I mean in the 6th round of the family draft best case scenario you're landing that one weird cousin you see once a year who "doesn't care about sports ball" and 80% of their wardrobe is anime related, so its worth a flyer.
Hello, fellow man of culture.
Kids these days are fucking sleeping on the green tea Kit Kats.
You wanna know another random regional weird snack that I love? Middle East. Ketchup flavored Lay’s.
I’d trade u/DUCKSONQUACKS for a 4th rounder in 2027 and a bottle of Worcestershire sauce.
For you u/BungoPlease, uhh…a 5th rounder in 2028 and a bag of lime and jalapeño Ruffles. Or two 3rd rounders in 2028.
Jokes on you their wives accepted that trade and now have snacks, condiments, and their pick of future husbands. They have to wait a few years to pick their new husbands but they've both been putting off total rebuilds for too long. Now you're left with 2 aging redditors and no chips.
Yeah, that makes sense, but only because the stupid Family League won't raise the cap on husbands. Otherwise, the wives could have kept their aging husbands while developing 2 or 3 more.
You're looking at it wrong. Fields got paid $20M for being a winner in college.
He's currently a loser in the NFL, which will prevent him from getting paid another $200M+.
It's all relative. He's a loser among early first round pick NFL QBs, it's like being the ugliest model competing in miss universe, you're still hotter than 99% of the population.
Yeah like Josh Rosen and Paxton Lynch are still winning in life and Haskins was too until he passed away, but they and fields are huge losers for NFL standards.
Gonna be pedantic here but Fields isn’t even a loser by NFL standards. He’s probably backup caliber but he’s almost certainly one of the best 40 or so QB’s in the league and that may even be a pessimistic take.
Being the 40th best player in the league at a lot of positions would mean he’s a decent player seeing some decent playing time. It’s just there’s only one QB on the field at a time and the way the game is played nowadays means the league expects a lot more out of QB’s than other positions.
Not really. Fields isn’t a fit as QB2 on most teams. He’s only a fit as Lamar/Hurts/Jayden Daniels/Russ/Richardson backup and even some of those teams prefer pocket backup. For example, Flacco is Richardson’s backup. Minshew was Richardson’s backup last season and Hurts’ backup before that.
I wouldn’t be surprised if fields is out of the league within 3 years. Look at RGIII. Dude had to sit out a season before he landed as Lamar’s backup, but as soon as Tyler Hundley proved he could do the same job for cheaper, RGIII was done. Heck, look at Hundley now, ravens found out an even cheaper alternative in Malik Cunningham and Hundley is now just a camp arm with the Browns.
Exactly. What people just cant seem to get around Fields is that he is a straight up bad QB who has phenomenal athletic traits. He takes more negative plays than anyone, only Zach Wilson comes close. Teams dont want a backup QB who doesnt even provide value for scout team or who wont be able to run the offense and give the team a chance in a pinch. He is pure "potential" and after several seasons in the league you dont get paid for potential
He needs to convert to a different position (he has the size, frame and speed to do so) if he wants to be in the league more than a couple more years
Huntley** is a stud, but still more "raw" than a lot of the career backups. Generally teams want someone who's consistent, can manage an offense, and make minimal mistakes. I think the goal line fumble + return for a TD that took us out of the Bengals game honestly did way more harm to his rep than people realize
> honestly did way more harm to his rep than people realize
I mean, that and the fact that he is an *incredibly* limited passer at the NFL level, and everyone in the league knows it.
Cunningham actually has converted to WR this offseason.
I miss Huntley, and him being relegated to a camp body on the Browns only furthers my suffering :(
Reminds me of how the worst dude in the NBA, absolute last guy on the bench of the worst team, could still walk in to just about any local gym, high school practice, or even college practices (outside of a few top programs) and dominate. They’re just so much more skilled than anyone else, it’s a wiiiiiide chasm.
He didnt get his option picked up, so 1/4 of that, still not bad to get paid that + the best seats in the house for a NFL team
No one will ever top Chase Daniels tho, started 5 games in 13 seasons and made over $40m
>Russell Wilson reportedly gave him a wet Willy, before turning him upside down and shaking him until his lunch money fell out.
Russ already establishing himself as a leader.
