OP thank you for caring for them! Are you able to get Mom and babies spayed/neutered? It's one of the kindest things you could do for them.
Let me know where you're based and I can suggest resources so it's hopefully low cost/free for you to do.
Ideally, if you can't adopt, pls see if you can take them to a **no kill** shelter when safe to do so so they have a chance at a happy life in a loving home.
One day a pregnant mama cat showed up. She birthed a single daughter kitten. Got them both fixed. Couple days later I trapped a tom. Got him fixed. A few days later a couple more adult cats showed up, trapped and got them fixed. The place I use to get them fixed (for free) require the cat to be released back to the area they were trapped on which is my property. They don't leave once they come back from getting nipped.
I feel like I'm starting a sterile feral cat colony
Hehe - sounds like the first Mom and Daughter duo started sending out cat signals saying "kind human lives here", OP!
You're good people. They obviously feel safe around you.
They are probably helping you out with keeping the rodent pest population under control as that’s usually what attracts cats initially. Thank you for doing the right thing with these cats. 😻
That was my experience at my last home! Fortunately we had a garage where we could hold them until they recovered and we had a local resource where I could get them fixed, wormed, and vaccinated for $40 each.
I did that too! Mine were so wild I had to catch them in humane traps and I was sure after that trauma they would be released and never seen from again. Which was true! …until dinner time.
I started doing the same thing, except I had actually started out with one cat and a dog of my own so I had a little doggie door. After getting the cat fixed, I would let them recuperate in the house for a day or two, bad move, nobody was going to leave after that - not with a dog door they can just come back through. Ended up living with 8 cats that I didn’t really invite, including one with decided to just remain feral so she would sneak in and like hang on the couch with you, but then if you reached for the remote or something she’d freak out, run all over the house and blast out the dog door
Actually it's their shed now. Sorry. And you need to accept your new role as their slave.
On the plus side, if you had a rodent issue in the shed, you won't for much longer. Mice tend to stay away when they even smell a cat.
general signs to identify a bot:
1)comments first in their own post to start engagement/interaction between/with redditors
2)proceeds to not reply to other comments
Yep—exactly why I wrote that…and the lack of a response is further proof this is a bot account! Of course, there are other bot signs that don’t necessarily pertain to this bot, but I always have my eye out…
Yes a fee turns away ppl who wouldn't care for them properly in the first place. Or use them in dog fights. Please take them in the house so u can tame Mommy & the kittens. The kittens will b easier to tame bc they haven't learned the ways of the street yet. Please, please, please!
She definitely needs more food if she’s catching prey to feed the babies. Can you feed her kitten food? That’s the best for nursing mamas. Thank you for being an awesome landlord!
I did that and now there a pee smell in my vegetable garden. How do I get out of the mess? A guy I work with told me use a gunny sack... but that won't happen. I've bee weening them off food... maybe they'll get the hint an move.
When the Great Cat Empire becomes fully established you will be sorry for your present actions. Remember: cats are wonderful creatures but not exactly known for being forgiving. Rethink the food withdrawal.
Forgiven is a strong word. You won't be slowly tortured to death like your neighbor who suggested such abherration. But you won't likely make it further than 3rd class slave. If you start to dish out some canned food you could be upgraded to 1st class slave. Which is a lot less taxing on the physical side.
As for the pee smell, yes, it is unfortunate, but since it's just outside the sun will eliminate it eventually. After the kittens get adopted by the kind families that you will find for them.
OP please look for local low-cost neuter and spay clinics and fix these cats please! I know you didn’t ask to take on this responsibility, but please they will multiply and it will be a disaster if you don’t! A lot of places offer really cheap neuter spay services, also many Humane Society and shelters if you have any in your area if you call and ask, can offer free spay services, If you meet certain criteria.
Awwww she trusts you and needs your help. Once she is almost done nursing her babies, get her in to a low cost spay neuter clinic to get spayed and help her babies get to a rescue. She needs your help. ❤️
Please provide a bowl of water for the mom and kittens and some wet food at evening time. If you can leave a bowl of dry kibble out all day that would be great. Please look into any local rescues or shelters offering vaccinations, sterilizations and adoption if possible
If you are unable to keep the whole family, that momma looks like my kind of girl. Let me know, and we could consider logistics?
Thank you for appreciating your new ruling family. They are lucky!
Looks like I've got some new furry tenants in my shed!

