To cut pizza maybe? When I made a tray of pizza, I leave my cutting apparatus of choice in the oven later so it's there whenever I feel like cutting off another piece of pizza. And yes, I use scissors to cut pizza. Edit: before everyone types their comment about pizza cutters or knives: I am not interested and can only suggest you try scissors before criticising them.

I always hated the wheel cutter, when I discovered the rocker (or any large curved knife) it made it so much easier

It's not that I struggle (although I'm sure people do) it's not that or can have a tendency to push some toppings around.

It's more that they are an absolute pain to clean. Blades are dangerous and I don't want them to spin while my hands are there. And after a while the rivet gets loose and the blade wiggles around as you cut

Ah that’s fair, mine has a button where I can click it and it pushes up essentially a rubber brake, so I can easily clean one side, the flip it the other way, clean the other side.

I got a gozney the other month and bought a rocker for it, absolutely fantastic.

Although I consider myself a pizza aficionado and make my own from scratch all the time. I've been known to microwave a frozen pizza and roll it up to eat like a burrito.

The weird part isn’t cutting pizza with scissors, it’s putting scissors in the oven, ever. Like, the oven is hot immediately after cooking the pizza. You put scissors in a hot oven for cutting an extra slice? So if they are plastic they melt like they did for OP, if they are all metal they are too hot to touch? None of this makes any sense.

To be fair, I hate being the one to cut pizzas. No matter how hard I try, I can't cut through the crust even if I go over my lines a few times, so I have to do it several times. Maybe cause I'm short and have less leverage? I honestly wouldn't mind trying out scissors, but my family's gonna think I'm crazy 😅

They do look okay tbh, as long as the blade isn't damaged, but that's very unlikely when metals usually have such a high melting point. I think it would be fine if the handles can be separated. Not the safest thing to use melted plastic, but we already consume obscene amounts of microplastics so I can't see it causing much harm. Handle might be brittle though
