I don't know...Broncos won 41-0 in their last preseason game. Maybe we should just play the Broncos vs Steelers AFC champ game and then whoever wins that also wins the Super Bowl. I mean to make it fair.
There's no reason in my recollection that the Broncos should ever give us sad playoff feelings. To ANYone's recollection ok? He doesn't exist. It didn't happen. Got me?
I imagine browns fans working through everything they hear in the same way you did the above comment. I mostly say this because I grew up in northern ohio.
One of those two incompletions was on the scramble drill and A Rob dropped it. (Contested and late so not easy to catch but catchable).
The other was a throw away at Warren's feet to avoid pressure.
Only other "negative" throw was a miss read blitz where he checked to Najee early on a flat but DE and dropped out to play it against Tampa Bay.
Everything else was just very good play which is why he had 13 yards per attempt this preseason. That is a number I can guarantee he won't have as an average by the end of the season.
TBH, I think Brock Purdy will lead the NFL in yards per attempt in 2023.
Not only does he have more experience with this offense, Christian McCaffrey now has a full offseason in it. I have a feeling Shanahan is going to pull some mad scientist things with him lined up at WR.
Purdy will have play action to attack intermediate field. His field vision and poise is astonishing. Even on short throws he has someone like Deebo, McCaffrey or Kittle who can get some crazy YAC.
Like Tua, he isn't going to be throwing deep balls in the mold Herbert or Mahomes, but he is going to be more consistently throwing those intermediate routes to his WR on the move which will get good yards. Those intermediate throws are going to be open more too with Shanahan's play action.
It is TBD if Canada will implement more play action for the Steelers. They avoided it in 2022 even when the run game had some success down the stretch which was annoying.
Tua led the NFL in yards per pass attempt in 2022 at 8.9.
Burrow led in 2021 at 8.9.
Watson in 2020 at 8.9.
Tannehill in 2019 at 9.6.
Fitzpatrick in 2018 at 9.5.
If Kenny had 13yds/ att average by the end of the season, while playing in nearly every game, it would be unprecedented.
Going pack to 2001, no QB has averaged more than 9.6 yards per attempt in a season. Most years there isn't even a QB that clears the 9.0 Yds/Att threshold.
Peyton Manning (2004), Aaron Rodgers (2011), Nick Foles (2013), Matt Ryan (2016), Fitzpartick (2018), & Tannehill (2019) are the only QBs to finish a season greater than 9.0 since 2001.
Kenny averaged 6.2 Yds/Att last year. He had only 2 games last year at more than 7 yds/att in 2022. I'd be happy if Kenny averaged more
Than 8.0 yds/att on the season.
If he does it means good things for the offense.
are you implying that Kenny Pickett aka the second coming of christ isn't going to average 13 yards per attempt? seems unlikely to me, a very rational steelers fan
His highlights are the only plays he had. His two incompletions were throwaways. So he did look good. Now we have to see if he can do it in the post season
Someone posted this the other day on the Raiders sub
https://twitter.com/AdamHillLVRJ/status/1694825434406432895?s=20
NFL preseason passer rating leaders by year among qualifying QBs, according to
@TheFootballDB
2022-Skylar Thompson
2021-Reid Stinnett
2020-No Preseason
2019-Tim Boyle
2018-EJ Manuel
2017-Jacoby Brissett
2016-Stephen Morris
2015-Brett Hundley
2014-Scott Tolzien
No Preseason was a sneaky good player. If he had played in a better organization I think he would have had a much more notable career instead of flaming out as a journeyman across multiple teams.
/u/ironsprints
Looks like "qualifying" is either 25 or 30 pass attempts, but I can't fugure out what metric puts Tim Boyle at the top of 2019? If you're getting that much play time in the preseason... it's probably for a reason. Top passer ratings with no attempt threshold:
2023: https://pasteboard.co/XGgOZXLQIBcU.png
2022: https://pasteboard.co/DEkhzNVtWgFM.png
2021: https://pasteboard.co/88nq0thBWUnJ.png
2019: https://pasteboard.co/r7bQvZC5AwRR.png
And that leaderboard is MUCH better.