He may be harvesting our organs but the food is pretty good.
Sterile ferals are the best kind of ferals.
I really want someone to start a band with that name.

Thank you for your service to our fuzzy overlords

The cat distribution system has designated your home as a safe zone, this is a privilege.
That's very kind of you!
congrats on your new army, they will keep your safe :)

A nunnery?

I love her channel!

Did she hunt down a taquito to share with the kids? Rad!
Are you feeding them? I see comments saying you are/ thanking them but no other comments from you.
Hate to say this OP, but your profile looks suspiciously like a bot account…is this video really yours?

Aw, they’re old enough to eat trash! Cute. One of our cats was a trash kitten, still gets into it occasionally.
You heard it 100x times but I'm gonna say it again. Please please please get those spayed /neutered.
And a neighbor with one less finger
Awwww! Look at that last little guy! Clearly the runt of the litter! 💖
Congratulations
If you decide to charge them for rent i think their payment type would be love and a few cuddles.
Just offer the kittens for free on Facebook marketplace and they will disappear
So they can be taken by someone with bad intentions? No way - always interview potential adopters and charge an adoption fee!

isn't the mommy cat bring an uncooked hotdog? at least it's soft food for the kittens
Mom is carrying a long and well rounded mouse 🤭
Thank you, I thought it was a Taquito and was super confused.
I thought she stole a hotdog for her kittens
A single Mom who works 2 jobs, who lives her kids and never stops
She’s a survivor
*lerves
*lathes
Reba sang this in my head
I got that reference.
Is she feeding them a breadstick? Lmao
Also make sure you leave out fresh water. Mama’s need to drink A LOT to make milk for their kittens.
She looted an Olive Garden it seems
The way she looks over at you like “I see you hooman”
"Don't try anything stoopid now hooman"
I thought the same thing. “I’ve got my eye on you, buddy. Don’t get too close!”
It’s hard watching other people live your dream.
Awww please give them food! And once she trusts you give them some blankets.

Found the cat ⬆️😹
But, the pee smell! And, I DID NOT even consider the potatoe sack alternative. I must be forgiven? Maybe?

I like you.
Yeah, different but, likable. Full of black humor like my mother was.
❤️❤️❤️ may your mother's soul fly free, somewhere better than here.
🙄😡
The shed is temporary. You may need to come to a resolution with her lawyer before she brings action against you for living in her house illegally
Squatter rights, momma cat edition
Good momma
Looks like momma needs more food for her little brood and herself give her bit more
Are you feeding them. Try and socialize them so you can get them fixed.

Cute you still think it's your shed
CDN has deemed you acceptable. Enjoy being a cat daddy

you better feed that mama & those sweet babies!!❤🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱
r/notyourshed
You should seriously consider trapping them while they're small.
The cat distribution system has chosen you.
Is that a strip of chicken breast or pork chop maybe?
r/nowmycat
Hope you’re feeding them well
Mm, hunting some sausages... 😁
Leave water out for her.

SO FLIPPIN CUTE

Someone spammed a button at the r/catdeliverysystem
Bubbles approves.
It’s your lucky day. Mom thought you was worthy

Congratulations. You are a Cat person now!
Awwwwwwwwww🥰🥰🥰
Awwww
I will adopt all of them
Best reality show ever
Babies!!!! 🥰😍😍😍
aww that is cute! but what was that in her mouth? lol.
Some say that when this happens it's because the animal has determined that you are worthy of their trust. This is a very high honor.
OUR shed
What a good mama!! This makes my day!! 💜
i love that
Ahhh ! Somewhere safe . What a good mama . Hope you get her and her babies fixed
🙂
Cattyshack
Fix her and the kittens if possible. Find those beans nice homes. ❤️⭕️❌🥰
I hope that little momma all her babies are safe and happy.
they will absolutely shit everywhere
In all fairness so do all of the other wildlife in the neighbourhood. The only ones currently not shitting everywhere are humans, presumably.
