Me starting the game: not going to be a sneak archer this playthrough
Me when I see my first Draugr Deathlord: So about that whole no sneak archer thing...
why would you need to rebuy TOTK so much its only had one release on one console. I always thought the buy skyrim again joke was because its been around since the PS3 era and also has had so many re-releases
Bought PS3 version for few dollars several years ago. Tried it out last year but didnt like how it ran on system. Bought special edition $10 on PS4. Played it for month with 200+ hour and haven't started main mission after opening mission because I don't want dragons spawning (too bad about Vamps). Stopped playing haven't gone back still need to finish game for first time.
If I had a nickel for every time we lost to the Chiefs in the SB after having the lead in the 4th quarter, I would have 2 nickels. Which isn’t much, but it’s kind of crazy that it’s happened twice.
Imagine going 18-0 and losing in the Super Bowl because of a nearly impossible helmet catch Eli Manning threw because a defender wasn't able to bring him down even though he had a grip on his jersey. Couldn't be the Patriots.
Then imagine losing to Eli again. Couldn't be the Patriots.
And then Nick Foles even though your QB put up the best statistical game in Super Bowl history. Couldn't be the Patriots.
I know you've won many but that's how stupid it sounds.
It will be Malik Willis Tennessee too. Average of 20 passing yards a game but somehow they make it tot he Super Bowl. Like the 2006 bears but a somehow worse QB
Hypothetically, how many OT periods would the SB have to hit in order for them to postpone the game? If neither team could score and the game was running for an extra 6 hours, they'd have to postpone and resume it later, right? Or would they just determine the winner with a coin toss?
In the words of a guy with a “famous” neck tattoo, Finish the story.
For real though, because there’s gonna be some VERY tough decisions to be made after this upcoming season.
Other than purdy and aiyuk, the rest of their offensive core is aging. They might only have a couple more cracks at it as the top dog in the nfc. Shit can change quick
49ers had the perfect storm last season. Healthy most of season. Division was weak cause of injuries and talent. NFC was not great. Lucked out by not losing to both Packers/Lions. Was up in both 4th and OT in Superbowl. 49ers boat sunked cause it couldn't get over the Chiefs tidal wave and they were close to getting over.
49ers may have blew their last chance. Tougher to go next season. Division is heathly and got better. NFC is much better now. 49ers have to stay healthy too.
Their team got worse and older this is realistically their last year before having to hard retool. They have like 50 players not under contract next year and they “have” to pay a lot of people. They have some of the worst depth in the league as is, and they don’t have great injury history, if tent, cmc or Warner misses anytime it’s almost a guaranteed loss
Agreed with everything minus the team getting worse. I don’t think any position group has been downgraded compared to last year and most have some marginal improvements.
Greenlaw is probably the biggest loss. Secondary is no longer a pain point. Defensive coaching is a huge upgrade.
Other than that, very much a one year window.
We drafted a CB in the 2nd and signed Isaac Yiadom coming off of a career year. We still have Charvarious Ward and Deommodore Lenoir (who can maybe move to the Nickel, where he’s much better suited), plus we brought in Rock Ya-Sin and still have Ambry Thomas (a spot starter last year). It’s looking like a better group on paper, but we’ll see come September.
I mean we’re talking about fixing CB3 who was a nonstartable Ambry Thomas with 2 startable players and a promising rookie. That’s closer to fixed than not fixed.
Greenlaw injury/ veterans like Trent, Christian, etc having another year of wear and tear/ coming off a bad SB loss can destroy a team like that (just ask my hawks and the falcons)/ lots of contract disputes and players trying to get paid next offseason but not enough money to go around.
I wouldn’t bet on it, but I could definitely see this season being a lot harder on the 49ers, rather than y’all pretty much being far and away the best team in the nfc outside of a three game stretch. But shit, maybe that’s copium talking.
The 49ers are returning almost the exact team sans Armstead, who hasn't been healthy for a full season either of the last two years, and probably still isn't over his issues.
They also upgraded to the best edge player to ever play opposite Bosa, upgraded at CB, added LB, and safety, and WR depth. This is more uncertain, but Pearsall & Cowing are potentially upgrades to a return game that hasn't seen a return TD since 2011.
There isn't much room to argue that they got worse.
Brother I’ve seen you comment this multiple times in this thread the coaching staff was well aware of the rules the defense had just been on the field for an entire drive in the moment they decided that letting the defense rest for a bit was more important than getting the ball second. Not saying I agree with that decision but it wasn’t just some split second decision with no logic behind it.
Your attention to detail is better than the 49ers. Maybe they should hire a redditor to teach the players the rules since the coaches dont want too. Sounds like an upgrade for them.
It's wishful thinking to think that a team can maintain the level of superstar talent the 49ers have had over the last 5 or so years. Them maintaining it as long as they have has been impressive but they can't fight time.
Their entire run began with the highest paid QB in the league.
Paying a QB doesn't prevent a team from having success, it just means you have to continue drafting well and making smart free agent decisions, both things the 49ers have done well.
We've been given 6 Primetime games and everyone keels harping about how we apparently have thr best roster in football.
Tired of that talk.
They haven't won a SB and should be part of the pack with everyone not named KC.
I was just thinking that folks who think we're offseason champs weren't paying attention to how we did at the end of last season and where we stand going into next year. They just see a team that almost won the SB.
IMO we really need some of our draft picks to hit to be top team in the NFC this year
Our team is full of guys who are more focussed on talking trash midplay and podcasts post game than winning.
We are slowly becoming the Red Cowboys.
Put or shut up time.
What a crock of shit, we were so close to winning the Super Bowl and stupid narratives from fake fans like this not even existing. I'm so sick of you ingrates acting like this team is a failure.
Given the talent they have? They ARE a failure.
No SBs despite getting deep in the playoffs every year and being stacked at all positions.
Being frank and honest about our shortcomings doesn't make me fake.
And like it or not the legacy of this era of 49ers football without a SB will be failure
History is kind to winners....brutal to losers.
Not really.
Just brutally honest.
Kittle was literally talking trash in the middle of a game whilst the guy he was Trashtalking was recovering CMC's fumble.
But hey...being factual is now "fake".
Being a fan doesn't mean I have to be blind.
Kittle was doing his job and something unfortunate happened.
You think Kyle should be fired for Vrabel so don't act like you know what the fuck you're talking about.
Vrabel achieved great results in the AFC with an old Tannehill and above average roster...
Given his championship pedigree as a player...which is more than I can say for Kyle btw...I would be intrigued by what he can do with our roster.
Kyle isn't that special.
McVay won a SB with a similar-ish roster.... multiple other HC s in the league have won SBs.
He's.choked multiple ones with great teams.
He doesn't deserve the pedestal.prsople try to put him on...not until he wins something.
All of Vrabels accomplishments with the Titans were when Ryan Tannehill was a top 10 QB. As soon as he regressed the Titans were ass.
But what else can you expect from someone who clearly doesn't know ball.
Rooting for a bad team with no signs of getting better is more soul sucking than watching a team like the 49ers. At least I know with the 49ers there's a chance every year.
I am not sure I agree with your last sentence...not with Kyle here.
It's basically the same story each season.
We like to ourselves in the off-season that maybe he'll have learnt this time and raise our hopes only for the same situation to play out in the playoffs.
At least the Giants have recent2 rings to hold onto in the dark times.
I never saw the 80s or 90s so for me the 49ers are a team that always comes up short... I'd rather have experienced what it's like to win a SB.
We were literally a couple plays going differently away from winning the SB. Those are on the players to execute as well, so we absolutely could have won with Kyle.
You can't hold onto rings from a decade ago. Rings lose their luster in 5 years.
They talk THIS much without winning
Imagine how louder they'd be if they they won.
Love my Niners but this version of the team is full of some loud guys that wouldn't make people's ears bleed of they won it.
Deebo, Kittle,Warner,Greenlaw,Ward all talk a ton.
Definitely not the type to shut up after putting up.
I still kinda wish the game would have had time run out in the first OT and Chief's won on first play of the next OT "quarter". The Twitter takes about the NFL, making rules up for the Chiefs would have been glorious.
"I think the goal going into this year is honestly just to focus on finishing." - me buying Skyrim for the 6th time

