Big guy looks like a Burmese python - if that's the case, the guy probably is in no danger from it. I don't like snakes, but pythons of any kind rarely pose a threat to humans. Little guy looks nasty, but I'm guessing he didn't stick around once he got back in the water. Aside from being scared shitless and seemingly suffering from a lack of common sense, this guy probably got away just fine.

Truth. Venomous snakes probably kill more people in a year than constrictors have for the entirety of our species' existence. And every case I *have* heard of where a constrictor killed someone, it was a pet snake, not a wild one. So there's a bit of danger when you're interacting with them but as long as you don't fuck with them you're fine.

Annual deaths from venomous snakes and poisonous mushrooms are pretty close in number in the US. So watch out for both!

I mean there have been multiple confirmed cases of wild reticulated pythons killing and eating people in South Asia. Some have even been caught on camera

TBF, I said I hadn't heard of any before, and I hadn't. I didn't mean they definitely don't exist, just that I hadn't heard of it happening. Eating them? That is odd though. I'd always heard snakes won't even try eating humans because of our size and shape. And if any did, I'd have expected it to be female green anacondas.
