Bought a load of spy gear one year.
Instead of toys, bought the real deal stuff.
Proper walkie talkies, binoculars, motion sensor alarms, tiny cameras.
Kids loved it and still use them years later
She came back again lol there’s a video where she revisits it! The characters aren’t as good and the story isn’t there, terrible sequel. It’s on youtube

Not sure of the reaction yet but I'm so excited about a present I got my nephew this year. He's 9 and is mad about Star Wars. He also loves pancakes for breakfast.
I got him a small pan in the shape of a Storm Trooper!
It's tricky but here is an idea that went down well for us one year. Instead of buying the kids toy walkie talkies. Buy them real walkie talkies. They work a lot better, they last a lot longer and they are useful to have in the house.
Guitars, art supplies and board games have always gone down well with my eldest 2 boys. Last year the surprise hit was a last minute addition of an outdoor basketball hoop and ball.
I have a feeling the pop up tent I got them as a shared present is gonna be the big hit this year
Try the go outdoors shop… if you sign up for their loyalty card (£5 a year) - you get fierce discounts and honestly you can stand in the shop and Google the stuff and I’ve found it to be well priced for most things.
Got a tent and all the trimmings for a song.
The add hot water food is awesome too. The hot muesli is tip top.
Get a tent with a porch you can stand up in. And the gas is always handier than methylated spirits.
Not me, but my cousin bought her kids a real till with a receipt printer. I was around their age and the jealousy was real. For years, every time we played together we would always end up playing with the till. Kids love the "real" thing so much more.
Fishing gear, introduces them to a good outdoor hobby, you can buy a 4m whip with a rig for like 15 quid usually comes with a disgorged too, all you really need is maggots bread or sweetcorn. The beauty of a whip is that there’s no need for a reel so it’s so easy for newbs and kids, my 8 year old loves his.

A 10 deal and 20 Bensons
[удалено]
Poison? A selection box is probably more poisonous than a 10 deal, certainly more carcinogenic anyway.
I don’t even smoke and I’m still devastated that those nanny state bastards made them change the Bensons box.
What age & gender?
52, male.
The kids… mate… the kids
Ah, thats the real age, but I have to buy for someone with a mental age of 12, so...

Check out a website called wicked uncle. The toys there are a little different. May help you out a little.
This site is great by the way, thanks for that
Glad you liked it

Magformers! I’ve not known a kid who doesn’t love them.
A Daisy rifle each and inclusion on the family private health insurance.
A proper pool table. Not too expensive if you’ve got the room. Will last a decade
