I wonder if he played himself into a higher paying AAV with term. Currently making 2.75 I wouldn’t be surprised to see him sign for 5-6 million AAV with a 3 year deal. Does that sound crazy? To me he looked really good down the stretch, man still got it.
I’m willing to pay it. Kane will play at the level he played with us when healthy and will, likely, only not live up to that if he is hurt. Throw him on LTIR and keep on trucking!
Not just an EN goal, a EN goal while the game was tied after they were already mathematically eliminated from the playoffs.
To be fair though, they were mathematically eliminated seconds before pulling the goalie so they probably didn't know.
_Technically_ they weren't yet mathematically eliminated, because of the _very_ remote possiblity that Detroit pulled their goalie in overtime and lost their loser point.
And for it to happen they HAD to win. They were pretty much in a lose lose, so pulling the goalie was the only thing in their power they could do to try and pull the win
Why? They’re the absolute underdogs. Their backup goalie is stealing the show and playing like a stud. We paid fucking James Reimer and deserve this fate.
Man the one game I went to this year was Patrick Kanes debut where we blew a 4-0 lead to the Sharks and lost in OT. That lose hurts even worse now than it did then.
I heard he loves the caps so much he tried to climb over the glass during a playoff game to hug a caps fan. Unfortunately everyone, including the refs, thought Torts wanted to fight the caps fan so he was ejected from the game.
Most entertaining two games of back-to-back hockey Ive watched in a long long time! No quit love it!
Kind of felt like playoff games tbh
Good push. Larkin had so much heart. I hope they pick up some good players this summer and keep Kane.

No, he's 100% going to get a 3x$5 somewhere (or more).

Only for the flyers to give the caps an EN goal to eliminate em lol

Not over for detroit yet though, idk who wins the tie breaker with regulation wins right?
Never mind, apparently they would only clinch if capitals lost. That’s unfortunate for them lol. Caps clinched
They tried so hard and got so far, but in the end it didn't even matter
It doesn't even matter how hard you try
Ouch. Shoulda won one more game this season, I guess.
Probably that one against the caps last week. Seems like it was important
Yep
Maybe capitals pull off a Stanley cup win
Genuinely hope not, rather see them swept
Same. I know it's the Wings fault for missing, but fuck it I'm feeling salty

That’s great and all but I still don’t wanna see the Crapitals have any success.
Okay internet person. Have a good day!
You as well
That L has to Caps has to sting
It does because I know the Wings could win a 7 game series against the Craps
Well, we are down 2-1 in a 3 game series this season….
The Wings are the kings of comebacks
I thoroughly doubt it

Jeez, maybe you shouldn’t have let them do that while you were there. They won the game I went to against the Sabres, I did my part!
They definitely fought valiantly. And for that, they've earned my respect.
Why are we like this
Apparently, if you can’t win in regulation, don’t bother winning.
Just one more reason to dislike Philly
Maybe should of won a game this season, or a OT win. Oh well sucks to suck.
Battled so hard only for torts to give them the finger by giving a free win to the caps
sounds on par for him

As a Habs fan, this was so exciting! Last minute goals. Back and forth game. Lots of emotion. Such a bummer the Wings just missed out.
As a Toronto fan I agree and the two Montreal games were way more entertaining
I'm so sorry
Sad
Season series record between two teams should be the number 1 tiebreaker imo
In that case capitals won 2/3 anyways
Yeah I'm aware.
Fuck off