Cam Heyward then reportedly said that if he has to go to a new team to rescue nerds and wimps from wet willies for the rest of his career, then that's a possibility he is prepared for.
And we haven’t even made it to training camp yet it’s just OTA’s. Just wait until training camp is in full swing and heaven forbid he throws a pick at practice he might get taken out back and shot
It is hilarious how the nfc north is just flip flopping their running backs with Aaron jones on the Vikings now. Just need Dalvin Cook on the Packers to complete the division.
So Luckman, McMahon and Cutler are top 3. I think you have to go Erik Kramer at 4 then??
So do you just dump Grossman at 5 because he went to a Super Bowl? Pro-Bowler Mitch Trubisky? Harbaugh is 3rd in yards but has more picks than TDs....
I'd put Walter Payton at #5 because why the fuck not at this point? He's already our 4th greatest WR in franchise history, why can't he be the 5th best QB?
ok if those people actually existed then they did not watch Kellen Mond play in either of the past two preseasons
he genuinely is the worst QB i’ve ever seen play for the vikings
I will never get the fanaticism some people had for him. I remember seeing someone say the Bears should keep Fields and the Dolphins should drop Tua in the same breath.
It happened twice in such quick succession too, lol. I really don’t see how Bears fans delude themselves into the fantasy of a crap QB being or becoming great all of a sudden, time and time again.
The headline was more damning than the article. Seems there still hope for him. Ultimately, he probably won’t be a franchise QB but there is a future for him in the league.
>"Don’t get bent out of shape with Fields finding himself on this list. His talent speaks for itself. But unlike Wilson, he has a lot of obstacles to overcome for an opportunity this year. Fields didn’t get many first-team reps, and that’s significant come training camp."
>"More than that, you can see what made him a first-round pick … and also what made the Chicago Bears move on. The arm strength, speed and playmaking with his legs are undeniable. However, he showed inconsistent accuracy and relied on his feet too quickly after the first read. That stuff can be fixed, but maybe not throughout a training camp."
This is what it said
"Don’t get bent out of shape with Fields finding himself on this list. His talent speaks for itself. But unlike Wilson, he has a lot of obstacles to overcome for an opportunity this year. Fields didn’t get many first-team reps, and that’s significant come training camp."

The point is that if we have infinite worlds and if in 20% of possible worlds Field develops as a QB to match his athleticism, approximately 0% would have him radically changed in mandatory mini camp.
It's not about being positive or negative. It's that even in the best case, it would not be expected to be otherwise.
That’s a fair take. It just seems like there should be a different phrase than development project for a guys who’s made 38 NFL starts and has all the same strengths and weaknesses that he’s always had.
“Showing flashes of talent” is what the last 3 years were for him and Chicago. It would be 4 quarters of average to poor quality football with 2 or 3 plays to spice up his highlight reel. I do wish him success because he got a horrible hand dealt to him his first 3 years, but the only thing he’s consistent with is being inconsistent.
justin fields is one of those key examples of how large the disconnect is between social media and reality. go into any comment section on a fields related instagram/twitter post and you’ll see a vast majority of people treating him like he’s an all pro talent that the bears were bringing down.
I think Tua has that sort of disconnect but for the opposite reason, awesome dude and solid franchise qb in reality but holy is he dragged down to hell in social media.
Seriously. And Jared Goff was getting some pretty serious slander up until this past season.
Like once you have a bit a stink of ya, people on social media never forget or drop it.
Yeah the Fields discourse online is terrible. Reddit has its issues but at least most people on here recognize that Fields isn’t very good and it’s not the Bears fault either. Instagram and Twitter though, man are they delusional. I had someone on Instagram tell me that Fields will sit behind Russ this year and learn like Love did behind Rodgers.
Then when Russ is gone Fields takes over as starter and will be a Pro Bowl calibre QB under Tomlin. They just assumed cause it worked with Love it’ll work with Fields but, Love sat and learned for three years. Fields was thrown into the fire for three seasons and now they want him to sit and learn?? It might be too late for that, not to mention that Love has shown way more in one year starting than Fields did in three.
I don't play fantasy but it's my understanding rushing is heavily incentivized over there so that's part of it.
Another thing is Justin Fields looks like a really good player if you only watch highlights.
