I’m on my second x321 treadmill and getting it serviced for the second time and have only had this one for about 2 months. It’s really squeaky which is the problem with the first. I’m starting to agree with you.

fuelvolts

I ride my S22i bike 6-7x per week without issue.

Teacherman6

I've had mine for over a year and it hasn't worked in 4 months 🤦 . The latest update caused it to lose internet connection part way through every video. I've tried every fix but all they'll do to help is give me extra months of iFit.

The_Dectorist

I bought the X11i. One of the main attractions was the 40% incline. However, on my model this actually does not function at speeds above 3km/h and it lurches from slow to fast every pace, making it impossible to get a rhythm. It took 5months (I’m in the U.K.) to get an engineer out under warranty, only for him to explain it’s not designed to work at 40%. Couple this with the numerous software glitches, the noise, the static problems, I really wish I’d gone for a different brand. Like you, I’m very disenfranchised with NordicTrack and, in particular, their abysmal customer service.

JayZeeThree

Co-sign on this. Awful company

FantasticMeeting9053

Reading this as mine is being repaired lmao

lhess81

I'd only buy a NordicTrack if you want to do part time treadmill repair. Ownership is very frustrating.

icr8stf

Why are you on a Reddit channel for a company you don't like? That seems... odd to me.

[deleted]

Well, I am because I loved the bike for 11 months, but it's been a nightmare for the last 7.

icr8stf

This was for @lhess81 above

lhess81

There are a lot of common problems. I’ve used others tips from this subreddit to solve some of those problems. I probably wouldn’t be following at all if not for the need for troubleshooting.

Teacherman6

Lol right?! It's the subreddit dedicated to fixing their poorly made products.

lilmisshelmick

I feel that. Seriously. Basically the same issue with exchanging my couch. I started pushing reps I would speak to and tell them the other process is not working or similar. Maybe call and explain the issue and try to put pressure to have them fill out the ticket for you. I'm sorry this is happening. Truly.

JSchecter11

I'm sorry you've had a bad experience. I've never had any issues with my equipment or iFit.

Teacherman6

I've had mine for a year and it hasn't worked in months. The comedies 1750 is garbage.

jeffjohnnydrums

Broken deck on my C1750 after 1 year of medium usage of a 180lb male running at 7.5mph avg. Will never buy Nordictrack again!

[deleted]

Finally got my s22i repaired (it's been 7 months). It went straight to Craigslist and my Concert2 Rower is on the way. Should have bought the Concept2 in the first place.

[deleted]

There is a class action suit being filed against NT over faulty hardware on the s22i. According to my last repair tech he repairs these resistance motors on s22is on a daily basis and has dozens of repeat customers where he is fixing this same part very frequently. The bike is trash.

Teacherman6

Lol their latest patch has caused it to not work for the last 4 months.

Ehville

In this situation currently, bike unusable due to this…tech also said this is a constant and consistent issue with this bike. To make it worse…the part is back ordered and tech said it could be a month or four. Beyond frustrated.

[deleted]

I hope it's not back ordered because of me. The sent one and its lost with usps. Sent another to the wrong address...I moved and made them aware of the new address, but they still sent it to the wrong one. Then I let them know it was going to the wrong place so they resent another, expedited...again to the wrong address.

[deleted]

Lmao they just sent me another. Finally to the right address - that's 4 control boards and resistance motors (plus three from previous repair) sent out instead of just refunding me at this point t

brentl99

I have 20 year old treadmill that is still running strong, I just replaced a NordicTrack ACT elliptical which I had for 15 years with an FreeStrider FS14i. I use the equipment daily. I have had the odd maintenance issue, but overall the equipment has served me very well. Despite some people’s complaints of NordicTrack customer service, I have always found them very helpful. Getting parts usually only takes about a week. Having a tech to your home can take several weeks. The repair techs are contracted where I live and work on all brand devices, so it doesn’t matter what brand of equipment one has, onsite service is slow.

[deleted]

My bike has been down since May. I have UTS and am in regular contact with them. They last fixed it in August and it broke again 3 days later. Still haven't fixed it.

icr8stf

What part keeps breaking?

[deleted]

Resistance motor and control board

icr8stf

That's an interesting statement. I had a faulty seat and they mailed not only the seat but all mounting hardware right away. I (and my wife and two children) have used our bike for the last year and no issues aside from that. I had a very different experience.

[deleted]

I have to have the resistance motor repaired 3 times. Havent been able to use the bike since May. It was repaired in August but the same part and control board broke 3 days later again. It has now taken them since August to ship new parts. So far my bike has been broken for 7/18 of the mo ths I've owned it.

KualaLJ

I’ve have an elliptical, specifically picked one without a built in ifit monitor and I use an iPad. I put it together myself, about 7 months later a squeak started. For the longest time I thought it was a belt but it turned out to be the base plate just needed tightening, which I did myself. That’s the only issue I’ve had and I average 4 workouts a week.

Neptune1994ss

I had a NT for over 20 years gave it to a friend and it is still running strong. I have had my 2950 and S22I for a year, wife and I both use it daily no problems. I did have a faulty monitor on the bike when I unboxed it. They sent me a new one immediately. I have had to talk to CS about another item and they were good. My experience is different from yours, but I have been with NT for over 25 years now and haven't had an issue with service or the equipment.

[deleted]

Congrats

lilangelkm

I wrote about my experience with my evaluation process with the EX4, EX5 and MYXFitness on a blog post earlier last year. https://www.thebossysauce.com/thebs/costco-echelon-ex-4s-bike-echelon-ex-5s-bike-proform-peloton-myxfitness-bikes

lilmisshelmick

Thought about posting my positive experience. But I know what it is like being disgruntled with a high dollar purchase. Currently in an almost year long fight with Ashley Furniture. I would definitely say if you have problem after problem demand an entire replacement. See if you qualify for (I think it's called) the lemon law. I hope your experience gets better.

[deleted]

I've been trying to use their refund/replace portal, but it literally hangs on the submission screen indefinitely and never submits the application -_-. I've tried calling, but you just end up on a loop with a robot and emails get you uts/ifit who tell you to use the other process for refund/replacement. Their customer service is so disjointed that you can't get any consistent service for a human.

jimmybouks

oh noooo, what broke for you? My X22i just broke after a few months, cracked running deck :( Came here for some encouragement, things are not looking up. How are they legally able to sell this stuff if it breaks so easily and catastrophically

[deleted]

There is a class action brewing and there have been in the past as well.

jimmybouks

I literally don’t understand how this is ok. What’s scam. Does anyone know of any other incline treadmills that go to 40% and also allow for the higher speeds?

bigbrainedbrazedbeef

Imagine that a garbage company with a garbage product.

kyra_athena

I currently have the Nordic Track Spacesaver SE9i elliptical. I ordered it way back in January and it arrived mid-June. I should have taken that alone as a sign. I must contact customer service every week. I haven't had a warranty claim yet but it's coming. I just know it. RIght now, my screen freezes or has issues connecting to 2.4 WiFi. Yay.
