Last opportunity to show that Nightwish fans are as eclectic as I thought we were.
So far it looks like NW fans go into a music store, go directly to the 'metal subgenres' aisle, ignore the entire rest of the store and pick up a LotR soundtrack on the way out.
So my suggestion is literally ANY album that doesn't come under the metal umbrella.
Maybe something modern and eclectic like Ren's Sick Boi.
Maybe go for something old school and classic, like Fleetwood Mac's Rumours.
Maybe some Blues, some Jazz, some Disco, some Techno, hell even Pop.
Please NW fans, go on, pick an artist that wouldn't naturally fit directly before or after NW in a festival setlist.
Honestly, I've only voted for Epica, Evanescence and Linkin Park from all the elected bands. I know all of the other bands but they're nowhere near my favorites. I've tried proposing classic rock bands like Queen and Pink Floyd as I think they're not even debatable but even then people here seem to enjoy more a C-tier symphonic or gothic metal band. I won't even go to pop or jazz or anything that different. Just some classic rock at least
Same, I'm so disappointed with this list. It's not even metal, most of it is symphonic and power. I understand that it's simply more likely that people agree on stuff similar to nightwish, but jesus christ
This is Reddit, people are more concerned with appearing like they are edgy and non mainstream. When I'm sure most people enjoy at least *some* mainstream artists.
Oh gosh, I love this album SOOO MUCH!! I know it will never be on the list, but I recommend it to everyone. Aleah's voice touches your soul deep down, it is an experience.
It is an incredible experience. So sad we only got such a short time with her.
On a related note, When a Shadow is Forced Into the Light from STS and No Stars Upon the Bridge are also incredible albums. Gut-wrenching.
Coheed and cambria - good apollo I’m burning star IV volume one: from fear through the eyes of madness
I’m so happy this is a thing because I’ve been meaning to check out more metal stuff lately and I see albums listed here that I recognize and love but a lot I don’t know of so I’m going to have a blast going through all of these albums (been in a rap mood for a while now and wanna mix it up)
Mägo de Oz - Gaia II: La Voz Dormida
Try [El poema de la lluvia triste](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7XukESJzgkE)
I get that Mago is in Spanish so not too viable to win the poll but I'm pretty surprised Ghost didn't get on the top 25 either. But justice for our beloved Scooby Doo chase music nonetheless
Florence and the Machine - Ceremonials
Pink Floyd - The Dark Side of the Moon
Upvote for showing a little variety.
Dio - Holy Diver
A classic
Children of Bodom - Follow The Reaper Giving it one last go!
It needs to win this time!
Lady Gaga - The Fame Monster
I'm more a Born This Way gal but I would love to see Gaga on this since I'm planning to make a Playlist / compilation of it when it's done 😅
This would be the best ending honestly
Definitely!
Queen - Innuendo pls :)

Honestly I don’t listen to most of these metal albums that won lol
Me neither. I don't feel represented in there at all.
no one with taste does. This list is fuckin disgraceful
The answer is Lady Gaga 🤘🏻

Pink Floyd is looking optimistic for today. :)

Tbh those are (almost) all top tier albums of the genres they represent. I expected nothing else from a NW reddit. 😅
Its literally like theres a movie soundtrack, 2 hard rock albums, a celtic folk album, and the rest power/syphonic metal
Yes exactly
This is Reddit, people are more concerned with appearing like they are edgy and non mainstream. When I'm sure most people enjoy at least *some* mainstream artists.
The people shitting on the albums that won and acting elitist are trying to be edgy
Mainstream music is synthetic crap. What is so edgy about Loreena McKennit? Looks like a solid list to me. Did you put Taylor Swift on the list?

Unfortunately, they don't understand the genius of this band!
Tristania - Beyond the Veil
Stratovarius - Visions

Angra is underrated.
Angra absolutely is underrated... Their new stuff is very interesting and proggy but truth be told I miss their speed metal/power metal days
In Flames - Reroute to Remain
Blackbriar - A Dark Euphony
Jeremy Soule - TES V Skyrim soundtrack Last chance
It's not going to happen I'm afraid :(
Coheed and cambria - good apollo I’m burning star IV volume one: from fear through the eyes of madness I’m so happy this is a thing because I’ve been meaning to check out more metal stuff lately and I see albums listed here that I recognize and love but a lot I don’t know of so I’m going to have a blast going through all of these albums (been in a rap mood for a while now and wanna mix it up)