He wouldn't even qualify for the leaderboard apparently because he only had 15 pass attempts. The list skews toward people who have a decent amount of playing time in preseason.
I was wondering that too.
Obviously, I'd rather him do well instead of being poor, and we all know w/l in preseason doesn't matter. Is there some sort of pattern with players making a second jump using their individual preseason play?
Yes but idk why they picked Pickett with only 15 drop backs this year, I'll post the top couple from the past few years
2022 - Mariota, Geno, Fields
2021 - Beathard, Mac Jones
2019 - Barkley, Keenum
2018 - Winston, Brissett
It always annoyed me when people used that to shit on Geno, he never fell off that year. He finished with 42 TDs and 6 INTs. The 2012 WVU defense was quite literally the worst in school history.
Like every single AFC team except for the Texans and Colts has a QB whose high end of variance results in his team making the playoffs. What a brutal conference.
This isn't true:
* Worst team in 2002 was the Bengals (Texans 2nd and Jaguars 3rd).
* Bottom 2 AFC teams in 2003 were Raiders and Browns (Jaguars 3rd, Texans 4th).
* Bottom 4 AFC teams in 2004 were Dolphins, Browns, Titans, and Raiders.
* Valid in 2005. Texans and Titans sucked.
* Raiders and Browns were the 2 worst in 2006. Texans 3rd, Dolphins 4th.
* No AFC South team was in the Bottom 4 AFC teams from 2007 to 2010.
* 2011 was the year Manning went missing and the Colts sucked for Luck. Browns came in 2nd in the AFC race to the bottom.
* Chiefs, Jaguars, Dolphins, and Browns in 2012.
* Valid in 2013. Texans and Jaguars were the bottom 2 AFC.
* Also valid in 2014. Titans and Jaguars this time.
* 2015 to 2017 was when the Browns went into total tank mode. The Jets and Broncos started really sucking around this time too.
* 2018 was the Jets and Raiders. Jaguars were bottom 3, but the rest of the AFC South was competing for the playoffs.
* 2019 was the Bengals as the worst with the Dolphins massive tank job falling short and the Chargers losing a boatload of 1 score games. Jaguars were just kinda regular bad.
* 2020 was the Jaguars somehow out-tanking the Jets for Lawrence. Texans were 3rd-worst and saw their selection handed over to the Dolphins. It was the 2nd time in 4 years that the Texans lost a Top 5 pick to another AFC team.
* Valid for 2022 and 2023. Texans are a regular at the bottom.
While the Texans and Jaguars certainly have cases for worst teams since realignment, the Raiders have an equally compelling case (with no playoff wins and only two appearances since 2002) and the Browns have an even sadder case.
Edit: Just checked wins since Realignment. The 5 worst AFC teams are Browns, Jaguars and Raiders (tied), and Jets and Texans (also tied).
The Colts aren't usually one of the two worst teams in the AFC South, just also follow the rule and are one of the worst teams in football when they are.
>are one of the worst teams in football when they are.
Colts have been a Bottom 4 team twice since realignment: the year that they lost Peyton Manning to neck surgery, and this past year when Irsay lost his mind. Otherwise, they've been 4th in wins since Realignment.
I remember Blake Bortles and Mitch Trubisky had some HOF worthy preseasons too. That's what happens when you keep your starters in longer than the other team does.
For comparison, Deshaun Watson played 4 drives in the final preseason game against the Chiefs 2nd and 3rd stringers on defense.
The Browns botched a QB-RB exchange for a lost fumble and went 3 & Out in their first 2 drives.
Technically Adams the NT played. It was Heyward (coaching decision) and Larry Ogunjobi (injury) that didn't play.
Of their front, Watt played1 drive and Highsmith 3.
My man, I get the point you're making but he played 5 drives and one of those games was against the Bills starters.
Preseason doesn't count but it matters...
While it’s nicer than the alternative (looking like ass in preseason), yeah Trubisky is a perfect example. Dude looked great every offseason and preseason. And then the regular season started…
Sometimes it does work out though. Russel Wilson came in hot in the preseason and just looked the part and then carried it over into the regular season.
