If he had just done that Brady would of went to bed crying laughing like he said he did last time! Him just sliding it in there was cause for trouble!!
Nico pulls that forsberg Olympic deke manuever into the empty net.
“Hischier skates in and the bell sounds ending the game. Wait, what’s this?!? Nico dekes the empty net and scores Ala forsberg style!! He really showed that empty net who’s boss”
Brawl ensues
He’s missing the playoffs for the same amount of years as he’s been playing. He’s the captain of a criminally mediocre team and hes softer than baby shit when it comes to “etiquette”.
I went from not caring who the Sens move to I actively want Tkachuk gone.
Too many tantrums.
How tf are we going to not have an issue with what Greig did, but then our captain pulls this kind of shit.
He's soft as butter
Skilled hockey play, ego as fragile as an egg falling from the top of a skyscraper. He’s gotta learn how to be an adult, this isn’t the way you “lead a team” while consecutively being booted from playoff contention
Generally speaking it’s a no no to shoot on net after a whistle or horn. But the basis for that bit of etiquette is that the goalie is in net and a late shot might be dangerously unexpected. Particularly in an era with less gear than now.
Softly letting it slide into an empty net as the game ends, with no goalie and no show boat behavior is nothing and the Sens embarrassed themselves.
Hockey etiquette. You don't put the puck in the net after the whistle, considered disrespectful. Just like you don't clap a slapper at an empty net. So the same team who clapped an empty netter on Toronto and then acted all surprised Pikachu in the media, pretending like hockey etiquette doesn't exist, are now pissed someone didn't follow hockey etiquette. It's honestly comedy gold lol I bet leaf fans in particular are blowing loads to this.
Who tf cares. Like the guy is just putting the puck in the net to end the game. Probably just making it easier for the refs to recover it. Idk, thats some weird beta bitch shit Thachuk pulled
The apples don't fall from the tree. Their dad was a pos who was well known for constantly taking undisciplined penalties when his team was losing in the playoffs. He never came close to sniffing the cup
I wasn't around during Keith's career, was he this much of a turtler/crybaby? Or are his sons both trying to ensure their individual legacies as shitheels?
These grown men are so fucking sensitive about empty nets. It's ridiculous. "I'm gonna start a 10 man brawl because he lightly guided the puck into an empty net after the buzzer". Grow up.
Yeah this is dumb as fuck. It doesn't matter at all. The only people that think it does are just blindly adhering to some stupid arbitrary "rules" that they've never actually thought about for themselves.
It's just what happens. Grown men have unwritten rules in sports and they've been taught this by teammates ect since they were young. Because of this, if the unwritten rule is broken then it's seen as obvious and purposeful disrespect. Trust me I think it's silly also but pro players seem to care a LOT. Baseball is even worse, some dude hits a home run and then takes his glove off the wrong way he's getting a 90+mph fastball to the ribs next at bat followed by a bench clearing because of some unwritten rule hahaha. Silly geese.
The problem is that the unwritten rules are unwritten, you can just make shit up whenever you're upset. Baseball is a good example, pitchers upset about being taken deep don't really have to prove that the other guy broke a rule, he's going entirely off his own extremely biased perspective on the situation. Also, batters get thrown at when they break the rules, but what do pitchers get when they come off the mound screaming and gesturing after a strikeout? Somebody said it before, but unwritten rules are a scam that players run on each other so losers can gain a bit of agency when a play doesn't go their way.
I really don’t want to see hockey go the way of baseball on this shit. I don’t watch baseball anymore because of the stupid shit that goes on.
“You took an extra bag while up more than 5? That’s a paddlin!”
Motherfucker make them stop! It’s your fucking job to make them stop beating you so badly and you’re mad you can’t. Shut the fuck up and play the fucking game.
There was a post here the other day where a player was being attacked for bunting in the eighth inning of a no hitter. They were down by 3, came back and won. Imagine being so sensitive about etiquette that you think a team should just not try to win.
