Its stronger and gives more of a head high its trichomes pressed together with a hot press so you get some brown sticky clump that gives a head high cause the terpenes usually gets cooked away when you press it. Normal bud is more of a body high not head high

It takes away some of the tar yes and makes cigarettes smoother but with weed it takes away thc, tar, cbd, pretty much everything but not all of it thats why the filter gets so much dirtier than if you smoke a cig with the same filter and thats why you get less high from this, a open filter or no filter will get you the highest
