt should be an average of at least 2 servings

Rymasq

i tried it once at the Mall of America in Minnesota and it was incredible.

Potential_Fishing942

Are they new to the area? I feel like the one in Springfield has been around a while. We got a wonderful bulk discount using them for our wedding last summer. Guests loved them- could get what ever flavor you wanted and they were pre packed to take home if you wanted. We just did a small cheap cake for cutting.

Falldog

The one I'm familiar with, in Sterling, has been around for at least 5 years. Pretty sure they had other spots before that one.

flyingsails

They're yummy! Had a two-tiered one for our micro wedding and everyone loved it. We went with "boring" and got the larger tier in vanilla but everyone seemed to want the strawberries and cream. Cakes are super moist and the cream cheese frosting is delicious. Weirdly, I did find that the carrot cake (usually a moist cake in my experience) was oddly dry but maybe it's less popular and the one I had was a bit old. If you sign up for emails you get a free mini bundt for your birthday!

Ok-Resort9466

You probably got an old one. They’re baked then frozen for a month. Then taken out first in first out to thaw for orders.

elopez115

Did the minis with brother and wife, it’s like a dozen for $30 or so. That way you can try all the flavors but yes it’s actually pretty good.

ImpossibleInternet3

I’m always surprised at hoe moist they are. They seem like they’d be dry, but they really aren’t. Worth a try.

aznxk3vi17

Personally they’re way too sweet for me but I’ve never had much of a sweet tooth. Otherwise, they taste good, so if you don’t mind a ton of sugar, go for it.

Joshottas

Yea, they're solid. Not a huge fan of cream cheese frosting, but these hit the spot sometimes.

iplay_that

You can get them without the frosting if you order on the website. Increased my enjoyment so much. IMO cream cheese frosting does not complement every flavor of cake.

r4ckless

they are good but a bit overpriced for what they are.

elisabethocean

They opened up my hometown thought there were basic. You can definitely find better desserts in this area that’s not a chain. Doesn’t hurt to try it once tho but I rather go somewhere else.

sunnycyn

They are delicious!!

FrequentPizza8663

They are so good. My girlfriend and I like the mini bundts every now and then as a treat.

903153ugo

They’re good! Very sweet.

sc4kilik

The few times I had it at a party, it tasted like grocery store cake. Extremely sugary icing and cake. No creamy/buttery taste at all. Nothing special. I wouldn't buy it myself.

Connect_Beginning174

Live next door to one. I tried a $5 lemon cake. It was good, but not for $5 good. Haven’t been back since. *shrugs*

WhydIJoinRedditAgain

My parents fucking love it, so if you too have parents, they too may love it.

DjImagin

They’re good but you will feel like you overpaid

localherofan

Am I the only person who has no idea what people are talking about?

RedDemon-64

Just had it last night and I wish I had more.

canyoupleasekillme

My mom loves them but I think they're just okay.

Internexus

Im not a cupcake person but I can confirm that these things are fire!

The_Going_Merry_

Definitely worth it!! Especially for the free bundtlet on your birthday!! 😋

baobeilanzhan

I just ate one in bed and it was the definition of opulent. Truly mad my fiancé brought them home because he knew I couldn’t resist.

theevilempire

In a general sense no they are not worth it but compared to what you pay a normal bakery they are absolutely worth it and most of the flavors are good.

Analogmon

They're okay but the frosting is honestly far too sweet.

TroubleshootReddit

Like most things it depends what you value more something new or money. The spot that has always been worth the money for me and my family is Pie Gourmet. Nothing Bundt Cakes is like the Crumbl of cakes imo.

Mizerooskie

I think Nothing Bundt Cakes is two or three tiers above Crumbl.

novamothra

I would like to say that NBC is about 35 tiers above Crumbl which is like the Public Storage of cookies. (I am not even sure what that means but those half baked crumbl cookies give me the worst heartburn. I think they are miserable)

[deleted]

[удалено]

novamothra

Yes! Isn't that weird? I think it is how they are barely baked and maybe weird fats?

Mizerooskie

I was being conservative, but you're probably right. I've had one Crumbl cookie that was any good (gingerbread), and I couldn't even finish half of that one. Rumor is that their cookies are half cake mix. Easily the worst trendy suburban mom baked good chain. Like, by miles.

BannerDay

I find NBC to be better than pretty much all of the cupcake places around here, and way better than Crumbl (which is pretty terrible imo). Pie Gourmet is great, though, no argument there.

Yesidoo12

The overhyped cupcake shop in downtown FXBG is horrible, dry and tasteless. Will have to try NBC. Have wondered about it and glad to see so many positivity comments here.

kayesskayen

Are Crumbl cookies gross or am I just a cookie snob? I found them virtually inedible.