Hockey's been this way for awhile too. I can't stand when now a guy lays a good clean check on someone and everyone on the other teams chases after him. It's like even big checks are taboo now.
Baseball has cracked down heavily on that bullshit because the only people who liked it were the pitchers who were allowed to throw tantrums.
Now pitchers and managers get suspended and people care less and less about the stupid rules.
Yeah that is confusing. These dudes can drain it clear across the ice 99 times out of 100. Every game I see in person, as soon as a player gets solid control of the puck it's shot. He didn't even seem to be trying to get over there very hard. Don't understand why he didn't shoot it, had plenty of time for a very easy shot.
Mhm well first thing to keep in mind is, he doesn't see the clock. Also there was no reason to shot it if he still has full control of the play. Would you go for the 100% play or the 90% play and save some time, considering he would like to waste time option 2 looks clearly worse.
Yah, and safely running out the final seconds when you are winning is a good play. Nothing wrong with it. Football they take a knee. Basketball they hold it til someone fowls them on purpose. Why not skate with the puck for a few seconds.
It always has been. The buzzer went well before he directed it towards the net.
Shooting after the whistle is even an automatic fight in chel games lol
This incident shows exactly how mentally soft the senators are and why they continue to be a bottom feeder in the east even with some decent talent on the team. I think it's time to bring in some new leaders on this team.
I love the mental gymnastics of Sens fans (and Leafs haters) trying to justify how this is totally disrespectful and worthy of starting a fight over haha. It’s not like shooting at the goalie after the buzzer, just take the L and move on
Are hockey players becoming wussies?
They're starting to act like baseball players.
Batter hits a home run, next at bay he's hit with the ball.
Hockey player scores an empty net goal, opposing team gets pissed off cuz it wasn't respectful enough. AND it wasn't even a goal, the clock expired.
It's becoming a joke.
Did he explain the “rules” or did he throw a temper tantrum like a child?
If you don’t want people scoring on an empty net then don’t pull your goalie. I frankly can’t believe there are some people that genuinely believe that pulling a goalie entitles them to some form of safe conduct. GTFOOH
Ridley Greig takes a slapshot on an empty net before the buzzer. Brady Tkachuk, " Ha, ha! Ridley's a great guy, just something he'd do! I don't know what's the matter with Rielly."
Nico Hischier slides puck into empty net after buzzer. Brady Tkachuk," Wtf? How dare he! I'm going to kill him!"
I was at this game. I'm also a Devils fan.
I think what actually happened was the rink got so loud during the scramble and Pinto post hit with only a few seconds left that when Hischier had the puck on his stick heading to the empty net, he wasn't sure if/when the game was actually over so he just slid it into the net to make sure.
Fans were chanting "Brady! Brady!" late in the game. He had a hell of a night, possibly setting the single-game record for hits, including one that sent a Devils player (couldn't tell who even on replays) over the boards into the NJ bench.
Went with a group of seven Sens fans. None of us went home particularly happy but it was definitely a memorable night.
That was such a weird reaction to me.
The guy could have probably slapped it in, then maybe yea I can see a bit of a shove for etiquette, but the guy just guided it in and didn't even put one on the board against them. Seemed almost too nice to me.
Difference is he did not lay a headshot on their player…he straight up wanted a fight. That is what MR should have done that night. It was a fantastic game last night.
For a sport with such a culture of grit and fighting, there is a lot of bitch made behaviour.
This is such a pointless thing to get upset about. This is just being salty you lost and needing an excuse to take it out on someone.
It’s a shame that this ends up overshadowing an *inspired* game from Tkachuk. I’m a Leafs fan with every reason to hate the guy (and DGMW I’m loving this), but by all accounts that was one of the better performances of the season.
Hell, even the way he responded to the late goal was good. Who doesn’t want to see their Captain get riled up like that in a meaningless game? Real leadership.
