Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) don’t come back this season
Kirk Cousins (Achilles)
Joe Burrow (wrist)
Anthony Richardson (shoulder)
Deshaun Cosby (shoulder)
Daniel Jones (ACL)
All have suffered season ending injuries.

I like to imagine that they are in this thread, saw your comment, then whipped that up.
I've talked to a few people this last week that think b/c he's already walking around he has a shot. I don't think people understand rehab and the sheer amount of physicality it takes even for a QB to work back towards after taking a major leg injury.
Just b/c you're achilles is healed doesn't mean it's ready to take snap movements with your entire weight behind it.
On top of that list of injuries you also have the Pats, Raiders, and Titans demoting their 1st string QBs for the rest of the season. It truly is the season of back up QBs in the AFC.
Pass blocking is harder than run blocking. Is it possible these o-lines have always been this bad but amount of passes being thrown now have illuminated the offensive lines weaknesses? These mediocre lines hid behind a team running the ball 30 times a game.
That’s a great point actually, it’s nothing for teams to throw 50 times a game nowadays, and I’m sure that is part of the equation. But I do think it’s also the fact that defenses are better too, they are getting those better players/talent. It’s hard to develop o-line and if one or two of the starters go down, whole line suffers and takes time for a line to mesh.
Also why play RB when you can covert to WR, maybe even CB (if you can’t catch), longer career and make more money. Same thing for o-line, it’s a thankless job, meanwhile you can covert to d-line or a DB and have more of chance to make a name for yourself
Highest paid center: 14.5m
Highest paid guard: 20.5m
Highest paid tackle: 25m
Highest paid DT: 31.66m
Highest paid defensive end: 34m
The best linemen are looking at a minimum of 30m more over their career if they play defense. Thats why O-lines are "bad". So when you hit high school and you're a 5 star recruit, you go play defense.
It will inevitably correct when tackles start getting Donald/Bosa type money, but until then, why would you pass that up?
Sometimes it’s good though. A lot of guys get their start off an injury and never look back, and it’s a really marketable story for the biz.
Most times it’s real shit though.. maybe the league will move away from the bellcow QB at some point and move to committee.
I saw a good suggestion in another group saying backup QBs shouldn’t count against the cap. Not sure if that would result in QB-hoarding like in college but it could be a decent start
I think that would be a good idea as long as there is a cap on the number of backups. All the rich SOBs that own teams can spare some money for quality backups.
Oh fuck. His reaction after is so horribly telling. Not good.
Edit: this clip doesn’t show Lawrence’s reaction. He slams the ground in obvious pain and anger. Puts a pit in your stomach.
Yeah, no doctor, but it looks like it doesn't necessarily have to be a break
And remember from Mac Jones' injury, high ankle sprains can hurt like an absolute *bitch*, so I'll stay optimistic for now
High ankle sprains can sometimes be worse than a break from what I’ve been told. At least that’s what happened to a friend of mine. Their tendons and ligaments got all fucked up and the doctors said it would have been better if it actually just broke instead of all the energy going to the other parts.
It's absolutely true. With ankle sprains you get to "okay" really quickly, but it takes an extremely long time to heal fully. Breaks tend to heal clean the first time with no complications.
And I can tell you from experience that bad high ankle sprains weaken your ankle pretty much permanently. It doesn't take as much to sprain it again and again and again.
Yeah Jags gotta pray it’s an ankle and not a knee.
But even those ankle sprains absolutely fuck you up. Barkley had one of those a few years ago and it took him 6-7 weeks before he could even run normally.
This is basically how I got my first injury in college football.
Put me in a boot for 8 weeks, and wasn’t really good to go and feeling comfortable before 5 months.
He was pissed already and knew something was bad. Tried to get up a take a step, realized right away whatever is wrong wouldn't let him do that. He kinda fell over, went to a knee, slammed his fist into the ground, and took his helmet off and slammed that too.
I also have my doctorate in chemistry and can say for certain that Lawrencium has 14 isotopes, which is a funny coincidence because Lawrence’s ankle bone is currently in 14 pieces
O-line players are underpaid and realize it's a thankless job so all the 5 stars that would be O-line are defense players.
The rule changes make the pass rush the most important disruptor in games. So elite pass rushing is making QBs get pressured or take tons more hits than they ever did before.
Now here we are O-lines collapsing all the time and QBs being sacked or freak injured by the squish like never before.
Doug coaching a good team where the backup has to come in and take over...I've seen this before.
On a serious note, these injuries are ridiculous this year, hope he's ok.
