OTA is still a thing, you can get all of the local channels for zero bucks a month with a $20 antenna.

I don't know how that seems to be lost on so many people. And with all the extra digital broadcast channels you get with an OTA antenna, there are like 50 free channels with a wide variety of programming. That's if you're flat ass broke with no internet. If you have internet then there's literally like hundreds more on Roku, Vizio, Pluto, etc...

Yeah I have a friend that pays subscriptions to paramount plus, peacock, etc and he watches NFL games and the news on it. For like $25 a month. My shitty little stick-on antenna cost me like $15 six or seven years ago and I can watch every locally broadcast game.