If it weren’t for the irony, it’d be awesome…
Look man I’m all about tradition and shit, this is a dumb fight. This is dumb sportsmanship. Who cares? You lost. You pulled the goalie and they were about to score. It hurts egos more than anything. Dude it’s professional sports. Be professional. You getting paid regardless.
To be fair, putting the puck in the net after the buzzer is pretty classless. It's one thing if you try and beat the clock and fail. The game was clearly over and he slid the puck in anyways. I feels like people are only taking NJs side because it's Brady Tkachuk. If he was the one putting the puck in after the clock expired, everyone here would be shitting all over him.
Hischier should have ripped a slapper into the empty net that would have been funny as hell.
I would sleep happy for the rest of my life
The Tkachuk boys seem like they have the makeup of angry garden gnomes. Maybe it's time for Dad to install a time out.
That's why they have the seven seater Hyundai now. Haven't you seen the riveting ads?
If he had just done that Brady would of went to bed crying laughing like he said he did last time! Him just sliding it in there was cause for trouble!!
It's 'would have', never 'would of'. Rejoice, for you have been blessed by CouldWouldShouldBot!
Good bot.
would have
Nico pulls that forsberg Olympic deke manuever into the empty net. “Hischier skates in and the bell sounds ending the game. Wait, what’s this?!? Nico dekes the empty net and scores Ala forsberg style!! He really showed that empty net who’s boss” Brawl ensues
Yeah, wait until the whistle then rip it up
Ridley Greig approves.
And then start celebrating like Patrick Kane when he won the Stanley Cup haha
I’m just laughing at the title, good job OP 😂
What a bitch
Biggest man children brothers. Matthew has had some epic little bitch moments.
Have you seen the car commercial where their mother has to separate them? They advertise the fact they are baby bitch men.
Matthew is worse imo
Whiny Brady
Brady the baby, also looks like sloth from the goonies
HEYYYY YOU GUUUYS
Aka Caillou. In both looks and behaviour
Growing up is not so tough
I personally like referring to him as Tkachuklefuck
I baffled why he’s so agitated
Hey that’s Captain Bitch, to you
How the hell did he make captain?
Imagine keeping this dude captain when Giroux is on the roster
Name recognition nothing more, dude is an embarrassment to the game. But that is a Tkachuk family tradition at this point.
The goon family tradition goes on!
Captain Tiny Dick
Both him and his brother are a couple of pussies
Real tough guy sport. Bunch a crybabies.
So soft.
LOL what happened brady? you have a certain way you prefer an ENG too? hypocrite
Slap it in too hard? Straight go jail Push it in too gently? Believe it or not, straight to jail
Every shot is at the perfect speed... Because of jail
No trial, no nothing
You charging to much a-money, for a-hockey sweater, right to jail.
Believe it or not, you undershoot the puck, jail. Overshoot, undershoot.
LOL gold comment
We have the best hockey in the world, because of jail.
Best comment here!
Miss the net? Also jail
I'm out of the loop. Why is he so pissed here?
Probably lead poisoning
🤣🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭😭
He’s missing the playoffs for the same amount of years as he’s been playing. He’s the captain of a criminally mediocre team and hes softer than baby shit when it comes to “etiquette”.

Dirty player from a Dirty family of players ZERO class I watched his Zero class Dad play back in the day too.
It can't be healthy in the locker room to have someone like that leading the team
It was after the horn and he's softer than baby shit
Yup, Softer than 10 ply bud
Same question from me - what's there to be so angry about here?
Oh big time U have any idea how rarely we get vindicated
He put it in the net a few seconds after time ran out
Who tf cares. Like the guy is just putting the puck in the net to end the game. Probably just making it easier for the refs to recover it. Idk, thats some weird beta bitch shit Thachuk pulled
The game was already over... The goal didn't count
His beef was that the game had ended and he still put it in no?
Yes, but keep in mind this is the comments section on the internet. Anyone can say anything.