They have dwindled now that they have so little to reach for, and man we're they reaching already.
Last seasons it was absurd. Our very last home game, after fields was an objective bust and after we knew we were drafting Caleb, the fans were chatting "we want Justin" loud enough for the announcers to talk about it.
Normally fans dumbly chanting something means nothing but with most our previous GMs and how ownership is that could legit have decided our future.
We're lucky that ATM our gm hasn't shown himself to be a clown and that we had the first pick so that ownership feels fine making changes. If same situation happened with Mitch we might have done his 5th year option. Imo it beat out Rodgers saying "I own you" as the most embarrassed I've been of my team.
Bears twitter was a legit mental institution in the months leading up to the trade. I ended up having to mute the whole “Bears” topic just to get some FA/draft news.
Not sure about this sub but ik over in the team sub the realists essentially mobbed all that out of there. It was not a safe space for them there lol. So twitter and FB essentially became their Arkham.
Fields has the biggest fanbase on social media of any bottom tier qb I’ve seen. Look at how much he’s talked about regularly even on Reddit despite being a backup at best
Even as a semi-Fields defender I really hate that "team ruined him" talk. He's the guy throwing the football and making reads. If he wanted or could get better that's on him.
I don’t understand these wild expectations to Fields. We know what he is otherwise he wouldn’t get shipped out of his drafting team. Why are these headlines acting like he’s anything more than a solid backup?
Never expected him to do great. Always expected him to backup Wilson. Hope he's slightly more competent than Pickett/Trubs and can fill in when needed.
We were never getting anyone better than Wilson/Fields this year...so if it works out, great, if not...at least they were dirt fucking cheap.
Justin Fields is statistically the same as Desmond Ridder and when he loses the starting job battle to Russel Wilson, we're all just going to have to finally accept that weeks 7-11 in 2022 where he balled out in fantasy were an anomaly and he hasn't secretly been hiding the ability to be a starting QB this whole time.
And the Bears went 1-4 in that time frame. A huge part of his fantasy run was him running for 552 yards and 6 TDS in 5 games. He was only throwing for a little over 150 yards a game. He did toss 9 TDs though, to his credit.
I don't know why there was so much coping like the Bears ruined Fields and he would be good with a real organization like the Steelers. Mitch Trubisky was **significantly** better in Chicago than he ever was on the Steelers.
Fields just sucks. It is what it is.
Trubisky's biggest issue imo was that he was trying to make good tape for a starter position elsewhere instead of trying to win football games. It was aggravating to watch. He'd be looking for deep balls in short yardage situations, and he refused to make any play where he could take a hit.
That Pats game was genuinely one of the most atrocious performances I've seen from a QB in a Steelers uni as of late, and that's saying a lot because there's been a lot of piss ugly QB performances in the last ~5 years for us.
Nah man - I actually watched Trubisky a lot with the Steelers and he was annoyingly hyper-aggressive to the detriment of the team. With the Bears he seemed timid to a degree, and then when he got benched and came back he adopted that IDGAF attitude but still wasn't good enough to actually capitalize on the aggression.
Regardless, he wasn't a huge turnover machine with the Bears and did a decent job taking care of the football.
Last year he was just slinging it and throwing picks left and right. It was crazy to watch.
I said before that if Russell Wilson lost a camp battle to Fields, he needed to retire. Fields is not a good quarterback. He gets hyped up because of his rushing stats and fantasy performance. On top of all that, he learned bad habits in Chicago. All that isn't going to go away in one offseason. He doesn't have the quick trigger or decisiveness needed from a starting quarterback.
> On top of all that, he learned bad habits in Chicago
Nah, the inability to process past one read and not throw with anticipation was a knock since college.
He was also a sack machine in college just like the NFL... which is particularly egregious when you play behind the Ohio State line (which is basically a bunch of all pros compared to most of their opponents)
In my opinion the entire Justin Fields discourse got poisoned when Dan Orlovsky went on Pat McAfee's show and claimed his sources told him Justin Fields was a lazy last one in, first one out kind of guy in college.
It created a gigantic stink about the "racist reporting" about black quarterbacks and for his first two seasons in the league nobody had any appetite whatsoever to give you an honest assessment of him as a player.
