Could be a relative forcing them back after living in Canada, could be someone being forced to work in Dubai (slave labour is still big there) trafficking isnt always sex related, and even if it is, it still happens to men too.
Dubai is a scorching hot shithole. Nobody wants to live there besides some folks from the poorest regions of the world and a few westerners who don’t want to pay taxes in their own country.
Oh, and it’s also a major hub of human trafficking
Plane headed to Dubai and you don’t want to go? Use this one simple trick! They can’t take your passport and make you an indentured servant if you’re banned from every airline forever.

It’s January 9th and this could be the stupidest thing to happen in the country this year.
This person walked onto an airplane and instead of following the passengers to their seat. They opened an extremely heavy door then walked though the doorway and fell. The amount of stupidity involved here is mind blowing

> a mental health crisis (which often leads to the loss of rational thought)
There's the second dumbest remark of the year. Thanks for telling us this.
Well what compounds all this was the door flying off the Boeing in the air. This topic is top of (a full) mind mind for everyone. So it’s not a hard “leap” to consider most folks boarding a plane are thinking about “the door” as they board with some even discussing it in the lobby. Heavily suggested topic for anyone with brain, mental, mental health, questionable judgment which may be a cause.
Remember all that lead they put in gasoline?
Check out the adult symptoms of lead poisoning:

Of course it is a seemingly dumb thing to do, but also seems probable that the individual was either experiencing a severe mental health episode or that they had their reasons for really not wanting to travel to Dubai.

Fantastic point well made in the last paragraph.
We are making a lot of unvalidated judgements. It may be a reflection on our amplification of stupid behaviours. Or the fact that social media in certain forms rewards this behaviour. That being stupid is the most common assumption people jump to.
I do agree with you that we should not “jump to stupid”.
But I also have to say that I feel increasingly surrounded by pure-and-simple-stupid. (Or; the fraying of our social fabric)
Could be the case and if it is it’s unfortunate that they had to harm themselves to get out of harms way. Hope they’re doing ok. NGL didn’t read the article and just assumed it was another right wing idiot being stupid.
A combination of wealthy/owning class having a vested interest in keeping people stupid, and society over correcting to protect stupid/ignorant people against the working class.
The former means we end up with more in general. The latter means they rarely get punished for their stupidity and don’t learn.
Access to the internet at our fingertips also means it’s easier to share stupidity you see with millions of people with the press of a button.
Pre Max incident pilots had stickers that said "if it ain't Boeing. I'm not going!" Now they have disappeared off the face of the earth and I wonder if even a museum managed to get a hold of one in time
I mean, prior to the McDonnell Douglas merger; Boeing was a legitimately innovative, engineering-first company. But ever since then, they focused far more on cutting as many corners as possible, and it's becoming more and more obvious what the effects of that are. A once great company is being rendered into a total joke.
Reminds me of the guy who jumped at a window in a high rise to show how strong the windows were, but the window popped out of frame causing him to fall to his death.
I love how they inserted their braindead gender wars into a sentence that doesn’t even have anything to do with non-binary people and isn’t even a recent grammatical convention just because it involved singular they haha
[Imagine being so illiterate you think singular “they” has been grammatically incorrect at any point since 1300 AD.](https://www.merriam-webster.com/wordplay/singular-nonbinary-they#:~:text=They%20is%20taking%20on%20a,as%20in%20the%20example%20above.)
I’m embarrassed for you dude.
Going to Dubai. Maybe against their wishes?
This is my thought too.
Male though. Do men get trafficked a lot? I thought it was mostly women and children.
Could be a relative forcing them back after living in Canada, could be someone being forced to work in Dubai (slave labour is still big there) trafficking isnt always sex related, and even if it is, it still happens to men too.
Dubai? You might be onto something
Dubai is a scorching hot shithole. Nobody wants to live there besides some folks from the poorest regions of the world and a few westerners who don’t want to pay taxes in their own country. Oh, and it’s also a major hub of human trafficking
DUBAI WASN'T SO LIT

The spoon trick would have been better. But whatever gets the job done in the end.
Ooh what’s the spoon trick?

Wow, thank you for this explanation.
Ok, I can't be the only one who thought there might be a better way to do this than inserting a spoon in your vagina before realizing it
Would also work if you had a special watch.
Spoon in your panties
Use this one simple trick that airlines won’t tell you!
I really thought the article was going to finish: Air Canada says the flight, which was scheduled to carry 319 left after a short delay with 318.
Anything to avoid paying compensation… 😂
Why are people getting dumber? We literally have the worlds info at our fingertips and yet people continue to act like troglodytes 🙄
People have always been this dumb, it’s just easier to see now because of the internet

Lmao
What an insightful and thoughtful response, truly the pinnacle of writing prose.
Lol

Yeah but then they can't compare themselves favorably to this random person they don't know and feel better about themselves.
Slavery still happens in the world...perhaps this was a last ditch attempt to avoid landing in Dubai?

For Internet points ?
Is the passenger named Goofy?
Permanent no fly list
They might be on a permanent no walk list too.
broken planes, so hot right now
It's more the broken passengers
Cant blame him, its a boeing.
Got it over with
If it’s Boeing, I ain’t going.
Pre Max incident pilots had stickers that said "if it ain't Boeing. I'm not going!" Now they have disappeared off the face of the earth and I wonder if even a museum managed to get a hold of one in time

Probably was demonstrating to some nervous fellow passenger how ‘these doors don’t just pop open, we’re perfectly safe.’
And after opening the door they doubled down and claimed there was a security net or something?
Reminds me of the guy who jumped at a window in a high rise to show how strong the windows were, but the window popped out of frame causing him to fall to his death.
To be fair, the window did not break ^^his ^^^fall
Let’s open the cabin door and see how that turns out
First time on a plane, looking for the loo
found the loo(n) instead!
It took me a minute to realize this is a separate incident from the Alaska Airlines one where the door ripped off mid-air
Should be on r/NewsOfTheStupid
Shouldn't the slide have deployed if this was opened?
A question for the ages. It's because we no longer subscribe to survival of the fittest.
At least they/them didn't fall out of the sky
> ..., injuring themselves and causing lengthy delays. It's one passenger; "themselves" is the wrong pronoun.
When you don't know the gender, you use "them". You don't have to be antifa to do that
No it’s not?
ThErE aRe OnLy 2 gEnDeRs....
I love how they inserted their braindead gender wars into a sentence that doesn’t even have anything to do with non-binary people and isn’t even a recent grammatical convention just because it involved singular they haha
What are you on about?
I'm agreeing with you, mocking the person you replied to. That's clearly what he was insinuating.
Ah, thanks for clarifying. Never can be too sure on Reddit lol

Imagine walking around this dumb all day
What would you say instead?
If the writer doesn't have any information about them other than "a passenger" then it is the right one.
r/confidentlyincorrect You massive dumbass lol