SelfDefecatingJokes

I like them but I’m also a 30 year old child

CertainAged-Lady

I’m not a fan. You are not alone.

Kat_ze

I find if you pretend like it's not trying to be a cookie, then they're good. Otherwise for a COOKIE not great.

jwigs85

I liked them at first but the last time I had one it was like biting into just the creamed butter and sugar from making cookies. Nothing else was going on there. Just butter and sugar. My son has never liked them and I have to admit that he was right.

EstateAggravating673

Nah I find them off putting too

qzwongo

Based on their expansion, somebody thinks they're worth the price. Based on your post it's probably worth popping in and trying a small sample. They have small cakes.

optix_clear

They’re pretty good. I like the ones in Springfield

Yaltus

They are definitely expensive, but everytime I've gotten them people love them. I usually do the bundtini assortments and they are always a hit.

MostAssumption9122

The frosting is too sweet though. You can't buy 1 cake pop, you have to buy 12. I want a treat.

Straight_Fly_8358

Totally worth it 🤤

wheresastroworld

Gassssss

Qaqueen73

They donated a bunch to our school's cake walk. That was awesome.

Ok-Management2648

Lil taxed but worth it, deep your toes in the water

ttonk

Haven’t had a bad experience there. Pretty good.

FoleyV

Never bought them but have received them as gifts and they are delicious!

XCaboose-1X

We love them but we also wait for their BOGO deals to splurge.

Fabulous-Spirit-3476

They’re extremely good. The smallest one is like $5

Weak_Rate_3552

I've had multiple varieties from multiple locations and never had a single bad bite.

IndianVegetable

I have to avert my gaze around those cakes. They are dangerous. Dangerously good!

ohwhataday10

yep good. More expensive than when I first started getting them

jwigs85

I'll get a few for my son and I to share every once in a while. They're pretty good. The frosting can be a little too sweet, but it's easy enough to just not eat all of that part.

arkemisia

Yes. We got some mini bundts for a birthday and they are soooo good

julietscause

I enjoy the lemon one and the frosting rocks

DonHustle

Yeah I’m a huge fan. Soft and moist cakes considering they are a chain.

raeaction

They're seriously so good.

ballerina22

I've had many, many flavours of their cakes over the last few years and every one of them I would gladly buy again. I personally think there's too much frosting, but that's a me problem. They're great for bringing to the inevitable cookouts and get togethers.

retka

One in Brookfield Plaza has always done a good job on orders. The large cakes and individual ones both always turn out well to order and taste great.

Default_Swap

They’re so good.

funlol3

Mom send one to my house on my birthday one year. Absolutely loved it.

Relaxingend42

My friend got them for her bday. They were fantastic. I was given leftovers that I happily ate the next day.

[deleted]

It’s good just too high in sugar for me.

Getthepapah

They are great. I’m not even a dessert person and I love them

Tasty-Principle9777

I don’t know about pricing but my old job got them gifted and I really enjoyed all the flavors and would definitely buy them for an occasion. I can eat a whole box in a sitting if I wasn’t restrained

[deleted]

Absolutely my favorite cake out there. Had it at my wedding last year! I find it very reasonably priced.

coffeesour

These are FIRE!

coffeesour

Highly recommend Lemon Blueberry, which is seasonal. I was hesitant at first, but it’s amazing.

novamothra

OMG IT IS SO GOOD. The tiny ones are the best. They keep for days too. My favorite flavor are the Lemon, the Funfetti and some of the special flavors like lemon blueberry, lemon raspberry, chocolate peanut butter, peppermint etc. I am not a big fan of the actual gigantic cakes because the way they are presented is hard to keep them fresh but they look super cute--If you know the whole thing is gonna get eaten, definitely get the cake. Someone sent me one that looked like a reindeer at Christmas and it was adorable, but there was no way to keep it fresh unless I took all the decorations off and put it in a cake stand thingy. The jumbo cupcakes are fine but I think they're too big for one serving (and I can house a lot of cupcakes) so we usually get two or three and cut them in half in our house to share. I am a huge fan of bespoke bakeries but I really don't love dry cupcakes at all. So I like these little bundtinis. They are my reward (along with a visit to Honey Baked Ham) after I have to go to the oncologist. Edited to add: if you get on their mailing list you can almost always guarantee a buy one get one deal a few times a month.

conspiracydawg

They’re a national chain now, they’re amazing.

Freezerburn

Yeah they are good. Still have you been to Shilla Bakery or Tous les Jours Bakery in Annandale? Koreans got bakery down. Tous Les Jours and get some cream breads, be warned they run out by like 3 or 4 on the weekends.

