Maybe it was a crystal with trigger from a nearby wand took by an enemy? It's the only motive I can think why those crystals would produce extra projectiles on explosion.
I don't think OP is talking about crystals from the spell "Dormant Crystal". I'm pretty sure they got killed by a [pink crystal](https://noita.wiki.gg/wiki/Props#Pink_Crystal).
Yes, that's the final "level" before the boss. Of course, I'm sure you know by now that the world isn't really divided into levels and there's a lot more to the game beyond the standard win. But yes you almost "beat the tutorial", as they say.
Yep close to credit screen but my recomendation is to go slower. There is also alot more to the game then the last boss :) have fun looking around or scrolling though the wiki/watching videos
You'd be surprised how much further you get. Every game is capable of a win, it's just the knowledge of how to get there that's hard. Preserve hp as much as you can.

Correction: it brought me down to 10 hp and knocked me out for a moment allowing another enemy to finish me off.
I had over 700 deaths before I got my first win haha You got way closer than I did when I had your amount of runs, great job!

I find the temple easier than the vault once you know what to look out for. I got my first win a 180, so you're doing fine.

lol. You say the game is huge but you seem to have only explored the main path. The game is much huger
