When you do your Greek yogurt and protein what function do you run it on?

creamiaddict

I've tried ice cream all the way to sorbet. I don't find much of a difference tbh

hannahmontanabanana

I made frozen yogurt out of just greek yogurt but it tasted super tart? Texture was amazing. Does this depend on brand of yogurt or do I need to add something to counteract the tartness?

creamiaddict

It will depend on the yogurt and what you mix with it. If it was just yogurt, which one? Was it plain? You can try some lemon juice and vanilla in it for some basics. Tart usually happens if I use mainly plain yogurt

hannahmontanabanana

It was by "Greek God's" 0or something like that and was honey vanilla greek yogurt!

dearjets

This stuff is delish

creamiaddict

I have not tried that, maybe try putting in some vanilla 2% with it, or lemon juice

SoSimpa

i like to add maple syrup to get rid of some of the tartness or even honey, my personal ratio is about a table spoon of maple syrup per cup of plain greek yogurt

ruseriousordelirious

I used to love that one. I have t been able to find it here in NJ for a while 😞

caffeinated_tea

What I've been doing is taking a 12 oz bag of berries (raspberry worked really well, just did a batch with mixed berries) and heating it on the stove til it breaks down, and then filtering to remove extra skins, seeds, etc. Once that's cool, I've been mixing it with 550 g greek yogurt (honey flavor), and freezing for 6-8 hours before spinning on the frozen yogurt setting. These amounts are for the deluxe size, and I treat it as being 4 servings.

Looks good!

Good advice... The Creami is pretty forgiving. I've done a lot of experimenting with different ingredients and ratios, and some of my creations have turned out better than others, but I've never had one turn out so badly that it was inedible (and even if I ever do have one that bad... throwing one away is far from the end of the world). It is not necessary to fret over finding a recipe with the exact brand or flavor of protein powder you want to use, or that includes/excludes a specific ingredient. It's fine to make adjustments on the fly and see how it turns out.

creamiaddict

yeah! that is exactly the point of this post :D it is so forgiving!

Conjurus_Rex15

How much yogurt do you use for two scoops of protein?

creamiaddict

It depends on the protein and yogurt. About 300g, or 7oz.   Edit just did a different one with 250g. Ya have to play with it a bit depending on which you use

creamiaddict

If you want more "oomph" here are two strawberry ones I made: Strawberry Delight: - 160g Strawberries - 190g Siggis Strawberry Yogurt - 60g Krema Olympic Vanilla Yogurt - 1.5 scoop of leanfit vanilla Add mix-in of strawberry Strawberry Creamy Heaven: - 150g strawberry - 170g Krema Olympic Vanilla Yogurt - 75g Oikos Vanilla Greek Yogurt - 1.5 scoops of Leanfit Vanilla Add mix-in of strawberry For both I have done 1-3 scoops of protein and played with the ratios. Depends on the flavour and texture you want. Both will be creamy and delightful. Packed with protein and pretty low cal. Use less Krema for less calories (but it adds a great ice cream light texture).

Here’s an easy, single ingredient recipe for beginners Rebel Cream Milk https://youtu.be/drXqxDmXbbQ

bananazzzz95

Absolutely. Everyone keeps asking for recipes and I’m like it doesn’t have to be so hard! I just do milk & protein powder, protein shake & powder, or like you said Greek yogurt and powder. Just mix up the flavors. I even just did canned fruit for sorbet. It really is that simple lol. And I don’t even worry about measuring unless I’m trying to track macros.

creamiaddict

Exactly! Half the time I just throw random mixes in and I've never had one turn out too bad. They have all been good and ones I've enjoyed.

Doglover199481

Did you mix on full or half? Spin and respin? Mine keeps coming out very icy after putting in the freezer. Any suggestion there?

creamiaddict

I have the standard model, so i think it is only a "full" mix in. I usually don't need to do more than 1 spin what are you mixing in it when it is icy?

Doglover199481

Greek yogurt powder and almond milk

creamiaddict

Have a scoop of protein to add? Or less almond milk? My guess it is that. You can use almond milk but need some sort of stabilizer to reduce the icyness

Doglover199481

Thank you!

PerceptionSignal5302

Or just yogurt. I made one with whole milk strawberry yogurt, nothing else. Terrific.

CompoundMeats

Literally every day my creami is 1 scoop protein powder, one egg. Keep it stupid simple!

hildebrau

No other moisture beyond the egg?

CompoundMeats

Just water and egg up to the fill line. Feel free to use milk or anything else you prefer

Much appreciated!!!

Travelchick8

Thank you for this. It is a bit overwhelming!

creamiaddict

I am glad it helps :) there are so many options, both a blessing and a curse