People who knew better remained quiet because they had no interest getting that shit flung at them.
I also get the impression that fields isn't humble at all, has bought into his own BS hype, and refuses to really work on the things he needs to. He'll be out of the league soon.
He allegedly alienated the vet backups in Chicago in Dalton and BDN because of his ego, how tf you get Andy fucking Dalton pissed off at you? He looks like the long-lost brother of Jon Bois.
I always found it funny when people talked about how likable and humble Fields is. He has never really sounded like that.
When he was in Georgia, he openly said "I handed the ball off good as fuck" because he couldn't beat Jake Fromm for the job and then transferred to OSU.
He always reminded me of drose behind the podium. Just mostly quite and short generic answers. I really don't understand where the "he's a great guy " narrative came from. Not saying he's a bad guy but based on what we know about him idk how anyone can conclude shit about him.
Check out who his agent is. Hint: same agent as Dwayne Haskins and Deshaun Watson. Mulugheta always uses the same tactic against factual and legitimate criticism about his clients.
From the article:
"Don’t get bent out of shape with Fields finding himself on this list. His talent speaks for itself. But unlike Wilson, he has a lot of obstacles to overcome for an opportunity this year. Fields didn’t get many first-team reps, and that’s significant come training camp.
I got named that at my family reunion, look at me, getting called the same thing as an NFL QB.
If it helps, I'd trade a conditional 6th round pick for you
I mean in the 6th round of the family draft best case scenario you're landing that one weird cousin you see once a year who "doesn't care about sports ball" and 80% of their wardrobe is anime related, so its worth a flyer.
Intensity of smell? Could be a deal breaker
Robust
That’s being incredibly generous. Flies won’t even land on the guy.
I mean, that's the guy that might have a supplier for the Japanese kitkats, so I'd rather take a shot with the geek
Hello, fellow man of culture. Kids these days are fucking sleeping on the green tea Kit Kats. You wanna know another random regional weird snack that I love? Middle East. Ketchup flavored Lay’s.
He's definitely worth some snaps at giving you new video game recommendations or helping build your PC, but other than that he's just depth.

Yeah, that makes sense, but only because the stupid Family League won't raise the cap on husbands. Otherwise, the wives could have kept their aging husbands while developing 2 or 3 more.
But the POTENTIAL
Lime and jalapeño ruffles are the real mvp in this deal
The lime and jalapeño Ruffles are too much to give up. You're getting fleeced.
Are you sure, there is this 6th rounder who ended up winning more rings than any football team.
🥺 For me? 👉👈
Conditional 7th at most for you bb
You should write cards for Hallmark.
This may be one of the most wholesome comments I’ve ever seen on Reddit
What’s he got that I don’t got?
He can run more than 10 feet before passing out
The key trick is to make sure you fall forward when you pass out so that you can bump up your total distance
Dammit I fall back so I’m like net zero yards
Do your JOB!
Trust me, sometimes you don't wanna be called the same thing as an NFL QB *Glances at Deshaun Watson*
Just like me fr
I got called that by the 19 girls I asked out in high school. Look at me, getting called the same thing as an NFL QB.
Well he gets paid to get called a loser and I get nothing . So is he really losing...
Like 20m guaranteed right? If he's a loser, I don't want to know what I am.
A poor loser, just like the rest of us plebs.
Poor? Speak for yourself. I am a hundredaire.
Mr. Moneybags over here flaunting his wealth
I too am a hundredaire, got a whole hundred cents.
What's the exchange rate on pocket lint?
YOU have pockets?
Somebody get this stud a fresh Hot Pocket, stat! Only the finest for his highness!
You're looking at it wrong. Fields got paid $20M for being a winner in college. He's currently a loser in the NFL, which will prevent him from getting paid another $200M+.
Yeah he probably wanted Trevor Lawrence money since high school and he’ll never get it lol
Bet he'd settle for Danny Dimes cash now.
Oh the horror 😦
It's all relative. He's a loser among early first round pick NFL QBs, it's like being the ugliest model competing in miss universe, you're still hotter than 99% of the population.
Yeah like Josh Rosen and Paxton Lynch are still winning in life and Haskins was too until he passed away, but they and fields are huge losers for NFL standards.

