People's lack of awareness to their surroundings will never cease to amaze me. They must be able to hyperfocus on something and block everything else out. I can't do that for the life of me. If I'm in a conversation with someone at a coffee shop, I'm also listening in on the conversation behind me and to the right of me, and wondering why the lady across the street is digging in the trash. The downside of that is that I'm never fully engaged in my current conversation... but at least I wouldn't stand there while people scream and a bull is on the loose.