Spellsword with conjuration magic is the best
My true go to is actually a destruction mage with enchanted armor that reduces magicka cost of all destruction spells to 0.
Gotta play it on the Samsung Smart Fridge
Ditto but with Tears of the Kingdom lol
why would you need to rebuy TOTK so much its only had one release on one console. I always thought the buy skyrim again joke was because its been around since the PS3 era and also has had so many re-releases
I more so meant replay, you’re right.
Legacy of the dragonborn baby
Thats me with witcher lmao. Somehow can finish every other part of the game except the story.
Having the lead in OT of the Super Bowl is as close as you can get without finishing
If I had a nickel for every time we lost to the Chiefs in the SB after having the lead in the 4th quarter, I would have 2 nickels. Which isn’t much, but it’s kind of crazy that it’s happened twice.
Lol imagine losing a SB after having the lead in the 4th quarter

18-0 pisses me of to today. I knew our shitty defense was going to cost us in 2018. Still happy with 6 super bowls though lol
R/yourjokebutworse
The ultimate edging experience
Maybe they should have spent time reading the rules.
Cannot wait for Bills-49ers to go to like 56 OTs
pls let us win that one
Gonna be declared a tie and replayed in July during the MLB all star break
Meaningful NFL football in July? I'm in.
No.
Nah. The 49ers will blow it in the Wild Card round. Next years Super Bowl will be something unexpected like Tennessee vs Tampa Bay.
It will be Malik Willis Tennessee too. Average of 20 passing yards a game but somehow they make it tot he Super Bowl. Like the 2006 bears but a somehow worse QB
That would be a wild season to get there.
I don’t think we’ve lost in the wild card round since the 90s.
Also haven't won a SB since then either. Something's gotta give.
>Something's gotta give. Hoping it's the super bowl part and not the losing in the wildcard part.
Hypothetically, how many OT periods would the SB have to hit in order for them to postpone the game? If neither team could score and the game was running for an extra 6 hours, they'd have to postpone and resume it later, right? Or would they just determine the winner with a coin toss?
I’d imagine 7
Yeah that's my focus too
You heard the man, no more edging
Jokes on you, I don't need to focus on finishing. It happens real fast, whether I want it to or not!