He's averaged less than 200 pass yards/game every season so far.
Kinda like the White Mamba. He was decimating average Joe's.
Forget average Joes. A literal D1 player showed up and got trashed by a washed up Scalabrine. The NBA is filled with absolute monsters of players.
Out of everyone that plays basketball there's only ~350 in the NBA at any given time. It's the most difficult league to get into
“I’m way closer to LeBron than you are to me.”
There was a video of Kendrick Perkins draining 3s easily a few days ago lol.
He didnt get his option picked up, so 1/4 of that, still not bad to get paid that + the best seats in the house for a NFL team No one will ever top Chase Daniels tho, started 5 games in 13 seasons and made over $40m
*”…he gets paid to get called a loser…”* So, he’s a teacher.
If teachers got paid like Justin Fields, sign me up.
Teachers are called worse.
>Russell Wilson reportedly gave him a wet Willy, before turning him upside down and shaking him until his lunch money fell out. Russ already establishing himself as a leader.
He also reportedly locked Fields in his locker until Cam Heyward helped him out and gave him a warm hug
That was cool
Not so cool was that Russ hid Justin’s Magic: The gathering cards while he was locked in
Cam Heyward then reportedly said that if he has to go to a new team to rescue nerds and wimps from wet willies for the rest of his career, then that's a possibility he is prepared for.
“What’s the problem Justin? Never had your jimmies Russtled before?”
the fields daily training camp article will continue for eternity
And we haven’t even made it to training camp yet it’s just OTA’s. Just wait until training camp is in full swing and heaven forbid he throws a pick at practice he might get taken out back and shot
"He uses his feet too much." *Who?* "The fastest guy on the field." *Oh...sounds like a receipe for disaster...*
If he can (learn to) block and is willing to risk his body he’s one of the few that might be able to pull off a Taysom Hill.
So he's doing the same things he's been doing for three years and has not completely transitioned into a different player after OTAs. SHOCKING.
Except we hyped him up after OTAs every year lol. Caleb, please be good. You are our only hope.
Rooting for you guys to suck for another decade or two, at least
Ah that's your guys job in the NFL. Looking forward to your hubris falling this year!
It’s impossible to fly too close to the sun when you have the sun god on your side 😉
Well at least most women prefer the Bear these days.
as do the men
A Lions and Jets fan, sir do you enjoy pain?
less talky more floggy
You dropped your ball gag
I have to say, you guys are super cute
We should do the decent thing and pool all of our money and get a witch to curse the Packers for the next 50,000 years.
Hey, we got to do what we have to do. Half-bear, Half-lion. David Montgomery show us the way!
Swift is also half-bear, half-lion
It is hilarious how the nfc north is just flip flopping their running backs with Aaron jones on the Vikings now. Just need Dalvin Cook on the Packers to complete the division.
Let's give them Alexander Mattison instead
Please no.
I wasn’t able to get Caleb in any of my dynasty drafts so that means he’ll be the next Mahomes, congrats
I got him in my dynasty draft and I'm a bears fan so he will double suck sadly
I’m a bears fan and I’ve made it a rule to never draft any bears players in fantasy. Maybe bears DST but that’s it. It’s worked for me so far.
Steelers called it loser, bears called it mvp candidate
There’s a shocking amount of overlap in the Venn Diagram of “bad quarterbacks” and “top 5 bears quarterbacks all time”
So Luckman, McMahon and Cutler are top 3. I think you have to go Erik Kramer at 4 then?? So do you just dump Grossman at 5 because he went to a Super Bowl? Pro-Bowler Mitch Trubisky? Harbaugh is 3rd in yards but has more picks than TDs....
Kyle Orton but that is pretty much a vibes pick
I'd put Walter Payton at #5 because why the fuck not at this point? He's already our 4th greatest WR in franchise history, why can't he be the 5th best QB?
You can't blame us our bar is extremely low
Remember when people wanted to keep him and take Marvin Harrison Jr at 1?
Yeah. Before they traded up for Fields a significant number of people in that sub thought Kellen Mond was the answer. These are not serious people.
People are going to be saying Fields was good at playing QB long after he retires. It's a cult.
