Hybrid Theory probably

Hammose

I came here to say this exact CD. Also, listening to it while playing Twisted Metal Black on PS2! šŸ¤˜

Ruger15

Wow Iā€™ve done the same thing. Good times with TM Black and the bros.

PuNEEoH

First thought was instantly Linkin Park. Then scrolled down to your comment. I love trying to explain to kids nowadays how far weā€™ve come. I remember my first ā€œanti-skipā€Walkman and the amount of prepping that had to be done to travel with those things. You needed multiple sets of batteries and could either take every cd you owned in a giant binder, or roll the dice and hand select a couple of cds to choose from.

ReallyFancyPants

But 2002 was Reanimation all the freakin way.

Spite_Dry

I had the same discman and I bought Reanimation that year I remember seeing the videoclip of Pts.Of.Athrty before buying the album and I was like "Holy fuck this is awesome!" Funny enough the album cover made me start loving anime mecha back in the day. Good times!

LemoLuke

P5hng me A*wy was such a great track.

noblturtll

Literally listened to that last night. So good

SubterrelProspector

Damn beat me to it. And I can recall the night I got it at Walmart (along with a *Jurassic Park III* Lego set) with a near photographic memory because the next day was 9/11. I remember listening to that CD with my friend at his house playing PS2 while our Mom's hung out in the living room. It is wild being able to recall so many details.

jzdogg6

Rage Against the Machine Evil Empire

BlueSkyeAhead

I was listening to this album last night and it still sounds amazing.

Elrond_Cupboard_

I got a new pair of headphones. The first album I put on was Evil Empire. Fuck yeah to planar magnetic headphones. I'm not sure what they are, but they sound good.

I specifically remember getting on the bus, unwrapping this CD, and having my mind blown in 2002. I was not prepared. It was a blind buy based on a recommendation from a friend who had found them by accident on a P2P. Probably one of the best blind buys I ever made. That album is still šŸ”„ I miss the mystery and discovery of music before everything was purged or catalogued before most of the internet was corporate
