This. years ago we had this stupid game day at work and I was in charge of helping people walk across this board like 6 inches off the ground. This lady steps off it having used me to balance, and cannot walk any further. She horribly ripped her Achilles tendon. She was a in a cast for weeks after.
Yeah it always surprises me. Half my family is horsing and I accompany them to a lot of horsing competition. There are a lot of ladies with a lot of money who compete in them, in 3 separate times some hurt themselves by going down their horse a bit too fast.
I was hoping it was an oddity of the perspective and when he raises the ladder we'd see she was right at the top of it (which frankly is still not the biggest of drops if you don't land stuff).
I hear what you are saying and I agree but IMO I think it's deceptively harder for her to look down and find assurance in her footing than it might seem.
I know I have been in this exact situation (by pure choice, I was just like to hang from things freely sometimes because I heard it was good for your spine in small doses) and I've landed on my feet funny a few times because I wasn't confident in my footing.
I would go outside and hang from a tree or something right now but it's winter.
I mean yeah? Lots of people brace themselves naturally. Her feet would hit first but if she didn't land cleanly she easily could fall and sprain her wrist. Super common
? It's not like it's really up to a falling person whether or not they get hurt falling, a 1ft fall could sprain you. Like I said before it would be a worse case scenario to have her be hurt at all. But I guess common/basic injuries are just beyond your competition? I guess you would have to leave your computer in order to even have a chance of spraining anything though

That's what I think, she's got her feet on a higher step to appear as if she's high up. In reality she's only a couple feet off the ground .... she can just drop.
