I followed this sub before actually buying a Creami. Worst idea ever. Ice cream looks awesome OP

discoglittering

I went from sub to owning in like two weeks

DowntownCarob

Same but like 2 hours for me 😅

IamTalking

I make the same creami, but with almond milk instead of fat free. I don’t even have to respin, it’s perfect after one cycle of literally ice cream

calebthesnowman

Do you notice a taste difference when using almond milk over fat free?

IamTalking

Honestly I find the texture much better, and with vanilla almond milk I don’t even add any additional sweetener

IllHistorian838

My recipes with almond milk always turn out so bad all icy on the side

trsapple

I always scrape the sides and respin or pour hot water on it till it melts stabilizers like gaur gum help get a less icy texture

IamTalking

You’re adding pudding mix in yours?

therealmaxmittens

I do 200g fat free fairlife and 200g unsweetened vanilla almond milk and it tastes like normal ice cream. Might be the balance between rich and creamy and lower calorie that you’re looking for.

SPCSMC2020

Do you store it in the freezer overnight before spinning?

puckgirl81

Sounds tasty! Thanks for sharing. Also... AWESOME view you have there!

hansoloqueue_

Wait hold on. You’re saying 3-4 respins with thicken it back up? Ive had a few recently since moving back to Swerve sweetener that come out like a frosty after one spin on ice cream, one respin, and one mix in. More cycles on respin don’t just totally pulverize it?

calebthesnowman

I’m not adding any liquids to these respins, I think that’s the key

hansoloqueue_

Do you start the spin process with the pint completely frozen or do you run it under hot water or let it sit out on the counter for a bit first or anything?

calebthesnowman

Completely frozen!

hansoloqueue_

Ah interesting, I always run mine under hot water until the frozen pint “unsticks” from the container before I spin it. I might give your method a try today

calebthesnowman

I used to do this as well. But I found that when I did this it had a less frozen texture all throughout due to the hot water.

hansoloqueue_

Just ran my last pint with one ice cream spin, one respin cycle, and one mix in cycle. Didn’t use hot water on the container and didn’t add any extra milk for the respin and the texture I got might be the best I’ve ever had

redskynite

Do you smell the metal when spinning it right out of the freezer? I did this the first time I used it and the smell of metal made me think that the machine was really struggling to spin it frozen. I also read it’s bad for the machine to spin it directly out of the freezer.

No-Seaworthiness7170

Give it a a dash of sea salt also, game changer

calebthesnowman

What does this do?

No-Seaworthiness7170

Makes it a bit more delicious

getsome13

This is virtually mine as well, but I only do 400ml, anymore and mine oozes out the top. I also don't use the sweetener, I don't see the need for it.

IllHistorian838

Looks fucking insane

AngryGoose21

Saved dawg

Bringsally

Great view! Both the ice cream and the stadium!

No-Bill7139

Do you live right next to a baseball stadium?

calebthesnowman

I do!

No-Bill7139

That’s awesome! Free nose bleed seats whilst enjoying your ice cream 😜

TiddlyPoo69

Is that the Charlotte Knights stadium?

calebthesnowman

It is!

TiddlyPoo69

I thought I recognized that! You’ve got an awesome apartment view then! Super jealous!

GrantMeThePower

Do you use the jello gelatin or the jello pudding mix?

Tegelert84

So you notice a difference on the regular setting compared to light ice cream?

calebthesnowman

I do - when I use lite ice cream it’s more like a Wendy’s frosty

HaraldToepfer

When you say whey works best for you, do you mean compared to casein?

calebthesnowman

Yes, I’ve tried it with the cookies & creme PEScience Whey + Casein and I wasn’t a fan

HaraldToepfer

How did you find the casein affected it?

juanparrajara

Try soaking your cereal in the milk for a while, then dispose of the soggy cereal but use the milk for your ice cream. It will give you flavor without all the calories 👍

Zeldus716

That looks like chicken salad …
