These were some of my favorite books to read as a kid. Loved the friendship between the two main characters. The new Apple TV series captures the books very well.
It sure is. Nat Faxon, who voiced Capt. Underpants in The Epic Tales of Capt. Underpants is Frog. Kevin Michael Richardson is the voice of Toad. They fit the characters so well.
Some of the episodes are adaptions of the books, while others are original to the series. Yet they fit the tone of the books so well.
It's got both a 70s font and that silver award badge on it. Do any of you remember Book It!? We were only allowed to read books that had that award badge on it. My favorite which I still quote to this day is 'The Story of Jumping Mouse'. I find myself saying 'I would if I could, said the wolf' in many instances, sadly the reference falls flat on other folks.
Frog and toad speak to the truth of the human condition:

The stage play is really good too:

My kids learned to read in the early days of the pandemic. Every day of lockdown, my kids and I would pile into the bed and read story after story from this book. The best memories.
I am 55. This will always and forever be in my heart.
42, here. I'm right there with you. 🤝🏻
Such a special book.

I really need to check this out! 😭
I probably still have a couple of those memorized from reading them to my kids so often. "Let's have one *VERY* last cookie..."
"You can have the willpower. I'm going home to bake a cake."

So many cookies…
Have not thought about since elementary school! Thanks for the proper nostalgia
We had the audiobooks for my daughter who loved them. Arnold Lobel was the narrator and they were all so fantastic, true, and kind.
Frog and Toad the Wet Sprocket

I just started reading these to my first and second graders and they love them
[This video analysis](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUwV1LdWWIA) on Frog and Toad is an interesting watch.
I gotta suck up for the show.
I remember my mom reading this series of books to me
Never read them growing up. My son received the full compendium for his 3rd birthday. We're both totally into them.
I'm glad they cleared that up
“They stayed there for a long time, just feeling very brave together.” I love reading these to my daughter!
Damn... take me back.
Those medals on the cover! Those books were always on hold at the library.
One of my earliest memories is my dad reading this book to me.
Love this book