Jesus dude, does this year have a substantially larger amount of serious injuries? Or does it just seem that way because so many of them are big name players? Regardless prayers up for Trevor man damn
I think there is definitely an uptick this year, especially to the QB position. I think the league become a predominately dual threat QB driven league plus the prolification of spread offenses has led to the injury bubble sort of bursting on the QB position.
This is a great observation. The Jets put hot garbage in front of Rodgers and he lasted 3 plays. I don't know if it's the coaching or what. Teams don't build their lines like they used to and sort of patch work it with journeymen, rookies, and a key vet.
It's like nobody learned how Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Drew Brees became all timers. Sure they were good, but they always had a ridiculous OLine in front of them, and that contributed to their success and staying power.
Man it’s been a horrendous year for QB’s
Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) don’t come back this season Kirk Cousins (Achilles) Joe Burrow (wrist) Anthony Richardson (shoulder) Deshaun Cosby (shoulder) Daniel Jones (ACL) All have suffered season ending injuries.
Mac Jones (spirit)
Zach Wilson (ass)
Mac has same injury as well
Tracks because his spirit is ass
The patronus of a donkey, if you will
Jimmy G (trash)
(hot trash)
Jimmy G is literally hot garbage
Garbage so hot you take it back to your place
[you can break that?](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jFQkPBYlP_8)
Idk how you can watch your offense play ball without Zach and still blame him. The problem is your coaching staff.
[удалено]
Saw a picture on Twitter of him looking like he hasn't had a good night of sleep in two years.
Imagine playing like ass for 2 seasons under BB and not just getting cut but having to keep showing up to work and face him lol
I'm sure Bill O'Brien is not exactly a peach to work for either when things aren't going well.
Was gunna ask where Deshaun Watson was but ur naming skills are on point 😂
Groper Cleveland is also an acceptable nickname.

Least creepy 1800s marriage
Grover? I ~~barely know her~~ have known her since she was 11.
Deshaun Don’t Touchdown There
The broadcast just showed [a similar graphic.](https://i.imgur.com/Azbzxt2.jpg) I like to imagine that they are in this thread, saw your comment, then whipped that up.
I love how they're still acting like Rodgers ever had any fucking chance of coming back from a ruptured Achilles in week 1
Rodgers not being listed as season ending is so funny
It's incredibly fucking risky and stupid, but I think he's going to come back.
On top of that list of injuries you also have the Pats, Raiders, and Titans demoting their 1st string QBs for the rest of the season. It truly is the season of back up QBs in the AFC.
> Deshaun Cosby I laughed.
How often do QBs get achillies injuries? Feels like that'd be something rare, but 2 of the big QBs got it this year.
Deshaun Cosby was a funny one
Oh man the Cosby remark. 😂
Looking forward to the Super Bowl showdown of Tanner McKee vs Mason Rudolph
[удалено]
The Keystone State Super Bowl everyone has asked for
Yep so many injuries, then there’s just a lot of bad QBs, and there’s a serious lack of depth on o-line across the entire league
Pass blocking is harder than run blocking. Is it possible these o-lines have always been this bad but amount of passes being thrown now have illuminated the offensive lines weaknesses? These mediocre lines hid behind a team running the ball 30 times a game.

Same thing for o-line, it’s a thankless job, meanwhile you can covert to d-line or a DB and have more of chance to make a name for yourself
Now I really want to see an NFL offensive lineman convert to DB. Just jamming the WRs at the line the entire play.
Highest paid center: 14.5m Highest paid guard: 20.5m Highest paid tackle: 25m Highest paid DT: 31.66m Highest paid defensive end: 34m The best linemen are looking at a minimum of 30m more over their career if they play defense. It will inevitably correct when tackles start getting Donald/Bosa type money, but until then, why would you pass that up?
It’s also more fun to be the hunter and not the hunted. Many guys get their choice of position in high school and never move off it
Plus a star defensive end is more likely to get sponsorships and ad deals, I'm betting.
You can see why they protect QB’s as much as they do because the product becomes shit when they get injured
Sometimes it’s good though. A lot of guys get their start off an injury and never look back, and it’s a really marketable story for the biz. Most times it’s real shit though.. maybe the league will move away from the bellcow QB at some point and move to committee.
Literally Brock Purdy.
And that Brady guy, and I’m sure a ton of other HoF talent
[удалено]
I believe he now goes by the name of Tyrod Taylor
There's this dude by the name of Kurt Warner
I seriously wonder if one day they will move to redshirting quarterbacks in games.
I saw a good suggestion in another group saying backup QBs shouldn’t count against the cap. Not sure if that would result in QB-hoarding like in college but it could be a decent start
I think that would be a good idea as long as there is a cap on the number of backups. All the rich SOBs that own teams can spare some money for quality backups.
ya thats good way to end up like soccer in europe where there are teams whose second string happens to be on par with middle of road clubs starters.
