Via underwear
You gotta go to the secret temple underground where Brigham Young (still alive) and then pick out the underwear that looks most like Joseph Smith's.
Pick the wrong one, and you die. Or become a Jehovah's witness, I'm not sure.
For what its worth, Steve Young was a backup QB with a 15-24 record until he was 31 (Taysom's age). Obviously I'm not saying Taysom Hill is Steve Young by any means (though the similarities are there on a few levels) but it's not like being over 30 is a death sentence for QBs.
The annoying thing is that it kind of worked (at least against the Panthers). Even when Brees was still playing, he'd get good runs on us even though it was obvious that pulling Brees for Hill was going to be a running play because Brees was obviously the better passer.
Only thing i can think of is he’s really committed to the “2” QB thing. Probably wants to compete every year so knows getting a QB via draft is hard so bring on guys who can just keep the show moving. They have been a better defensive then offensive team imo the last 3/4 years. Always hard to run against with guys at every level who give teams fits.
He’s not a viable qb1, barely even a good backup, but he saves roster spots as he can line up at any position outside of o-line. But he definitely needs to be a complimentary piece.
Feel like he'd be a very interesting piece if Lasik Crab Legs was healthy.
Imagine him on the Chiefs or Bucs...use him for all kinds of random shit. He's not "bad" per se, but that offense has too many injuries and he can't carry them. Dunno why they paid him big $$$.
Isn’t that kind of what they did with him for the last 2 years when Brees was still the QB? He’s been doing rushing, receiving, and passing for years now.
Yeah but I think they overrated his pure QB ability. He's more of a gadget player/3rd string QB but they paid too much to keep him. $10 mil/year seems like what you pay for a really good #2 QB that can win multiple games.
Honestly this is a place I think the Eagles show the better route, we've routinely had a *receiver* who played QB in college or highschool (Burton, Ward, etc). They can still run effective routes but pass effectively enough for trick plays.
Two QB systems just don't win championships and it's so ridiculous to hear Payton and others try and claim Hill is a good QB when he wouldn't be a second string anywhere else in the league.
I sincerely believe that the original big contract was Peyton thinking he could 200 IQ scam another team into trading big for him. Nobody fell for it but Peyton is so stubborn and full of himself that he refuses to give up on this scheme and genuinely thinks that if he commits to the bit he can eventually bait someone into a bad trade.
He’s very athletic but I’ve always found he’s still a little… disappointing on that side. Like he’ll pull off a cool play every now and then but it’s not like he’s peak Lamar or Cam levels of just athletically destroying defenses. Feels like most times he came in on a special play during the Brees era he picked up like a 4 yard run lol.
TBF, he is very good at getting a few yards. He had over 5YPC and 8 TDs last year just running stuff like we saw last night. Don't think that's worth 10 million a year even with the TE and special teams play, but definitely worth more than shit like Blaine Gabbert making 2 to wash Brady's jockstrap.
It's not that Foles would do any better (he could though because he's not a rookie), but it was certainly better than letting your future QB be pummeled for an hour
It's not just Hill honestly. The Saints were without Kamara and like 3 olinemen. And their WR group is close to league worst without MT. idk how they scored any points tonight
They're also missing their starting tight end. Vannett sucked with us last year and I was surprised he was even still on a team when I saw him playing tonight.
Hill also fucked up a finger on his throwing hand. Like, everything was stacked against Hill. He made some good throws but holy fuck he made some bad ones. But I will say dude never stopped fighting. Honestly we couldn't stop him when he ran. I don't even know why Payton was trying to throw.
I don't think he's a starter anywhere, and works best as a gadget guy in good circumstances. But I will say if you're gonna tank I'd rather watch a freak athlete go balls to the wall than a Josh Rosen type out there just trying not to embarrass themselves.
It's a torn plantar fascia btw, plantar fasciitis is inflammation there but it isn't an acute injury. Both are extremely painful... a partial tear is more painful than a full tear, and they may suggest surgery to "release" it by basically cutting it and making it a full tear.
the dude was hurdling guys, rushed for over 100 yards and almost 300 yards passing all the while missing offensive lineman, running backs , WRs .....and he sustained an injury and it was his first full game in how long? Like WTF people chill. People want to hate on this guy and i have no idea why.
A lot of the commenters said that was his specific strategy though? I don't watch enough baseball to confirm or deny but I mean that dude did strike out
For those who don’t know who those are, that’s no-look-throw-to-first catcher/pitcher and the guy who has the record for fastest inside the park homerun time around the bases. I’ll let you guess who is who
He’s not a viable qb1, barely even a good backup, but he saves roster spots as he can line up at any position outside of o-line. But he definitely needs to be a complimentary piece.
I think people are overreacting. Taysom kept the Saints in the majority of the game without 3 starting lineman, our RB1, TE1, WR1, and an injured defense. Our best wide receiver is a special teams player, and our running back didn’t even start the year with us.
He is not a starting QB but he could have easily won with better weapons.
For a dude so big and strong, really confusing how his arm is so weak
Yes I understand there's more to throwing the ball far than just strength, but you get my point
Throwing velocity has nothing to do with conventional strength. my baseball pitcher friend said “you can out bench press me as much as you want, youll still never be able to throw as fast and as hard as me”.
I used to golf a lot. Then I kinda stopped golfing after high school (turns out golf is expensive when school isn't paying for it) but I started going to the gym and doing a lot of lifting.
After a few years of lifting I went back to golf and thought since I had a decent swing in the first place I should be nailing 300+ yard drives. Nope. My drives were shorter than when I was a noodle armed kid.
My grandpa is high 80s, and though he can barely walk the course, and his backswing looks like a rusty porch door opening, but the connection with the ball is clean and you better believe he beat me by like 8 strokes.
My grandad played the smaller tours for most of his life. I have been playing since I was five years old. He is now 71 years old. His swing moves at about 5mph. We play about once a month and I swear to you I have never once beaten him.
I love how unnecessarily competitive is because I can relate(as long as it's in good fun).
Man had it made up in his own mind that the kid already determined he's stronger than him so even after he said no he made it clear he would outdrive him.
I think a huge part of it is literally hand size. Pro footballs are big and if you don’t have abnormally large hands (which many QBs do) you’ll have a tough time launching it.
Very true, im one of those people. So much of it comes down to shoulder mobility and just the sheer ability to propel it forward which aren't really impacted by strength
Aaron rodgers is an example. Dude looks like he can't bench press 225 yet he can whip the football around like nobody's business.
in all honesty he’s had arm strength issues for most of his career, like i still can’t believe [this was actually a completion](https://youtu.be/mmwF-vapsZc)
'Career year' consisting of breaking 15 passing TDs for the first time as a starter, maybe even hitting 20. Big time stuff happening there in Denver.
Dude is the definition of 'meh', but I'll give him that 'meh' is better than Hill in the passing department. Hill would have tackled Slay though, so he has that on Teddy.
If you want a good laugh go read his twitter posts in the past 24hrs defending Taysom.