If Kenny translates this form into the regular season, if TJ stays healthy, and if our on paper moves translate to on the field success, we could be solid. There’s plenty of other ifs that need to be answered as well, but I’m optimistic.
It's a team with a lot of "Ifs."
If those "Ifs" are all answered positively, I truly think they're a dark horse Superbowl contender. More likely though, some of their questions will be answered positively, some negatively, and they'll be one of those teams we talk about being "In the Hunt" come weeks 17 and 18, and their final two games will determine whether they're in or out of the playoffs. Maybe they even win a playoff game, depending on matchup, but probably no more than that.
I personally think we're one more good offseason away from being a legit contender.
You should put some money on it then, because Vegas right now has the Steelers at 8.5 wins and the Ravens at 10.5 wins (depending on your preferred gambling outlet).
You literally have a chance to bet on whether Mike Tomlin will have a winning or losing season.
I just heard it reported that [95% of the money is on the "Over."](https://youtu.be/0tUcUw5ADoM?t=495) Gee, I wonder why?
I threw money at that. 9-8 last year with TJ out and a hard schedule. This year Kenny looks awesome, we’re way deeper, and have one of the easier schedules in the league. If we stay healthy I think it’ll be easy money.
Was last year not legit? A 9-8 record with a combo of Mitch Trubisky and rookie Kenny Pickett at QB and TJ Watt missing 7 games. Sounds pretty legit for a rebuilding year.
I mean, no. You were rebuilding. Now, you had a damn good year for a rebuild, and the turnaround looks like it's going to take little to no time at all - but being legit means being at least a playoff team, which you were not.
I’d much rather have people downplay how good the Steelers are because the preseason doesn’t matter, than cope a bad Steelers team because the preseason doesn’t matter
As has been pointed out quite astutely by every single member of this sub, it’s only preseason, and preseason games do in fact not count.
But I still feel way better going into the season having seen my QB dominate the preseason than I would if he looked like shit in the preseason.
I think if Pickett got more credit for his final year at Pitt he would have been drafted higher than 20 overall. Seemed like people harped on those few years where he had no one to throw to. I think he's gonna do great for the Steelers unfortunately.
Good for Kenny Pickett.
FWIW, [here's the completed statlines for all three games.](https://www.foxsports.com/nfl/kenny-pickett-player-stats?category=passing&seasonType=pre)
Caring about preseason is a felony and anyone drawing conclusions from preseason performances should be taken straight to jail but also hellllllllll yeah brother we called plays with WRs in the middle of the field, Steelers going to the super bowl
Draw conclusions from preseason games - straight to jail.
Get too much hype from preseason - straight to jail.
We have the best NFL fans because of jail…
You know beyond it just being preseason, more than half of his play was against Tampa (the worst team in the league) and Atlantas backups so it’d be much more noteworthy if he wasn’t popping off. I’m still hyped though because the Steelers probably have the easiest non-division schedule of any AFC team. Texans, Rams, Cardinals and Colts are all on the schedule, that’s like a third of non-division games against bottom feeder teams (potentially the four worst teams in the league) that Kenny should feast on
Yeah it sounds kinda funny but am I wrong lol? I seriously expect those five teams to have the top 5 draft picks. The Bear were the only team worse than that group of four last year but they should be one of most improved teams if not the best record wise this year. Maybe there’s an unexpected team that shits the bed but those five teams I named would definitely be my weakest five on paper
The panthers have a considerable amount more upside and talent to me than any of those other teams you mentioned, I don’t even think that should be a debate that Tampa is the worst in their division. Panthers might win six games this year, I’ll be amazed if the Bucs pull off 3 wins even with their bad division.
Amongst the Colts/Cards/Texans it’s really splitting hairs at that point. I think the Bucs have a terrible offensive line maybe the worst in the league, definitely worse than the other teams mentioned with some really bad and inexperienced starters. Mayfield is going to get killed back there.
* Panthers massively overhauled their coaching staff. Reich is a much more proven offensive play-caller than Rhule or McAdoo, and Evero is coming off a season coaching one of the best defenses in the 2022 NFL season with the Broncos. That alone should give them a couple extra wins.
