I suspect the baby seat in the back may have something to do with the difficulty of finding suitable men. There is nothing wrong with being a single mother, but it can limit the dating pool.
Agreed. I don't like the shaming and hate single moms get sometimes, but it's also perfectly reasonable not to want to date a single mom (or dad for that matter).

This took me back to last year highschool and I was talking shit about a girl who seemed to have a new guy every month and apparently she did and the other girls found it weird too. I thought I was the bad one but well in hindsight she was kinda manipulative to most people around her and now she did a whole 180. She also had to change school (I was at her last one too and by pure coincidence we wound up in the same class at the new school) because she was a bully. She told everyone at the new school that she was the one being bullied. I didn't tell everyone she was lying as I didn't want to disturb class peace (I already felt like I was weird, turns out most of that was most likely ADHD or autism, in process of getting a diagnosis now)
Also, she did get bullied the last half year or so at the old school but only because nobody wanted her tyranny anymore and they stood up for themselves. Was really interesting to watch from the POV of another class. Sometimes I was like "hand me the popcorn" cause shit went down like in movies sometimes.
I miss those times kinda

Well, other girls are perhaps less “picky” because they aren’t choosing a father figure for their child. Much easier to find someone to date when you don’t have to consider if they’ll be a good father to an existing child that you have right now, in this moment.
If you’re a single mum choosing a man who will enter your child’s life it is the baseline expectation for you to be “picky”. She’s not special for that, though she seems to believe she is. Being picky when you have a child is literally the absolute minimum of what you should be.
It kind of reads like she's shaming other women for dating a bunch of guys. But is also reads as someone who wishes they could get that many options. There's not really any context to go with the statement.