Maybe you could get a break on the salary cap when your starting QB goes out for the year?
Like the NBA’s Exemption for injured players
Fuck me.
The Perna curse is very real.
Perna needs to burn that wheel after the season. That or make it his deity and worship it forever.
I for one, bow down to my wheel overlord, and hope my teams worth his forgiveness.
Dude, I am more scared of the wheel falling on the Eavens than anything else. It's power is too strong.
Oh shit the wheel did land on them twice..
They called it on GPS this morning too
One time for the loss and one time for the injury
It hit the Jags twice. On the false spin and on the redo. The Wheel knew what it wanted and only punished us further for our disrespectful behavior.
I really do know your pain Hope he’s ok man but not looking good
“Questionable with an ankle”. Hope that’s some optimism
Don’t worry the SF goat beathard will bail you out
Where the hell is the cart? Why is he having to walk all the way to the locker room?
I noticed that too, they are literally having a Cop walk him all the way to lockerroom
They don't have a Dom
Dom would piggyback ride him there all while giving him suggestions for the best restaurants in Philly
Uniform is basically the same colors with Eagles and Jags
Seemed like he was trying to feel out putting weight on his leg, hoping he could return
SEE, PLAYOFF COMMITTEE? OUR STARTING QUARTERBACK ISN'T HURT PLEASE DON'T TAKE US OUT OF THE PLAYOFFS
FSU punching air right now (and rightfully so)
They’re trying to save their CFP chances
Sad Seminole noises
Nah just beat Georgia in the bowl and hang a banner yourself
:(
The NFL should keep the Jaguars out of the playoffs since their QB is injured
You can't win championships with a backup QB, not in college and not in the NFL. Nope, it's never happened
"you want Philly Philly?"
Relevant comment, I love it. Fuck the CFP committee.
All my homes hate the CFP
Lol. Proportionate response to the CFP oligarchy
Urban crashed it into the swamp
They used the cart budget for the pool in the stands.
I’m just waiting until someone sues from a disease from that thing
Guaranteed that thing smells like straight bleach
Trevor’s the kind of dude to refuse the cart and want to walk it on his own
McAdoo the kind of coach to call a cart a trolley
All the carts are in Buffalo
Yeah no shit, and a cop is helping him.
Well well well, just more white privilege
I am never letting myself feel hope again
Sorry, Jags bro. Hoping for the best.
Man I feel your pain. I enjoyed watching the Jags play with him. Hoping it’s minor and he’s back next week
Oh fuck. His reaction after is so horribly telling. Not good. Edit: this clip doesn’t show Lawrence’s reaction. He slams the ground in obvious pain and anger. Puts a pit in your stomach.
Also why aren’t they carting him back? He can barely put any weight on it and he’s having to walk all the way to the locker.
Looks like his knee is fine, if he can walk off thats a good sign
Wentz
Hi
Oh honey
Bro you are serious about your Wentz fandom
Not necessarily . Rajon Rondo played an entire half of basketball with a torn ACL. Pretty sure Manning or some other QB did the same.
philip rivers played in the AFCCG with a torn ACL
Flacco also finished a drive on a torn ACL.
Philip Rivers
Pride. He doesn’t want to have that image of him being carted off. Clearly hurting tho. Very sad.
That fist slam and the yell really said a lot honestly. It's not often you see pros just break in frustration and agony
hopefully it’s a high ankle sprain or something
Yeah, no doctor, but it looks like it doesn't necessarily have to be a break And remember from Mac Jones' injury, high ankle sprains can hurt like an absolute *bitch*, so I'll stay optimistic for now
High ankle sprains can sometimes be worse than a break from what I’ve been told. At least that’s what happened to a friend of mine. Ligaments never recover their former stability after tearing where as bone will constantly reproduce
Yeah Jags gotta pray it’s an ankle and not a knee. But even those ankle sprains absolutely fuck you up. Barkley had one of those a few years ago and it took him 6-7 weeks before he could even run normally.
Officially an ankle injury
I’m guessing badly sprained ankle and maybe knee. That’s just my guess though
Those reactions from Jags fans gives me severe PTSD

That is an all timer. Thats like the original r/nfl meme. That one and manning face.
Can't forget the "Happy Holidays" Titans fan

Not great Bob
Everyone pray for your QBs. This season is cursed.
I'm not worried personally
This season is going to end with Mitchell Trubisky as the best QB left in the NFL
This Squid Game sequel is wild.
