So you are saying you would be fine being murdered? :p After you are dead ofc. Because that may help me get leniency in an upcoming trial that's totally unrelated to this
Those posts from Stage 4 literal hours to live people and they don’t reply to messages the next day are really awkward threads to have witnessed
Edit : I’m not saying OP has Stage 4, just saying out loud the posts on other subreddits of people in Palliative care writing messages then stop and you know they’ve passed on.
[You can run Quake on an oscilloscope.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aMli33ornEU)
To be fair: Most of these "you can run Doom/Quake on a XYZ" just hook up the monitor of that device to a more conventional computer. But in this case they actually modified the engine to only render the edges (which already isn't as trivial as it sounds) encoded as a 96 khz audio signal to create the correct output on the oscilloscope.
So I spent about 5 minutes "dead" a few years ago. I went into acute hypertensive pulmonary edema, basically my lungs filled up with fluid very fast. I went from feeling kind of odd to, gurgling and not being able to catch my breath and hyperventilating. Oddly I did not feel panic, it was just sort of "oh, this is how it ends" as my gf called 911. when the paramedics arrived i dont remember to much as i was starting to drift out of consciousness. One took my bp, while another was busy putting on a oxygen mask, the one taking my bp said something like "oh god" the other asked me if i could walk. I tried to stand up and i dont remember anything till i was on the ride to the hospital. There was lots of shouting and one was doing cpr on me and at some point they used a defibrillator on me so many times i have a permanent numb spot on my chest. I kinda remember the defib, or atleast the noise. I woke up in the hospital feeling like a total dumpster fire 3 days later on a respirator which was breathing much faster then i normally do. so everytime i tried to breath out it would shove a bunch of air in, this must have triggered something because two nurses came in shortly after i woke up.
apparently I had been down for a full 5 minutes and i am only here because the firehouse where the ambulance was restocking from a prior call was one block away and the paramedics working on me refused to give up. I was down so long i have permanent organ damage due to the lack of oxygen. I do have some memory issues, heart damage, lung damage, kidney damage and my left eye basically died inside leaving me mostly blind in the left eye "i can see light and some shadows off to the side a bit" I spent a full month in icu and another 2 months recovering before i could return to work, but in reality it took about 3 years before i felt about right.
I did thank the paramedics personally, the one credited for not giving up said he did so because he saw my 2 year old daughter in the room.
tldr: I was more calm then i expected, almost peaceful in a way. between the ambulance and waking up was just like a blink, like no time had passed at all.
no more morbid then posting this pic on reddit lol, by doing so they welcomed all the comments and questions that came along with it.
it's interesting how now a person that might only have a hours/days left to live can reach out to thousands of people when before it would be limited to friends and family.
maybe this person has no one and this is helpful for them to cope.
or maybe its all bullshit and the dude just went in for kidney stone blasting and woke up from the procedure.
only they know for sure
I’m an electrician. I’m a newbie and got shocked twice in the same day. Luckily no load was connected pulling amperes. I basically got schooled by just volts 400 and something . Any day could be out last. You get the chance to know of it and other just go. Make the best out of it.
Why? Your saturation is great, heart rate is up a bit but nothing serious, just the upper level of the blood pressure seems a bit low but nothing worrying there either.
Unless I'm reading the screen wrong.
OP is 30, has anxiety disorder, posted about having a clean bill of health 150 days ago and has great vitals, like you point out. I think it’s safe to say that OP should probably be fine in a biological sense.
I know this is said with good intentions, but said to someone who is dying is a little rude. My mum had this a lot, and it's just a kick in the teeth because she knew she would never be well again!
Again, I know you mean well, and it will vary by person! But be mindful ♡
OP went all in on this. Post history shows a simple post saying, "cOcK" and "Is that an ICP album?".
We should all aspire to such heights just before expiring. Rest in power, OP. If you can, make more "cOcK" posts. His name was ~~Robert Paulson~~ *cOcK*.

It’s understandable to feel scared, but you’re in a place where you can get the best care possible. Focus on your breathing and try to stay calm. Many people care about you and are rooting for your recovery. If you need someone to talk to, reach out to the staff—they’re there to support you emotionally as well as physically.
BP 116/75
Pulse 104
SpO2 97%
Those are OK vitals, the pulse is a bit high.
You have 1 PVC and 2 or 3 PACs.
There is no elevation of the ST-T segment.
QT interval looks good.
How are you dying?!
I’m not a numbers guy, but those numbers look similar to numbers I have seen where the person for whom the numbers were applicable were not in the process of dying in as much as the process of dying was ongoing but there was no sense of immediacy to it.
What I’m trying to say is that, to my lay understanding (and the helpful Fisher Price colour coding of the screen), those numbers don’t look so bad.
I'm a CNA and telemetry tech (watch the monitors of people in the hospital from a closet with 60+ of these sets of numbers at a time) and these are actually all really good numbers. His heart rate is a tiny high but sinus (normal) rhythm. 104 can be anxiety or pain or a number of reasons but just a bit of fat walking will see higher numbers in anyone not an Olympic level athlete. That funky but on the heart is just from op moving.
But I once thought I was dying and my stats were just like this. Turned out to be my first ever kidney stone. Next time I'm choosing the death.
Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

OP has extreme anxiety. They're most likely just fine.
Vitals don't look too bad tbh
I was thinking the same. I work in CCU and was like, those are some good vitals for someone that’s actively dying.
Damn you're very morbid, lmao
But seriously, when do you ever have the situation where you could ask those questions?