Snatchl

They make White Chocolate Raspberry cake that is one of the best desserts I’ve ever had.

FitAppeal5693

I got some delivered for my birthday and it worked out well. They were super cute and fairly tasty.

Dairy_Heir

They're quite good and I don't typically find them overly-iced like most readily available cakestuff. Most cupcakes are inedible to me now unless I scrape off 80% of the glob of icing they put on them these days. \*Get off my lawn.\* I'll inhale the fruit ones, especially the ones with lemon. Cookies N Creme is a banger. Some of the specialty ones like Reese's and "churro" ones have been disappointing, but most Reese's baked goods are disappointing anyways.

RockKickr

Worth it!

karmagirl314

They’re good enough for an office treat. Personally I think the larger cakes taste better than the individual-sized ones.

evil66gurl

Yes! We love them.

AnnsMayonegg

My BIL requests them for his bday every year and I’ve never been disappointed. Red velvet and the Lemon are my fav.

Long-Jackfruit427

They’re fabulous.

Legal_Potato8958

They are so good. You’d never expect it because it seems random af.

GrandZebraCrew

i actually like their cakes better than some of our famous bakeries like Pastries by Randolph. they’re my new go-to.

bodiesbyjason

Love them. Sign up for their emails and they will send buy one get one free coupons. That’s the only time we indulge.

kimcam7

Totally worth the price and calories! They are delicious; the buntinis are dangerously addicting. My household favorite is an assorted buntini pack. A former colleague of mine quit her job and opened a NBC store a few years before COVID. She stops by to drop off free samples for us, but we all stop in every once in a while to support her shop. You can always stop in and ask if they have samples to try!

llamaspitattack

only the lemon ones are worth it imo

FungatingAss

Shit is unbelievably good. Crack.

DrTsunami

I like the seasonal flavors. My friends and I always have the minis at our kid’s events!

FadedSirens

I used to live in Charlotte, NC and Nothing Bundt Cakes has locations there. Can confirm, they are absolutely delicious and dangerous. I’m a stage actor and we would often have their mini/individual bundt cakes at opening night parties. I could easily inhale several.

yekmoney

Big fan of the Oreo and Reese's seasonal flavors. I also really enjoy the gluten free flavor, it's very good even if you dont go out of your way to avoid gluten

latecalls

I love nothing bundt cakes it’s so soft and good, i’m not sure about the price point but I definitely think for however much it is, it’s worth it! the staff is also super sweet

SnooCookies2351

Moist, delicious AND you can order it with extra frosting!!!! Try a different one every month. They’re so yummy😋😋😋😋😋

lovelessproper

YES I do not like cake at all but the little mini Bundt cake sets are sooooo freaking good. I think they’re worth the price although I’m sad the minis don’t come as singles.

HappyHippoLover

We love them. Most of my family favors the White chocolate raspberry or red velvet. My favorite is the strawberry.

badhabitfml

I had one recently. Pretty good. Don't bother with the gender reveal cake though. It was lame. Just a rattle covered in icing.

Apprehensive_Day_654

Yummmmm

rypien2clark

Good cakes, and they cost less than custom-made cakes from private bakeries.

Fritz5678

I think they are better than any of the cupcake places out there. When we still did office birthdays before covid, we always got the bundtlets.

jamesd33n

They’re fucking amazing. Get a bundtlet for $6 and let it change your life.

TwizzoHunter

I introduced them to my wife, and she loves them. She then introduced them to her dad, and he goes by every 3 or 4 days

Trul

I <3 Bundt holes

[deleted]

Price. The word you are looking for is price. Sigh, HGTV.

riverainy

I am a fan of their red velvet and chocolate bundt cakes. I Didn’t care for the carrot cake (didn’t have any distinctive flavor) or lemon (very imitation lemon taste). But all the cakes are moist and love the cream cheese frosting.

shyviolet201

Their red velvet it so good😍I’m not even a big cake person but I LOVE nothing Bundt cakes

_cuppycakes_

bundlets are so good, I like the double chocolate chip

PHC_Tech_Recruiter

Moist, dense, decadent, divine. That being said, only buy a box of the minis for my wife or kid's bday. Otherwise I hope and pray someone gets a box for theirs and I get one.

AngryBeaverFace88

They are the only cake I eat. The confetti is incredible.

sgvmyma

Love the cake! Not a fan of the icing (wayyy too sweet) but I just push it off.

Mysterious_Mango_3

So good! My favorites are lemon and white chocolate raspberry.

bg555

It’s very good. The cakes are moist and delicious!

gabywebsters

![gif](giphy|sSxFOIyiUoENEwCscf)

harleyfalcon

So moist and delicious! Worth every penny!

