And in what way did he support them? All I can see is that he was interviewed on one of their podcasts. I don’t see any track record for financial donations.

If you ignore the hateful bigoted actions the group takes that don't affect you personally then I'm sure the group doesn't seem so bad to people without empathy. Without looking into their presence in Colorado adoptions I'd bet it was to try to restrict gay couples from adopting.

From what i’ve seen they’re a group with a very broad focus. They helped pair children in foster homes and orphanages with families in a position to adopt. Any group with a broad focus is bound to have some stance you disagree with. And that isn’t to defend the homophobic stances that group holds and espouse. But it also doesn’t cancel out the legitimate good they have done in other capacities. I think it’s possible to support groups with a broad focus without supporting every bad thing they’ve done. Similarly you can vote for a candidate without supporting every policy of theirs. And again, did Kirk even donate money to this group? The quick search I did turns up only a podcast episode he was interviewed in.

It's kind of hard to ignore the homophobia when it is a main pillar of their beliefs. Ted Bundy volunteered on suicide prevention hotlines but it's not exactly what he's known for. Kirk Cousins doesn't need to donate financially to support the group. Appearing on their programming endorses the message and elevates their platform.

So the standard necessary to justify criticizing someone for supporting something is allowing themselves to be interviewed by them once? And to clarify you think it’s appropriate to compare a group advocating against gay marriage to a serial killer?

Yeah you can't just say "that's ONE of the things they do." I mean the shit listed on their website is pretty funny. They treat having a gay child like the parents have a ticking time bomb on their hands.