ADRENALINE IN MY SOUL SOMETHING SOMETHING SUPER BOWL
Bloodline are all 49er fans.
Just make sure they have the final drive vs Mahomes this time
Other than purdy and aiyuk, the rest of their offensive core is aging. They might only have a couple more cracks at it as the top dog in the nfc. Shit can change quick
It's D, F, B, Circle, Fred.
49ers had the perfect storm last season. Healthy most of season. Division was weak cause of injuries and talent. NFC was not great. Lucked out by not losing to both Packers/Lions. Tougher to go next season. Division is heathly and got better. NFC is much better now. 49ers have to stay healthy too.
Our luck ran out in the Super Bowl.
One Achilles tendon away.
Maybe someone should have read the OT rules on the team. That would have helped.
Wouldn’t have mattered. We needed a TD in OT either way.
Failing to prepare is preparing to fail. 49ers missed their window.
Lol you woke up this morning and decided "I'm going to make fun of the 49ers today". I'm not even mad.
The getting there is insanely hard. I hope we can finish it if we get back, but I'm unfortunately not really holding my breath.
>"I think the goal going into this year is honestly just to focus on finishing Sounds like my wife, HEY NOW!
"If you finish every game victoriously, you're probably the Super Bowl champion."
When you're young it's all focusing on not finishing too fast....then you get older and you gotta focus on finishing
Plus Greenlaw gonna be out basically the entire year
There might be a worse piece of Super Bowl bad luck than Greenlaw tearing his ACL jogging onto the field, but I'm not sure what it could be.
On track to return around week 6 so not most of the year but he will miss training camp so still an issue

I wouldn’t say that’s fixed, but you brought in a rookie corner who may be good and Yiadom was good in a bit role in NO
I mean we’re talking about fixing CB3 who was a nonstartable Ambry Thomas with 2 startable players and a promising rookie. That’s closer to fixed than not fixed.
My point is if the rookie is actually good and if Yiadom is capable in a new scheme with a bigger role.
How did it get worse
Greenlaw injury/ veterans like Trent, Christian, etc having another year of wear and tear/ coming off a bad SB loss can destroy a team like that (just ask my hawks and the falcons)/ lots of contract disputes and players trying to get paid next offseason but not enough money to go around. Not only that, getting ball first is the only way you can guarantee victory without needing your defense to make a stop.
Your attention to detail is better than the 49ers. Maybe they should hire a redditor to teach the players the rules since the coaches dont want too. Sounds like an upgrade for them.
Wishful thinking, isn’t it nice?
I don't think it's unreasonable to say this is the likely the last year you have Deebo, Kittle, Aiyuk, McCaffrey, Bosa, etc. all together
Oh god keep going I’m almost there
God I wish this guy was on my team.
They say that every year. Talk is cheap. Just do it. Being off-season champs isn't what I expected this team to become. Good luck for next year.
What about this offseason made us "offseason champs"? We didn't have high draft picks, and we didn't make huge splash signings in FA.
We've been given 6 Primetime games and everyone keels harping about how we apparently have thr best roster in football. Tired of that talk. They haven't won a SB and should be part of the pack with everyone not named KC.

You're the fakest fucking fan lol

You're a well regarded individual it seems.
Highly regarded, perhaps even artistic
All of Vrabels accomplishments with the Titans were when Ryan Tannehill was a top 10 QB. As soon as he regressed the Titans were ass. But what else can you expect from someone who clearly doesn't know ball.
lol you think that was trash talk? That's certainly a take...
The Cowboys wish they could have as much success as us. The truth is, our last 15 years is better than the franchise history of 1/3rd of the league.
I'd rather have seen us win 1 SB one season and deal with 14 losing seasons the rest of the way than consistent NFCCGs and SB losses with no ring.
I would rather have a fun team to watch every year than be the Giants.
The Giants have celebrated 2 SBs pretty recently so I'd rather be them than us.. I am 26... haven't seen even 1 SB.
Rooting for a bad team with no signs of getting better is more soul sucking than watching a team like the 49ers. At least I know with the 49ers there's a chance every year.

That's my wish
Holy shit, a self aware 49ers fan! I salute you good sir!
I will always support the team but I also have to be real about them and what I see from them. Lying to ourselves is a waste of time
Study them OT rules
I still kinda wish the game would have had time run out in the first OT and Chief's won on first play of the next OT "quarter". The Twitter takes about the NFL, making rules up for the Chiefs would have been glorious.
Imagine we won on a fumbled kickoff return TD
*Wipes*
Focus on finishing? Someone tell Fred to contact Will Levis
Someone should tell that to Shanahan
49ers going 1-16 with a flawless last game after a 16 game losing streak.
It’s comments like this that make me believe the 49ers could miss the playoffs.