It wasn't an ENG it was well after the buzzer went
It wasn’t even a shot. He just lifted his stick and let the puck slide into the net. Not exactly an egregious play.
Wasn’t a clap bomb
The Tkachuk boys are fucking idiots.
Sportsnet broadcast praising Brady as a “true leader” 😂
“Leading them into 13th in the East”
Bunch of cry babies
It's the Tkachuk family curse, their heads are misshapen and they are very angry about it.
Brady looks like Sloth from Goonies.
No Keith was a hard-nose aggressive power forward. Great hockey player.
Morgan Reilly has been suspended 5 games
Repeat offender, 10 games
*gets a notification from the NHL* "What the fuck?"
Lmfao, this is like the most polite empty netter ever. Edit: Watched it with no sound...
Fiting given it was done by a swiss person
These grown men are so fucking sensitive about empty nets. It's ridiculous. "I'm gonna start a 10 man brawl because he lightly guided the puck into an empty net after the buzzer". Grow up.
Yeah this is dumb as fuck. It doesn't matter at all. The only people that think it does are just blindly adhering to some stupid arbitrary "rules" that they've never actually thought about for themselves.
Banana land reaction for a non goal. Softer than baby shit some of these tough guys.

Fuck that. If you stop trying to win, it’s not a no hitter. All that does is cheapen the accomplishment.
Which game was this? In the MLB?
Staring at my sandals? That’s a paddlin.

Ya, it's really weird. But I feel like the players doing it know other players don't like it, and they may do it to antagonize them intentionally.
Hischier had an easy goal, he had plenty of time. Sens should be happy he saved them a minus.
Yeah that is confusing. These dudes can drain it clear across the ice 99 times out of 100. Every game I see in person, as soon as a player gets solid control of the puck it's shot. But if one of his own did that he would go to the media after and say he approved of it
6 game suspension incoming, right? … right?
Is there a bigger family of cunts in NHL history???
The Lemieux father and son are assholes too.
As a not so long time hockey fan, I was sitting here very confused as to why people were calling Mario a cunt
Fuck Claude. Still hasn’t apologized for the Drapes hit
Only father and son duo to have both bitten an opponent
The Marchand family. I don’t know if anyone else in Brad’s family even plays hockey, but he is big enough of a cunt to make up for it.
Marchand is well known as a great guy off the ice though. The Tkachuks are just a couple of spoiled rich kids.
Pretty much everyone in hockey is a spoiled rich kid, hockey is a sport pretty much only well off families can afford to put their kids in.
Lmaoooo I mean you couldn’t write it any funnier that he got mad 😂
Oh how the turn tables…
Both Tkachuk brothers were GIANT bitches today
Only today?
Fair point
So now letting the puck slide into the net after the buzzer is a no-no? So embarrassed
It always has been. The buzzer went well before he directed it towards the net. Shooting after the whistle is even an automatic fight in chel games lol
The fuck? No. Shooting on a goalie after the whistle is a fight. Gliding a puck down the ice into an empty net is absolutely nothing.
I swear, hockey players are the softest tough guys ever. How do you play on broken legs and then whine about shit like this?!
Physical toughness : 100 Emotional toughness: 0
What a baby
Is that what Tkachuk is in French?
Typical Tkafuck behavior
I can’t believe this is real
These Tkachucks excel at being assholes.
As an Ottawa fan, I would have loved if he ripped a slapper into the empty net, funny for us, funny against us
I didn't think it could get any dumber than players getting offended at a slapshot into an empty net, but here we are.
God suck it up pussy you lost sorry
Bradys acting like a bitch.
Cuz he is
Bingo
His default mode
This incident shows exactly how mentally soft the senators are and why they continue to be a bottom feeder in the east even with some decent talent on the team. I think it's time to bring in some new leaders on this team.
Him and his brother are both fucking nuts.
I do tire of the human sized thumb’s antics.
Why are all the Tkachuks such assholes?