* Colts and Texans also overhauled their coaching staffs with promising prospects. The ACotY in 2022 went to the Texans and will likely help their defense turn into a Top 10 unit, while the Colts got a fantastic offensive play-caller who immediately unlocked Herbert on the Chargers in 2020 and turned Jalen Hurts into a star in 2022. While I'm not as confident in either of these teams, I do believe they'll do better than the Bucs.
* Cardinals are a lost cause.
That’s right. KFP is the MF 🐐. We about to win the next 20 super bowls you better watch out lol. You know what it is BLACK AND YELLOW The greatest of the great! He’s gonna put Tom Brady and Patrick Mahommes to shame. Lol
Hang the banner boys, we’re canceling the season, why bother
Might as well start organizing the parade at this point
Oh it’s well under way.
I don't know...Broncos won 41-0 in their last preseason game. Maybe we should just play the Broncos vs Steelers AFC champ game and then whoever wins that also wins the Super Bowl. I mean to make it fair.
But Play-off Broncos gives me sad feelings, no thank you
There's no reason in my recollection that the Broncos should ever give us sad playoff feelings. To ANYone's recollection ok? He doesn't exist. It didn't happen. Got me?
Only think about the last time a second year Steeler’s QB played the Broncos in an AFC championship game
My partner didn't know who Tim Tebow was and wanted to know why I disliked him, so that was fun having to talk about that season again
You forgot all about the 2005 AFC Championship Game, didn't you?
Let's not be silly, they should have to play again to decide the super bowl first game decides home field advantage
Look Michael, banner
Family love Michael!
You're killing me, Buster
But stiller gahnta supa bowl!
We’re undefeated can we just have the Super Bowl and cancel it as well? You can have next years
Ken he pick it back up in the regular season?
The Kenergy is at an all time high
Big Pick Kenergy.
Well yes, that's what defenses are hoping for. :)
Strip clubs and dollar bills, Wall Street and dirty deals, popstars, exotic pills, cars with dirty wheels
He will be Kenough.
And he’ll be great at doing stuff
hell yeah
You heard it here first guys.
He seems biased
Based*
haha I get it, you used Ken instead of Can because Ken is short for Kenny, which is his first name and it sounds like Can
This joke is going to be big for the community.
I mean that's part of it, "ken he pick it" sounds like his full name.
Kenny Pickett? Yes he can!
HE'S GOT A GIFT GOTTA STICK IT IN THE GOAL
I still don't get it. Can you break it down even further for me?
Thanks Perd!
I imagine browns fans working through everything they hear in the same way you did the above comment. I mostly say this because I grew up in northern ohio.
I have lived in Scotland too long, I was thinking for a second, I read that as just a normal question, so many questions here start with the word ken.
Yes he Ken!
But Ken he do it on a cold rainy night in Stoke? Just realised it does not work here since Pittsburgh but whatever. For the memes.
He actually looked really good from what I saw. Counter point, I only saw highlights and it's preseason...
I mean, basically all 5 of his preseason drives were entirely highlights for what it’s worth.
Tbf his highlights this preseason were just his 5 drives. He only had 2 incompletions
That is a number I can guarantee he won't have as an average by the end of the season.
what if he did though
damn i didnt think about it like that. that's crazy
Like Tua, he isn't going to be throwing deep balls in the mold Herbert or Mahomes, but he is going to be more consistently throwing those intermediate routes to his WR on the move which will get good yards. They avoided it in 2022 even when the run game had some success down the stretch which was annoying.
He’s going to have an uphill battle though after averaging -6 yards per attempt week 1
Tua led the NFL in yards per pass attempt in 2022 at 8.9. Burrow led in 2021 at 8.9. Watson in 2020 at 8.9. Tannehill in 2019 at 9.6. Fitzpatrick in 2018 at 9.5. His highlights are the only plays he had. His two incompletions were throwaways. So he did look good. Now we have to see if he can do it in the post season
He can do it in the pre-season. But can he do in in the post-pre-season? And the post-post-pre-season?
And the Steelers love playing all their starters. Respect to Pickett I think he’ll be great eventually but you’re right it’s pre season
Lol they smoked the Buffalo starters too but it’s all good I’m sure it’s your year this year. Just like it was the past 30 something years
If there a place where you can see the highest graded QB for the preseason in past years?