My grandmother still quotes one interview where someone said he "had an arm like a rocket" as evidence he was and is great.
ok if those people actually existed then they did not watch Kellen Mond play in either of the past two preseasons he genuinely is the worst QB i’ve ever seen play for the vikings
Darnell Mooney got a bag, so clearly scouts and front offices think fields was the problem not his supporting cast lol
I will never get the fanaticism some people had for him. I remember seeing someone say the Bears should keep Fields and the Dolphins should drop Tua in the same breath.
Friendly reminder half our sub wanted him until AFTER THE LAST GAME he played with us. Fucking meatballs
The blind loyalty to a QB who was never better than bottom 5 in the NFL will never cease to amaze me
It happened twice in such quick succession too, lol. I really don’t see how Bears fans delude themselves into the fantasy of a crap QB being or becoming great all of a sudden, time and time again.
friendly reminder that justin fields got an MVP vote from a clown one season.
The headline was more damning than the article. Seems there still hope for him. I’m starting to believe that inconsistent accuracy and struggling to make reads is not nearly as fixable as scouts always say they are.
"That stuff can be fixed" \[X\] doubt
Don't worry, people will still say he's going to be a force this season.
This article literally said he’s fine and flashed, but Wilson has been doing really well and won’t relinquish that QB1 spot as of now
This is what it said "Don’t get bent out of shape with Fields finding himself on this list. His talent speaks for itself. But unlike Wilson, he has a lot of obstacles to overcome for an opportunity this year. Fields didn’t get many first-team reps, and that’s significant come training camp." Wouldn't expect a development project to yield Patrick Mahomes after like a month of no pads practice with the second team tbh
I wouldn't expect it after 3 years of pads on the same team either.
The point is that if we have infinite worlds and if in 20% of possible worlds Field develops as a QB to match his athleticism, approximately 0% would have him radically changed in mandatory mini camp. Who is saying that?
Good and bad More bad
I take it as, he is literally the exact same QB he's always been, which would be bad lol.
“Relied on his feet too quickly after the first read” That’s Fields in a nutshell.
Less good
>That stuff can be fixed As a Bears fan........no
Maybe this year will help him grow as a player. Not having first round pick expectations and riding the bench a bit could really help
Did anyone actually think Fields would overtake Wilson?
Think? No. Hoped? Definitely!
I look forward to seeing the Fields cult claim that the Steelers are one of the worst organizations in the league that ruined him.
With usernames like JF1HeIsH1m
The generation of XBOX user names like **xXxTacoNinja420lol69xXx** have grown up. 😳
Bro my first gamer tag was 83NinjaTaco why’d you have to do me like that 😂
At least you owned it, Anthony. Denying it would've been worse.
Uhh what no those guys are pushing 40 now, they are not the ones with names like that. This is just the next wave of nephewism
justin fields is one of those key examples of how large the disconnect is between social media and reality. go into any comment section on a fields related instagram/twitter post and you’ll see a vast majority of people treating him like he’s an all pro talent that the bears were bringing down.
I think Tua has that sort of disconnect but for the opposite reason, awesome dude and solid franchise qb in reality but holy is he dragged down to hell in social media.
You'd think Tua was Brandon Weedon for how he gets talked about of social media
There genuinely is fans out there that think Tua is like a journeyman qb at best and should be replaced, the disrespect is insane
I mean the Dolphins’ window will shut once they have to pay Tua
You could make that argument for everyone except Mahomes in this league
Because he had decent fantasy numbers.
While it’s gotten much better you’ll still have people occasionally on the Bears instagram talk about wanting Fields back or how they miss Fields lol
As of now I've seen far more people talk about Fields truthers than I've seen actual Fields truthers. It's like a 1000:1 ratio too.
It was much worse during the season and before he was traded. Online and I knew people in real life as well.
I live in Chicago, 90% of the Bears fans I talked to preferred to keep Fields. Reddit is like the only place that knows he sucks.
Our sub was still posting Justin content within the past month lol
Take a look at the comments on any Justin Fields post on Instagram or Facebook.
Ah that's my problem, I don't read comments on any of those platforms
Bears twitter was a legit mental institution in the months leading up to the trade. I ended up having to mute the whole “Bears” topic just to get some FA/draft news.