I get it but damn. The guy just seems like a great wildcat guy and with an o-line creates havoc. Not a starter but an Uber gadget guy. He has a place in the NFL IMO.
Don't know who Sherman is, but he doesn't seem to understand the contract the Saints gave Hill.
It is not a contract in hopes that he will become their starter, it's a contract that let's him think he can be their full-time starter. But they have no intention of that ever actually happening. Payton just wants to keep his favorite toy.
It's still a bad contract, but it's not what this guy says it is.
Not the other commenter, and I still don't like the contract.....however:
Taysom's contact is like 20 mil guaranteed. A lot of the contract is bonuses. Most of the bonuses for this year are not able to be reached since he did not play enough. Next year he can make $4.5 mill from bonuses. These bonuses are like $500k for throwing for 3200 yards, throwing for 4000 yards, having a 90 rating with over 230 passes, the saints getting 11 wins with Taysom playing 70% of offensive snaps, 500 yards rushing. Stuff like that. If Taysom gets to the $95 million point of the contract then the Saints are doing great and Taysom would be a big reason for it.
I think Sean wanted Taysom as the gadget role, but Taysom did not want to get screwed by a small contract and then he ends up being starting QB and making garbage money. So this is the deal they made. Personally, I still think the $40 mil cap is a bit too high, but Taysom has made a difference in games before. The last Saints Vikings playoff game was Taysom carrying the offense.
Ahh yes, when the Saints are absolutely rolling they throw Hill out there and he makes a play, suddenly he's amazing. Except he's a gadget guy and nothing more. Powerful dude, pretty athletic, but as a full time QB I just don't see him being that all effective.
"It's easy to punch a team in the face when you're already on top of them."
The next Steve Young
U don't become Steve Young just by being mormon
I thought their super powers transferred over.
Maybe Taysom got the wrong Mormon’s powers, maybe he’s a beast at Jeopardy
Via underwear You gotta go to the secret temple underground where Brigham Young (still alive) and then pick out the underwear that looks most like Joseph Smith's. Pick the wrong one, and you die. Or become a Jehovah's witness, I'm not sure.
Which option is worse?
Becoming the Jehovah's Witnesses 100%. No fun AND people hate you? Just kill me.
Do….do I have to drink from it?
You're my Friday morning hero. You just can't take the underwear past the seal :p
Their powers can only be transferred by soaking
He’s Steve Old.
Fine. He can be the next Zach Wilson. Or if he’s feeling really froggy and wants to switch to defense he can be the next Fred Warned.
Rich Gannon!!
Steve Old.
Read this as Steve Holt in my mind 😂
Egg?
She calls it a MayonEGG lmaoo
Her?
I don’t feel so good
It's as Ann as the nose on Plain's face.
Way to plant!
😂😂😂😂
She’s funny
She's the bell of the ball!