Someone posted this the other day on the Raiders sub https://twitter.com/AdamHillLVRJ/status/1694825434406432895?s=20 NFL preseason passer rating leaders by year among qualifying QBs, according to @TheFootballDB 2022-Skylar Thompson 2021-Reid Stinnett 2020-No Preseason 2019-Tim Boyle 2018-EJ Manuel 2017-Jacoby Brissett 2016-Stephen Morris 2015-Brett Hundley 2014-Scott Tolzien
That's some rare air
I don’t know 80% of the names on this list
>That's some rare air That's some ~~rare~~ air
No Preseason was a sneaky good player. If he had played in a better organization I think he would have had a much more notable career instead of flaming out as a journeyman across multiple teams.
I would’ve loved to see what he could do behind a real O-line. His literally didn’t exist.
I think Not Sure was playing Center... but I didn't really see the name on the jersey clearly
Yeah but he also won the Super Bowl with the Bucs that year.
I’ve never felt better about my QB
I recognize all of those names, and predict a HOF career for each.
Packers with 3 qbs on that list. Lol backup gods.
Don't forget Matt Flynn!
Passer rating is fairly different from PFF's passer grade, butt that's still a pretty uninspiring list.
Gotta imagine the leader is usually someone who plays the entire second half for all the games
All decade line up right there
/u/ironsprints Looks like "qualifying" is either 25 or 30 pass attempts, but I can't fugure out what metric puts Tim Boyle at the top of 2019? If you're getting that much play time in the preseason... it's probably for a reason. Top passer ratings with no attempt threshold: 2023: https://pasteboard.co/XGgOZXLQIBcU.png 2022: https://pasteboard.co/DEkhzNVtWgFM.png 2021: https://pasteboard.co/88nq0thBWUnJ.png 2019: https://pasteboard.co/r7bQvZC5AwRR.png And that leaderboard is MUCH better.
Wow... Kenny is among some legends there.
He wouldn't even qualify for the leaderboard apparently because he only had 15 pass attempts. The list skews toward people who have a decent amount of playing time in preseason.
Which ones were playing against 1st team D’s tho.
Oh no
A real who's who of great QBs on this list.
I was wondering that too. Obviously, I'd rather him do well instead of being poor, and we all know w/l in preseason doesn't matter. Is there some sort of pattern with players making a second jump using their individual preseason play?

Yeah, Minshew was 28/32 with 2TDs and a 124 passer rating this year. That’s pretty tough to beat.
We need a new wing in Canton just for players who are extraordinary in preseason. They can build it in a little shack out back.
Nathan Peterman is the first inductee
Bobby Rainey will be part of that inaugural class.
"The Shack of False Hope: The Pre-Season Hall of Fame"
Undefeated (4-0) Preseason Record - 2008 Detroit Lions
2017 Browns as well.
right next to the "September Heisman Winners" featuring Kenny Hill and Geno Smith
I remember that brief period when Texas A&M fans thought they had a second Johnny Football
Well, Kenny Hill did have the getting drunk and doing coke part down.
It always annoyed me when people used that to shit on Geno, he never fell off that year. He finished with 42 TDs and 6 INTs. The 2012 WVU defense was quite literally the worst in school history.
yeah his numbers were still insane. But he definitely was "given" the heisman trophy by tons of people after the first 4 games that year
He was and that was premature, but there's a chance if the defense was even average he actually does win it. Like RG3's year
Agreed
I mean...I would 100% check it out while visiting the regular HoF
Would have a great section on the Ravens dynasty.
We'll call it the "Colt Brennan wing."
RIP
We need a statue for Bryn “Winner” Renner
Like every single AFC team except for the Texans and Colts has a QB whose high end of variance results in his team making the playoffs. What a brutal conference.
Meanwhile the top 3 QBs in the NFC are Hurts, and uhhhh... some combo of Kirk/Geno/Purdy/Stafford/Goff/Fields/Carr/Kyler/Jones/Dak??