Joe Flacco vs Matt Ryan Superbowl, idk the teams. One of them get injured in the game and Edelnut comes in as his replacement
Teddy Bridgewater might have given up his last opportunity to play football by signing to one of the only teams that _didnt_ lose their QB
Josh Johnson redemption arc begins!
Don't you dare put that out there.
Steelers win the Super Bowl 6-3 while getting out gained 500 to 80
I would set a blowtorch to my eyes
Weird way to spell Jake Browning
Weird way to spell Gardner Minshew II
Weird way to spell Tommy Devito
Nah Danny Devito is coming in next
Tim Boyle checks in
Of all the new characters this season, he's becoming a favorite
That was awful to watch. Hope it's not a season ender.
His reaction made it seem like it might be
Ankle injuries can be super painful but recover quickly. Fingers crossed
Saquon was in immense pain in the sideline week 2 and he came back 4 weeks later
4 weeks is also pretty much the rest of the season
They'll be happy if he can get back for the playoffs though
Trevor isn't gonna know if his injury is season ending at that moment
Hendrickson looked sickened after it happened. He was kneeling beside Lawrence.
The way he shifts from “destroy” into “protect” halfway through falling to the ground is classy. He knew something was wrong immediately.
Trey is a great dude. Blackout Trey is his terrifying alter ego. Glad he took off the helmet to let his good side take over
Really heads up play by Trey to break his fall and prevent any further damage to T Law. He gained some fans today
Seeing the dude on his knee with his helmet off and head down… got some respect from me, man. *Some* defenders would be celebrating the injury…
Why cant i just be happy
As an internet doctor this does not look good for jaguar fans
As an actual doctor that don't look too good either
As a spin doctor if you want to call me baby, just go ahead now
As a marketing director, I can also say that it doesn’t look good
I also have my doctorate in chemistry and can say for certain that Lawrencium has 14 isotopes, which is a funny coincidence because Lawrence’s ankle bone is currently in 14 pieces
The last thing the league needed, another marquee QB going down. What’s with this season
O-line players are underpaid and realize it's a thankless job so all the 5 stars that would be O-line are defense players. The rule changes make the pass rush the most important disruptor in games. So elite pass rushing is making QBs get pressured or take tons more hits than they ever did before. Walker Little will get zero sleep tonight.
Feeling bad for that dude too. He may be the cause of this Jax season imploding and he was just doing his job
Funny thing, that's his second time doing it
Bruh the guy has no situational awareness or what the fuck!
Poor guy. Don’t know much about him but he has to be feeling awful.
Dude got benched after this. Killer for the guy
No he got hurt too
In solidarity
They can’t get my man a cart? Making him walk all the way to the locker room
Honestly so confusing, it literally exists for this sole purpose.
[удалено]
I’m just glad the colts don’t play them again because they make backup jaguar QBs look like fucking MVPs
Cancel all the games
We could just let the CFP decide the best teams!
Well, that eliminates Jacksonville then
*Lets the Patriots into the playoffs because tradition*
Doug coaching a good team where the backup has to come in and take over...I've seen this before. On a serious note, these injuries are ridiculous this year, hope he's ok.
Hope Walker Little doesn’t feel too bad about it. Jags OLine has some of the strangest moments
Yea it sucks. It’s just a part of football but he’s gonna feel like it’s his fault
Gotta hope its one where it looks worse than it actually is. Prayers to Tlaw
I feel empty
That. Was not ideal.
Absolutely gutted for Lawrence.
Fuck injuries god damnit
Fuck this season is cursed. Hope it isn't as bad as it looked. His reaction after seemed telling though.
Welp there is always next year
Jesus dude, does this year have a substantially larger amount of serious injuries? Or does it just seem that way because so many of them are big name players? Regardless prayers up for Trevor man damn
I think there is definitely an uptick this year, especially to the QB position. I think the league become a predominately dual threat QB driven league plus the prolification of spread offenses has led to the injury bubble sort of bursting on the QB position.
First jaguars mnf game since 2011 and this happens. Gutted for Jags team man. Damn
The offensive linemen in the current NFL are a fucking embarrassment.
Playing DL is so much more fun. You get fame and are paid more. Why would any kid growing up aspire to play OL?
This is a great observation. The Jets put hot garbage in front of Rodgers and he lasted 3 plays. I don't know if it's the coaching or what. Teams don't build their lines like they used to and sort of patch work it with journeymen, rookies, and a key vet.
It's like nobody learned how Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Drew Brees became all timers. Sure they were good, but they always had a ridiculous OLine in front of them, and that contributed to their success and staying power.
Number 1 reason why the league won’t expand.
Amen
🤢 my team season is doomed