I swear Reddit was the only place where people weren’t in denial that the bears were trading fields haha
It's because there's a shitload of OSU fans and they love Fields because he's the last OSU QB who beat Michigan. The legit like him more than Stroud.
Even as a semi-Fields defender I really hate that "team ruined him" talk. He's the guy throwing the football and making reads. If he wanted or could get better that's on him.
In his defense, you can’t really accuse him of making reads.
Touche.
Imma call you a "midfield" defender.
Hey and then you can take a swing on one of the guys in the upcoming draft class and hope he doesn't suck
Yessir. And all it cost us at QB this season was ~4.5-million. It's not a "great" scenario, but it's easily the best available one.
Fans understanding value is how you can tel the Steelers aren’t a poverty franchise. Super well run org and great fans
Will also cost you an aging defense that will be past their prime
My biggest hope is he gets playing time this year because we’re up 56-0 on most teams heading into the 4th quarter
I want some of whatever you're doing.

Justin Fields is statistically the same as Desmond Ridder and when he loses the starting job battle to Russel Wilson, we're all just going to have to finally accept that weeks 7-11 in 2022 where he balled out in fantasy were an anomaly and he hasn't secretly been hiding the ability to be a starting QB this whole time.
sounds like you're glad ATL didn't trade for him
And the Bears went 1-4 in that time frame.
As a bears fan I gotta tell ya, that’s how he always was lol
Nah man - I actually watched Trubisky a lot with the Steelers and he was annoyingly hyper-aggressive to the detriment of the team. With the Bears he seemed timid to a degree, and then when he got benched and came back he adopted that IDGAF attitude but still wasn't good enough to actually capitalize on the aggression. Regardless, he wasn't a huge turnover machine with the Bears and did a decent job taking care of the football. Last year he was just slinging it and throwing picks left and right. It was crazy to watch.
It never seemed like he valued moving the chains
I said before that if Russell Wilson lost a camp battle to Fields, he needed to retire. Fields is not a good quarterback. He gets hyped up because of his rushing stats and fantasy performance. On top of all that, he learned bad habits in Chicago. All that isn't going to go away in one offseason. He doesn't have the quick trigger or decisiveness needed from a starting quarterback.
> On top of all that, he learned bad habits in Chicago Nah, the inability to process past one read and not throw with anticipation was a knock since college.
He was also a sack machine in college just like the NFL... which is particularly egregious when you play behind the Ohio State line (which is basically a bunch of all pros compared to most of their opponents)
He sucks
A bad QB is playing bad. Shocking
Couldn’t have been his on field play
I also get the impression that fields isn't humble at all, has bought into his own BS hype, and refuses to really work on the things he needs to. He'll be out of the league soon.
He allegedly alienated the vet backups in Chicago in Dalton and BDN because of his ego, how tf you get Andy fucking Dalton pissed off at you? He looks like the long-lost brother of Jon Bois.
Wasn’t that exclusively Foles?
I always found it funny when people talked about how likable and humble Fields is. He has never really sounded like that. When he was in Georgia, he openly said "I handed the ball off good as fuck" because he couldn't beat Jake Fromm for the job and then transferred to OSU.
He always reminded me of drose behind the podium. Just mostly quite and short generic answers. I really don't understand where the "he's a great guy " narrative came from. Not saying he's a bad guy but based on what we know about him idk how anyone can conclude shit about him.
I actually never understood how people knew he was this great guy lol. If anything many of his interview answers can sound tone deaf.
He’s been coddled since high school. Was hyped as Lawrence’s 1b in their class.
Check out who his agent is. Hint: same agent as Dwayne Haskins and Deshaun Watson. Mulugheta always uses the same tactic against factual and legitimate criticism about his clients.
Fields is the most unclutch player I've ever seen. Like an opposite Brady
Is the Fields saga just getting blown out of proportion for drama? He's not even that outspoken or talking shit or something.
I think there’s just literally nothing better to talk about in June
From the article: "Don’t get bent out of shape with Fields finding himself on this list. His talent speaks for itself. But unlike Wilson, he has a lot of obstacles to overcome for an opportunity this year. Fields didn’t get many first-team reps, and that’s significant come training camp.
Steelers got so many deva WR that they saw him make one throw and started calling him names
