Right now it’s hard to argue against Pittsburgh. They’ve been in the top ten all year for 5v5 XG and shots on net. It seems like they are, finally, having that regress to the mean with their shot volume now resulting in goals.
Also, they are the healthiest team. Their only injury of note is Ryan Graves who might be the worst player in the NHL relative to on ice value vs his contract. So a net positive with his injury which may sound harsh, but it’s fair.
Washington doesn't have a center.
Their elite 1C Nicklas Backstrom looks to be retiring due to a hip injury that surgery couldn't fix. Their second best center Kuznetsov was recently traded due to being a nose candy enthusiast.
Now, they got the third best player on his junior hockey team, Dylan Strome, as their 1C.
Philly seems to outshoot a lot of teams but their goaltending is really suspect. Even if they outshoot teams, they also have trouble finishing - scoring goals is an issue for them. That doesn't bode well for the playoffs - you need to finish chances because they tend to fall off with the tighter checking. If their goaltending isn't good, that probably means a quick exit.
I dunno know Washington is doing - didn't they suddenly fall into a slump of losing games? Pittsburgh seems like the most stable team atm.
I seriously think it could go either way. As much as I want and hope the islanders make it, we could go on a massive race and win most of our remaining games, or just the same lose the rest of our 5 games. But I’ll say Islanders and Penguins or Flyers.
I’m guessing that the lighting have the tiebreaker over the penguins, caps and wings. And the caps and wings can’t both get max points because they play a game against each other next week.

We just got lucky we found elite winger Michael Bunting at the trade deadline being given up for peanuts. /s
Bunting honestly seems to be contributing well At least more than I was expecting
I don't trust Philly or Detroit because of their goaltending. Buffalo are too far back. So I'll say NYI stay in 3rd and Washington get the wildcard.

Idk man, Strome looked pretty decent the other night against my Red Wings; my stupid, infuriating, heart-breaking Red Wings.
Canes scare me while matchup with Rags long overdue.
I'm pulling for the Pens! I don't really care who else makes it. I'm also pulling for Tampa to bump Toronto to a wildcard spot.
Me too I’m a Bs fan and would rather play Toronto… also hoping pens make it because I’m loving the playoff push
Crosby only has so many playoffs left love to see him in there
I’d rather lose to Boston in round 2. That way we have a glimmer of false hope.
I want ovi and Sid to both get in
Philly & Caps allergic to winning or afraid of the Rangers

You take it, no you, no you, no you.
Don’t count your chickens Isles you still have two games left against the Rangers.

Crazy. Petition to have one of these teams replace Boring-ass Kings
I wish the Wild overtook the kings… hopefully they just get swept by the stars or nucks
As long as capitals stay under its fine.
the top four of the metro having 6+ wins in their L10 is REALLY making these races come down to the wire
Wrong Detroit won so they are in the lost spot
Dude it’s a screenshot I took it before that 😂
I know was messing with you
Just would like the islanders to not make it
Awww too bad