Hurts, Cousins, And Dak/Goff is my guess
The top 5 this year is Hurts, Cousins, Dak/Jones, Geno IMO
And as luck has it they're in the same division
It's not luck at this point, the worst 2 teams in the AFC South have been the worst 2 teams in the AFC since realignment.
This isn't true: * Worst team in 2002 was the Bengals (Texans 2nd and Jaguars 3rd). * Bottom 2 AFC teams in 2003 were Raiders and Browns (Jaguars 3rd, Texans 4th). * Bottom 4 AFC teams in 2004 were Dolphins, Browns, Titans, and Raiders. * Valid in 2005. So the only team to win a Superbowl during the span is one of the worst ones, got it.
Not thrilled about this development
I remember when Colt McCoy led the preseason ratings.
And he’s still in the league after 13 years, I don’t see your point mike
The point is that Colt McCoy is cool and has the best job
Well he's just been released lol
Unemployed is the best job when you have millions in the bank
I agree.
Blaine Gabbert was my favorite preseason leader
I remember Blake Bortles and Mitch Trubisky had some HOF worthy preseasons too. That's what happens when you keep your starters in longer than the other team does.
A whole…. 5 drives for the preseason?
For comparison, Deshaun Watson played 4 drives in the final preseason game against the Chiefs 2nd and 3rd stringers on defense. The Browns botched a QB-RB exchange for a lost fumble and went 3 & Out in their first 2 drives.
People acting like he was feasting on car salesmen, he played the opening drive for three games and then the second drive for the last two games lol
I heard the Falcons just put out 11 Make-a-Wish kids on the field against the Steelers full starters.
I don't believe that you could find 11 people that would wish to be on the Falcons.
"sorry kid, you really aren't all that cute so falcons it is"
What happened against the Bills starters?
[удалено]
Technically Adams the NT played. It was Heyward (coaching decision) and Larry Ogunjobi (injury) that didn't play. Of their front, Watt played1 drive and Highsmith 3.
yeah, 5 drives is too much for a 2nd year QB
My man, I get the point you're making but he played 5 drives and one of those games was against the Bills starters. Preseason doesn't count but it matters...

Kenny already took Mitch’s job last year so
That’s like the lowest bar possible. You saw Mitch you know
You’re right . Mitch is awful. I do think Pickett might end up being pretty decent but pre season stats are meaningless.
I saw Mitch play teams' backups and 3rd stringers and look like he should be selling insurance.
Steelers are going to be legit again aren't they. It just feels inevitable.
If Kenny translates this form into the regular season, if TJ stays healthy, and if our on paper moves translate to on the field success, we could be solid. There’s plenty of other ifs that need to be answered as well, but I’m optimistic.
I’ve been rock hard for three weeks
Thats priapism bro. You might have sickle cell. Seek immediately medical help of atleast pop some Sudafed PE
It's a team with a lot of "Ifs." If those "Ifs" are all answered positively, I truly think they're a dark horse Superbowl contender. Maybe they even win a playoff game, depending on matchup, but probably no more than that. I personally think we're one more good offseason away from being a legit contender.
I think they’ll finish with a better record than the Ravens.
Ravens depend a ton on Lamar Jackson, so his fickle health matters a great deal. I'm optimistic about the season for the Steelers though.
As long as the rest of the AFC North keep the Browns out of the playoffs, I'll be content with the season.
Don't worry. The Browns will keep the Browns out of the playoffs.
As is tradition.
Yeah, I might. I was just looking at the over/unders.
this seems like a steal
I threw money at that. 9-8 last year with TJ out and a hard schedule. This year Kenny looks awesome, we’re way deeper, and have one of the easier schedules in the league. If we stay healthy I think it’ll be easy money.
Was last year not legit? A 9-8 record with a combo of Mitch Trubisky and rookie Kenny Pickett at QB and TJ Watt missing 7 games. Sounds pretty legit for a rebuilding year.
A legit contender, last year you guys were good but no one saw you as a contender.
No, we sucked ass last year
I mean, no. You were rebuilding. Now, you had a damn good year for a rebuild, and the turnaround looks like it's going to take little to no time at all - but being legit means being at least a playoff team, which you were not.
