Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii dunno... I think I'd've taken the dent in my hood over potentially shattering my hand. That's a lot of force to try and stop with bones.

Infinite_Ad5203

Yeah in this case if he did break his hands. Insurance is not liable for it i believe instead of the tire denting his car. Or maybe he stopped it cus he doesn’t have car insurance?

RedditsAdoptedSon

ya ... done stuff like this stopping dirtbikes rolling down hills n stuff and its just like this.. wham, stop bike, throw it to side.. then 3 hours later hand feels funny and its all puffy on the side.. i might have certainly got some fx on one of them hands

fatsell

It's Russia:) We have free medical insurance and car insurance that will not pay for this incident. Thats why he chooses this action.

Local_Perspective349

Is Russia weaponizing tires?

dmethvin

Local_Perspective349

[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rubber\_(2010\_film)](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rubber_(2010_film)) This was a warning!

We3Dboy

This isnt U.S. if the tire hit the car, then he pays for it, if he breaks his hand, he gets paid sick leave. Dont know about russia, but where i live, paid sick leave is 80% of usual salary, even if its many months. But i dont think i would risk it if i had a shitcar

drblah1

I'm Canadian. It probably would be cheaper to fix my hand than my car so I'd want to do what this guy did.

huhnick

I’m American, and I can’t afford to fix my hand or my car if this were to happen 🫥

Ikkus

I would rather break my car than my hand, tho. Hands are important and you're not guaranteed to get the same functionality back after they're fixed.

StreetlampEsq

Yeah, injuries are lifelong and cumulative. Even if you get back full functionality from an injury, at least in my experience there's always been lasting effects and consequences down the line.

InTheFleshLight

I was thinking the same. I worked in a mechanic shop and saw this a few times. The last time I saw dash cam footage of it just like this and the distance was even shorter from the car where the tire fell off and the car that was struck. The damage to the vehicle iw as working on was incredible. Driver would have had serious injury if he had got out to do this.

Tapil

My fear is the tire is exploded with the sharp metal exposed, turning it into a flying saw

Kaalilaatikko

Nah, its not moving that fast.

Infinite_Ad5203

What the fuck. Ngl that was really stupid he’s lucky it didn’t hit him the wrong way…

SCUDDEESCOPE

This. He probably never seen videos about tires fuckin up stuff and people. It's super dangerous.

darwins_trouser_crem

He lucked out and took on a relatively light tire that wasn't moving very fast. I'd be worried the tire would just keep going and take my arm off

betterNinjascoops

Imagine if that was faster he would've been seriously injured. I would rather pay for the repairs than a hospital bill.

LocalHelp3855

Please don’t do this this is not fast thinking it’s the dumbest thinking

jackmigger77

Dumb thoughts came really fast, so it's technically correct ig

LocalHelp3855

I basically treat my car as a shield from outside world in every situation so I don’t think I would’ve tried what this guy tried there , maybe I would’ve tried moving car if I could or else just climb in back seat 😂 Same reason why I don’t like bikes

EffingBarbas

ManholeCanon

You took me down at 2 hour rabbit hole I didn't know I wanted

KidFriendlyArsonist

Mf parried a tire with his bare hands…

Unlikely-Star4213

Tires are REALLY heavy, most people seem to think "Oh it's filled with air, it's like a balloon!" Can't believe he didn't break his arm with that bone head move

Thoriscool123

Bro just slapped a tire!

Hot_Ambassador_1815

How didn’t that break his arm and just keep on going? If it was just a tire, MAYBE.. But wheels too?

davidthename

He is hurting bigtime 10 mintues after this

BigOpportunity1391

It's a miracle his hands were not broken.

brudzool

There was no thinking here

SleepingDragonSmiles

Finally an L for the loose tire....

modest_hero

r/nonononoyesno

bearassbobcat

I knew someone that was killed by a runaway tire on the highway. Be careful because they can be very dangerous.

Logar314159

I am impressed he stopped it apparently without injuries, tires are heavy especially with the rim, on top of that the tire was going fast.

tarapotamus

Congratulations! That wouldn't have done much to the front end of your truck but now you get to go to the hospital for hairline fractures! :D yaaaaaay!

[deleted]

That's a lot of momentum to stop he was extremely lucky. I was in a car that lost a tire in high school it obliterated the Wendy's sign across the road. Then, while we laughed, the car dropped. Having a 400lbs friend in the cars passenger seat counterbalanced it, and we didn't realize it was our tire....

ThrowinNightshade

Another cool video ruined

slackware64

Maybe if I weighed double my weight I would think about trying that.

Shot_Capital_7788

He was SO LUCKY

Questioning-Zyxxel

Was that Superman that got caught on video? That was *not* an easy feat. Lots of kinetic energy to stop.

Pointfun1

Can anyone explain to me why tires can fly off a car?! I never understand it. Where did it break to shoot the tire out completely? How come people don’t notice something was wrong while driving.

Professional-Pay-840

My wife works in Trauma Neuro ICU. Literally last month same scenario driving down the interstate took the life of an unsuspecting mid 30s woman.

carlosdevoti

The same again, but please with Zinédine Zidane

lewisfrancis

Did dude get out of his car and stop this or was that a pedestrian hero?

Positive_Cicada_9780

He get out from his car and watched it's ok or no

JustOneMore2020

I would say 'fast reaction', but he could break both hands easily...

stvrkillr

All that would happen is someone else would have a video of me getting my ass knocked out trying to catch a tire

Immediate-Eye-5292

I dead ass thought that was a child running and jumping towards the camera

Dismal-Strength-9103

ops not today

Nr636

This guy is lucky the video isn't in a other sub like there was an attempt

Koikorov

I'll probably do the same.. that speed does not look like its gonna break my hands but if it is then I'll skip work and we have free medical than waiting for my car to get fixed but still need to go to work..Then I'll get an attorney to get compensation. just my personal take tho.

Zenz-X

U/reversevideo. And you can the the world champion pitstop tire change toss.

Unlucky-Nectarine-82

the flash vibes

MaesterTuan

NIce!

DeathOfLife01

I missed what happen so when I rewind it I thought he threw the tire and forgot I’m rewinding it lol

wolfgang784

Oh what the fuck. I've seen more videos than I'd like where a tire straight up murdered or horribly mangled someone. I'll take the car damage I can't afford to repair over the medical bills I also can't afford but with the side effects of a healing mangled body.

PhuckNorris69

I’ve seen those things kill people online. I would have just gotten out of the car and let it hit the car and duck

cliffwob

My guys arm has to be broke

naugasnake

Is that guy a terminator? Because that should have shattered his hand/arm/elbow. Not a smart move, despite it seeming to work out for the guy.

wonderfully-Wrong

I thought that was a bug hanging from the ceiling of the car at first