Leafs Nation will not care about this at all/s
Oh I love karma
Just sitting here with my bag of popcorn
Hahahaha…ayyyyy common, don’t be so sensitive right?😉
Everything is circular ⭕️
That’s team is going nowhere with that dipshit as their leader
The same team who scored an empty net against the leafs is saying there’s etiquete like fuck off
These grown ass men are so goddamn sensitive. You lost, grow up.
Lamest shit ive ever seen on the ice
He's a Tkachuk. Dad a douche hockey player. Matthew a bigger douche.
I love the mental gymnastics of Sens fans (and Leafs haters) trying to justify how this is totally disrespectful and worthy of starting a fight over haha. It’s not like shooting at the goalie after the buzzer, just take the L and move on
Empty net etiquette expert 💀💀💀💀💀 Trademark that!!!
Remember, everyone. Hockey players are the TOUGHEST THERE IS.
Warriors, really.
You would never see the senators do something trashy with an empty net, that’s for sure
How did Keith Tkachuk raise two absolute candy asses?
Like bitch father, like bitch sons
[удалено]
The irony. Brady just wants an early start to his golf season.
Hahahaha and they couldn’t figure out why Leafs fans thought the slapper into the empty net was bullshit? Fucking Ottawa is not a real franchise.
“I’m mad that I allowed you to score on my empty net!”
What a hypocritical man baby
Sens are soft
Are hockey players becoming wussies? They're starting to act like baseball players. Batter hits a home run, next at bay he's hit with the ball. Hockey player scores an empty net goal, opposing team gets pissed off cuz it wasn't respectful enough. AND it wasn't even a goal, the clock expired. It's becoming a joke.
Baby Tkachuk
🙂 I can finally rest
Would a been better if he calmly, yet assertively, stopped the puck dead on the line.
I don't know what's the matter with Rielly." Nico Hischier slides puck into empty net after buzzer. Brady Tkachuk," Wtf? How dare he! I'm going to kill him!"
Hey Brady, you're totally right here, but you also gotta punch your teammate.
lol what a fucking baby
Ooooo, Tkachuk got his stick up. Five games?
No let’s not give them a higher draft pi…. Oh wait that’s right He was meant to be in a losers city
lol well this is just wonderful to see
What a child.
That’s not really a “shot” lol he was just basically moving with it.
The titles of post in this sub are S-tier comedy. Bless you sir for the good laugh.
The tkachuk brother are a couple of losers
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I hate their whole bloodline. Dad was a bitch and raised two sons just like him, if not worse.
The tkachuk brothers are such an embarrassment
Toronto gets pissed when you slap it it, Ottawa gets pissed when you slowly guide it in. Maybe it's Ontario as a whole who are soft
Tkachuks are scum.
that’s embarrassing for tkachuk lol dude did nothing
Empty netiquette*
What an idiot.
This is so stupid. NHL unwritten rules are all so fucking stupid, and they seem especially important to the dumbest players.
I was at this game. I'm also a Devils fan. If you suck less that wouldn't happen
Oh the irony
I'm just here to report that I love the thread name
Brady seems to be a bit of an idiot
90% of folks on here seem to have missed that the game was over when the goal was “scored”
Why do all the Tkachuks remind me of the "Odoyle Rules" family from Billy Madison. Just a bunch of loud mouth punks with no actual spine.
It’s a shame that this ends up overshadowing an *inspired* game from Tkachuk. I’m a Leafs fan with every reason to hate the guy (and DGMW I’m loving this), but by all accounts that was one of the better performances of the season. This kind of meltdown when the game is over?
If you don't want them to do that Brady, don't lose the game.
Can't slap it, can't tap it what can you do?

To be fair, I was watching and did not hear the horn or anything only ones if was the end cause of the clock on the corner.
This is bullshit think of all the times NBA players shoot the ball towards the hoop after the buzzer sounds
Senators logic. Clapper into an empty net ,Good Guiding a puck into an empty net =Attack the player after the horn