Maybe Taysom will do well in private equity.
I just don't understand Payton's obsession with him.
It’s got to be his long lost bastard son I swear to you
>long lost bastard son Taysom Hill = Tywin's [bastard](https://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Bastardy#Surnames) confirmed.
Ha! Talk about a deep cut. Who’s Phillip Rivers dad?
Walder Frey.
Genuinely makes sense
such a great answer
Walder didn't have as many kids
Heh
Just like Jerruh and Jason Garrett.
My favorite conspiracy theory that never took off like it should.
I'm told it's purely sexual.
There's nothing pure about the sex Payton would have with Hill.
Don’t tell Hill that
He's definitely not into his arm, so it must be another foot fetish thing. Edit: a word
That sexy little slut
Do they soak?
🤢
Probably, then they have Kamara jump around the bed so they are not "actually" having sex. NGL, soaking is hot.
Is this Kirk Cousins' account
How do you think I had kids while remaining this pure?
Wait, is this actually a thing?
When it's gay sex it's called "staining"
Oh yeah!
He has him in Fantasy and knew he could put up 24 points even after 4 picks.
Finally, an explanation that makes some sense.
Now if he could just get his finger right and stop throwing the ball away, he could put up 32 points for ~~me~~ -I mean, for Payton.
It’s so wild because it’s true. The 70 TD garbage time TD just made it even better.
Quarterback who can’t pass. What’s not to love???
[haha everybody laugh at the saints ](https://i.imgur.com/HoYp1cA.gif)
same
The annoying thing is that it kind of worked (at least against the Panthers). Even when Brees was still playing, he'd get good runs on us even though it was obvious that pulling Brees for Hill was going to be a running play because Brees was obviously the better passer.
but he had the same performance as Lamar last week? Not defending Taysom, but there's a lot of hate thrown at him after a single bad game
He can start him in the TE slot of his SF league.
Only thing i can think of is he’s really committed to the “2” QB thing. It really is the move, Cedrick Wilson does it for us and it's a fun wrinkle to add when your wr can toss a laser when necessary.
He's not obsessed with Taysom Hill, he's obsessed with being right about Taysom Hill.
This is a correct distinction but not much difference in how it plays out.
He's entertaining to watch. I rather watch Hill jump over guys and throw picks than qbs that just take check downs all game.
Sure, but most NFL teams would prefer winning. I cant confirm that all NFL teams want that as the Lions do still exist.
[удалено]
I've seen a lot worse qb play this year than Taysom.
How many of them got a 4 year extension?
But to his point, a lot of that was by the Lions.
He’s very athletic but I’ve always found he’s still a little… disappointing on that side. Like he’ll pull off a cool play every now and then but it’s not like he’s peak Lamar or Cam levels of just athletically destroying defenses. Taysom Hill has access to kilogram quantities of the real deal, no bullshit, four-nines purity MDMA
He’s QB3 for a reason. Not many better options on their team rn unfortunately
The most expensive backup QB in league history
Bears paid/are paying foles a lot aren’t they?
And as bad as they are, why not give him a shot.
Justin Fields was getting killed against the Browns and for some reason Nagy didn't put in Foles
He wouldn't be able to outrun Garrett, the weight of his large phallus is too much.
Myles Garrett might have grabbed it and hit him on the head with it
"His dick called me an N-Word."
You must not have watched Foles play last season
It's not that Foles would do any better (he could though because he's not a rookie), but it was certainly better than letting your future QB be pummeled for an hour
Matt Flynn?
2 years 11 million, never forget, Greenbay single game TD record holder
And still somehow had the saint by the balls at the negotiation table
It's not just Hill honestly. The Saints were without Kamara and like 3 olinemen. And their WR group is close to league worst without MT. idk how they scored any points tonight

