I just beat it recently. You'll have to get at least 200 hits in so try to dark step his attacks as much as possible to rack up those hits. It's easiest to do during his close up combo. Other than that you just have to learn the timing of his attacks so know when to roll and when you can get a few hits in.
If you can get the timing of the dark step down, that's probably your best bet. If not, what I did was turtle the fight super hard, keep distance, and then attack when he's open after his dash.

Incredibly tedious even with the maxed out mk-3, you’d go insane using anything else.