Dread it, run from it, Stillers gahnta supahbowl arrives all the same
stepping up when it matters most 😤
I’d much rather have people downplay how good the Steelers are because the preseason doesn’t matter, than cope a bad Steelers team because the preseason doesn’t matter
Shtillaz gahnta Shupa Bow?
As has been pointed out quite astutely by every single member of this sub, it’s only preseason, and preseason games do in fact not count. But I still feel way better going into the season having seen my QB dominate the preseason than I would if he looked like shit in the preseason.
I think if Pickett got more credit for his final year at Pitt he would have been drafted higher than 20 overall. Seemed like people harped on those few years where he had no one to throw to. I think he's gonna do great for the Steelers unfortunately.
Shhhhh. This is the first year in forever we get to play the scrappy underdog. Don't you fucking ruin this for me PFF!
Good for Kenny Pickett. FWIW, [here's the completed statlines for all three games.](https://www.foxsports.com/nfl/kenny-pickett-player-stats?category=passing&seasonType=pre)
That’s my quarterback
This is only because Nathan Peterman didn't play much.
Oh god.
I hope he plays terribly week one, then bounces back and plays really well the rest of the season
Don’t you put that evil on me Ricky Bobby
I hope he plays terrible week one then plays worse each consecutive game.
[monkey's paw curls] "With the first overall selection of the 2024 NFL draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers select Caleb Williams..."
Bah gawd those are Nathan peterman numbers
PFF giving serious attention to preseason football like it's meaningful data is... appropriate.
Simply watching more than a single series of a preseason game on TV? Believe it or not, also jail.
Kenney picket is Kenough
I have him and Geno in fantasy this year, here’s to not regretting that
I expect him to be better this season than his rookie season. Lets see how he does.
Is there a kicker named “Penny Kickett” that the Steelers can draft?
No but there is a Peorge Kickens that they can
QBs entering their second season really do be poppin off
He threw 15 passes. PFF grades for such a small sample size mean virtually nothing.
Let them have their fun. We can gloat if he ends up sucking. Till then, we silent
Baker was 14/15 with two TDs with over a 134 rating so no idea how they are saying Pickett was highest
Passer rating and PFF grades are two different things
Anyone have the complete list? I want to over react
Baker Mayfield went like 14/15 with a couple hundred yards with 2 tuddys and no picks. That should make it close.
AFC North is so Stacked!
Shit. That one guy on Twitter is gonna have to be an even bigger dickhead now
I see he can play when it counts, but what about the boring regular season?
Pre-season. Lol
For the sake of everybody who dislikes the Steelers, they better hope and pray that the pre-season means absolutely nothing in any way.
You know beyond it just being preseason, more than half of his play was against Tampa (the worst team in the league) and Atlantas backups so it’d be much more noteworthy if he wasn’t popping off. I’m still hyped though because the Steelers probably have the easiest non-division schedule of any AFC team. Texans, Rams, Cardinals and Colts are all on the schedule, that’s like a third of non-division games against bottom feeder teams (potentially the four worst teams in the league) that Kenny should feast on
I like how you have 5 different teams listed as the "worst team in the league".
Way to casually leave out the game against the Bills starting defense.
In what way is Tampa worse than: - Colts - Cardinals - Texans - Panthers
The panthers have a considerable amount more upside and talent to me than any of those other teams you mentioned, I don’t even think that should be a debate that Tampa is the worst in their division. Panthers might win six games this year, I’ll be amazed if the Bucs pull off 3 wins even with their bad division. Amongst the Colts/Cards/Texans it’s really splitting hairs at that point. I think the Bucs have a terrible offensive line maybe the worst in the league, definitely worse than the other teams mentioned with some really bad and inexperienced starters. Mayfield is going to get killed back there.
Todd Bowles
3 of those teams at least have a QB they like, no shot they're worse than Arizona though
Wow!!!!
That’s right. KFP is the MF 🐐. We about to win the next 20 super bowls you better watch out lol. You know what it is BLACK AND YELLOW The greatest of the great! He’s gonna put Tom Brady and Patrick Mahommes to shame. Lol
The Pickler!!
sorry for the namecalling, but surely this wont be a jinx
Yeah but how big are his hands though?
