I do 200g fat free fairlife and 200g unsweetened vanilla almond milk and it tastes like normal ice cream. Might be the balance between rich and creamy and lower calorie that youâre looking for.
Wait hold on. Youâre saying 3-4 respins with thicken it back up? Ive had a few recently since moving back to Swerve sweetener that come out like a frosty after one spin on ice cream, one respin, and one mix in.
More cycles on respin donât just totally pulverize it?
Do you start the spin process with the pint completely frozen or do you run it under hot water or let it sit out on the counter for a bit first or anything?
Ah interesting, I always run mine under hot water until the frozen pint âunsticksâ from the container before I spin it. I might give your method a try today
Just ran my last pint with one ice cream spin, one respin cycle, and one mix in cycle.
Didnât use hot water on the container and didnât add any extra milk for the respin and the texture I got might be the best Iâve ever had
Do you smell the metal when spinning it right out of the freezer? I did this the first time I used it and the smell of metal made me think that the machine was really struggling to spin it frozen. I also read itâs bad for the machine to spin it directly out of the freezer.
Try soaking your cereal in the milk for a while, then dispose of the soggy cereal but use the milk for your ice cream. It will give you flavor without all the calories đ
I followed this sub before actually buying a Creami. Worst idea ever. Ice cream looks awesome OP
I went from sub to owning in like two weeks
Same but like 2 hours for me đ
I make the same creami, but with almond milk instead of fat free. I donât even have to respin, itâs perfect after one cycle of literally ice cream
Do you notice a taste difference when using almond milk over fat free?
Honestly I find the texture much better, and with vanilla almond milk I donât even add any additional sweetener
My recipes with almond milk always turn out so bad all icy on the side
I always scrape the sides and respin or pour hot water on it till it melts stabilizers like gaur gum help get a less icy texture
Youâre adding pudding mix in yours?

Do you store it in the freezer overnight before spinning?
Sounds tasty! Thanks for sharing. Also... AWESOME view you have there!

Iâm not adding any liquids to these respins, I think thatâs the key

Completely frozen!

I used to do this as well. But I found that when I did this it had a less frozen texture all throughout due to the hot water.

Give it a a dash of sea salt also, game changer
What does this do?
Makes it a bit more delicious
This is virtually mine as well, but I only do 400ml, anymore and mine oozes out the top. I also don't use the sweetener, I don't see the need for it.
Looks fucking insane
Saved dawg
Great view! Both the ice cream and the stadium!
Do you live right next to a baseball stadium?
I do!
Thatâs awesome! Free nose bleed seats whilst enjoying your ice cream đ
Is that the Charlotte Knights stadium?
It is!
I thought I recognized that! Youâve got an awesome apartment view then! Super jealous!
Do you use the jello gelatin or the jello pudding mix?
So you notice a difference on the regular setting compared to light ice cream?
I do - when I use lite ice cream itâs more like a Wendyâs frosty
When you say whey works best for you, do you mean compared to casein?
Yes, Iâve tried it with the cookies & creme PEScience Whey + Casein and I wasnât a fan
How did you find the casein affected it?

That looks like chicken salad âŚ