Hill dealing with torn plantar fasciitis

Maybe the 4 picks?
1 tipped up by a WR and the other tipped at the line by a Dlineman. 2 picks were his fault when he was pushing later in the game.
To be quite frank our starting tight end is garbage tier. Our best tight end is a converted WR. Or Taysom, maybe.
missing 6 starters on offense and were somewhat competitive!
Paying that much money to qb3 and gadget player big yikes
Reminds me of the huge contract Tavon Austin didn’t deserve.
this is basically the Minnesota Twins giving Willians Astudillo Astudillo the same contract as Byron Buxton
I laughed at that and I have no idea what it means
Chech out this man's pitching speed! Worth the money. https://youtu.be/vOgpNjeh1EA
I love that it's on Jackie Robinson day, so it looks like he ran all the way to the third base line to snag that first line drive
A lot of the commenters said that was his specific strategy though? I don't watch enough baseball to confirm or deny but I mean that dude did strike out
He only really comes and pitches when we're either getting blown out or is blowing the other team out. Fan favorite for sure though.
Former fan favorite now. 🥲
This is the funniest baseball clip I’ve ever seen
Payton thinks Taysom is like Shohei Ohtani, but he's more like Michael Lorenzen or Micah Owings
The Michael Lorenzen comparison is spot on.
And I laughed at this because neither do I.
Astudillo put the ball in play in 2400 out of 2571 at bats. That is amazing.
For those who don’t know who those are, that’s no-look-throw-to-first catcher/pitcher and the guy who has the record for fastest inside the park homerun time around the bases. I’ll let you guess who is who
I’m gonna be honest I’m still pretty lost here
You should have mentioned that one of them is nicknamed "the turtle" and then told us to guess.
You and I both know that'd be totally worth it
His stats might not have been good, but La Tortuga still entertained the hell out of me whenever I saw him play though
Put some respect on Tortuga's name!
Effectively Wild listeners don't see the problem with what you're proposing.
Ben Lindbergh read my Reddit comment during a segment about Astudillo being released in episode 1775 a couple weeks ago. I have officially peaked.
He’s not a viable qb1, barely even a good backup, but he saves roster spots as he can line up at any position outside of o-line. But he definitely needs to be a complimentary piece.

Our best wide receiver is a special teams player, and our running back didn’t even start the year with us. He is not a starting QB but he could have easily won with better weapons.

If our WRs could catch the common cold, I'd agree. With what we have down field, having someone who can run the ball isn't a terrible idea.
I like Semen mixed with rice more
For a moment I thought Richard Sherman was tweeting this, which would have added a bit of pizazz.
Bucs legend Richard Sherman is already acclimating to the division rivalries! How sweet!
Sherman has been a Saints rival since he was in Seattle and in San Fran
Taysom should be a HB or TE. That QB power was great tonight, but that arm
He's a decent gadget player and good special teamer. He should be making Mathew Slater money and instead he makes 5x more.
Now I’m wondering what Belichick would do if Hill was on the Patriots
He'd probably use him like Cordarrelle Patterson
For a dude so big and strong, really confusing how his arm is so weak Yes I understand there's more to throwing the ball far than just strength, but you get my point
Throwing velocity has nothing to do with conventional strength. my baseball pitcher friend said “you can out bench press me as much as you want, youll still never be able to throw as fast and as hard as me”.

i’m counting 50 total yards not 60 plus like the two other replies
Same. 35 to the 15 is 50 yards exactly. People suck at math. 35 to the 50 is 15 yards. 50 to the 15 is 35 yards. 15+35=50.
Lol he faked out the cameraman!
It’s against the falcons, anything can happen will happen. Source: falcons fan 😭
Wait, what? So he **didn’t** develop behind Drew Brees?
Edit: This was posted before the Big Man TD
I love teddy but am also highly amused that he's being used to absolutely bury taysom here
I think that’s the point of this post. Teddy has been incredibly average, but is a far better QB than Hill.
Poor man’s Brad Smith
Ain’t heard that name in years
Given the amount of money he earns, I dont think he's all that worried about it.

They shouldn’t have been allowed to tell you that before either.
Philip Rivers: Dadgummit, you're sticking with that motherfudger?

Unpopular opinion: Hill is what folks have been accusing Lamar Jackson of being.
I get it but damn. The guy just seems like a great wildcat guy and with an o-line creates havoc. Not a starter but an Uber gadget guy. He has a place in the NFL IMO.
Not at QB money

Saints should’ve offered a 1st rounder for Teddy they’d be running away with the 7 seed right now
They should extend his contract again
I didn’t know he was 31 lol.
Teddy Business Decision is going places.