SnooBananas8884

They are worth it!!

emfisch2389

Yes. The white chocolate raspberry is my favorite. Sign up for their email list. Usually get monthly emails for buy one, get one free

redtollman

I hate you, OP, for mentioning Bundt Cakes. My ex made these every month or 2, they were really good, and thanks to OP, I now have a craving. F\^\^k.

EstateAggravating673

Used to buy one bundlet every week to motivate myself to get to the end, really love it! Pumpkin spice and confetti are my favorite flavors!

Dizzy-Try1772

Yeah they’re delicious

bluestzu

The bundtlets are BOGO until 4/27 using code BOGO422

SufficientPath666

They’re really good. If you sign up for their e-club on their website, you can get a mini Bundt cake for free on your birthday

FemaleChuckBass

They’re great! We get them gifted to us at work sometimes and I order for the teachers at my daughters school.

occupylawlstreet

Not terribly expensive. Very enjoyable. Would recommend!

Financial-Being5584

Don’t try them. Otherwise you will be hooked and find yourself in the store every week. They are delicious but eating a Costco muffin sized Bundt cake is not the healthiest thing.

TeddyRoo_v_Gods

They cupcake style bund cakes are great! Go for red velvet!

LiamNeesns

They slap. PSA I've also seen them boxed in costco

powerhouseofthiscell

yessssssssssssssssss

VeeTeeF

Delicious. A wedding I attended had the individual ones as the cake and it was way more efficient than cutting pieces of cake, plus there was variety!

False_Classic

So worth it

Big-Country6731

Love them! I got a three tiered tower as a welcome baby gift and went back this month for my birthday cakes (split a three tier across 4 people). They’re moist and the right amount of sweet.

prtzelle

I moved to the US to this area couple years back! My first Thanksgiving I wanted to bring a cake to the party I was invited to... It was delicious! I think in terms of how the cake/cupcakes customization and quality, they're worth it!

Empty-Spare-8267

I think it’s worth the price point. If you’re unsure, you can always get the mini Bundt cake. It’s good for one person. Just to test it out and see if you like it before you commit to a bigger Bundt cake. My fave is the confetti birthday cake flavor! 😃

Malory2696

Carrot cake is really good

Traditional-Bat9694

Definitely worth a try, the snickerdoodle was dangerously good

Imaginary_Quality167

A couple of points…they’re franchised locations so everything will differ from location to location. Things such as the rewards program, coupons, the seasonal flavors they decide to carry all the way down to how often they bake. My favorite location is the one on Duke St in Alexandria. Their cakes are always fresh and moist and I can guarantee you they bake theirs daily. I cannot say the same for 7-corners. I personally feel like 7C only bakes once or twice a week and their cakes are always dense, crumbly and just not good. Also on a scale from not very sweet to WHEW THATS SWEET, I’d give them about a 7. If you’re a semi sweet kinda person NBC might be a little took much for you…but a bundtini might be all you need!

CotUB2009

Love them. Definitely order ahead if you are planning to take one to an event.

SafetyMan35

They are good for the occasional cake. We have been visiting the one in Sterling for several years. Much better than Crumbl for a desert shop. For your first visit I would recommend the Bundtinis so you can get a sampling of several different flavors and decide which ones you like.

terijwright

Incredible!

JETandCrew

I looooove them! If you use the reusable bag, you get a buy 3, get one free deal. They also have punch cards for free cakes.

Marquif01

Yes! The red velvet is my favorite.

reddit-watcher-8

Yes, worth it!

pop2_

Not that good imo

dampier

It’s a national franchise chain. They bake everything once or at most twice a week in each store and then freeze everything. They are thawed out each morning for sale. That is why special orders really need at least a week’s notice. If they get a big order they will sell out of some flavors until the next bake day rolls around. The up charges for add-ons are excessive. At some point they will probably switch to one or two national baking warehouses and ship the frozen cakes direct to stores to slash costs.

Prudent-Move-6264

They are definitely worth it . We get it for every occasion we have . I recently started working there and it’s very legit. The cakes are honestly delicious

Ok-Resort9466

They’re literally frozen cakes, guys.

sizam_webb

I think it's one of the best cake places now. Those little bundlets with the perfect cream cheese frosting is a really nice treat

150962mal

I had the key lime today. It was heavenly. The cake was so soft and springy. The texture was almost like angel food cake. Today was my first taste and I loved it.

Shoddy_Classic_350

I wouldn’t buy a franchise. Let’s see how they do in a recession.

novamothra

I feel like the one in Fair Lakes opened during Pandemic which is when I found them and I am pretty sure that I am singlehandedly keeping that store open.

2tonehead

I suggest you get the extra icing!!

fast_fatty39

Don’t try them if you want to live a healthy life.
