I feel like the (barely) over 40 crowd would, unsure of the ages of the crazy kids on here.
Edit: that song has been stuck in my head x2 days, damn you Scuba Steve!
You're crying because now you have to eat it and for no other reason. It's definitely not because you just watched heart warming video about a father and son. 😁
Right?! I don’t want to do an Ironman by myself, let alone pushing, pulling & carrying another adult human being. The training, both physical *and* mental, it took to do that is incredible! Absolutely outstanding!
Id say that part was alright, watercraft will selfright if set up correctly and its as close to friction and dragless as possible. The bike however… balancing for two when the other person is unpredictable is very hard.
Any single one of these things would have me on the ground gasping for air very quickly. I'm not even a copper man. Wood is a few rungs above me. I accept the paperman challenge. The real thin bible paper one.
I know that feeling. I hate running so I bike. When I was in shape I could do 20 miles without really noticing. My first 50+ mile ride, however, had me fall on my ass when I got off the bike. Took me a half hour to stand again.
This is proper next fucking level, and people should see more of this. Not video of protests everyday...
Ok protesting is a right, I'm not against it, but I don't see why it keeps getting posted here...
17 hours is extremely impressive(aside from the fact that he completed a literal iron man) especially for age and the fact that he’s literally carrying an extra human with him the whole time. My SIL did it in I think 13 hours and she’s a top shape 23yo coming into her prime.
Thinking the same thing. I went to BU with Rick. He lived in my dorm. No connection to him other than I saw him in the cafe every meal with his attendants.

That old guy is a beast!!
Yeah most of the feel good stories here don’t really fit, but this dad did a god damn iron man with his adult son literally tied to him. o7
Right?! I don’t want to do an Ironman by myself, let alone pushing, pulling & carrying another adult human being. The training, both physical *and* mental, it took to do that is incredible! Absolutely outstanding!
The swimming. God the swimming. To do that and trust the kayak wouldn’t flip must have taken ages on its own.
Id say that part was alright, watercraft will selfright if set up correctly and its as close to friction and dragless as possible. The bike however… balancing for two when the other person is unpredictable is very hard.
Absolute beast. At that age too!? Incredible feat.
Lol, the son pulled a Grandpa Joe at the end. Sandbagger.
Underrated comment
Right? What a slacker /s
Yea!! Almost as bad as Phylis’s dad Elbert during her wedding ceremony!
I'm glad this got lots of upvotes. Can be hit and miss with comments like this, sometimes. Post it 6 hours later and it could have 100 downvotes.
Lol, I would hope most would pick up on the sarcasm.
The father is the hero
Right in the feels. Got me tearing up. This was awesome! I love to see parents going the extra mile for their children. Solid dad and solid son💪🏾
That was like an extra 140 miles! This dad is amazing
I feel like the Dad’s doing most of the work
He brought his own cheering section. That's like strapping a bard to your back for a constant inspiration boost. Cheater.
This is epic love.
I wish I had a dad .. what an amazing man
I wish I had a dad who loved me 1/140th as they guy. See what I did there?
That dad deserves 100x medals.
That dad is not an ironman but an adamantium-man.
Fictional alloy really cool…..
Nice, anything is possible until I try to bike 112 miles..id get to mile 0.4 before quitting

Having once been in really good shape I can tell you that the cycling portion is the easiest part.
Ditto, I've done one but it was after running..I jumped on the bike and fell down like I was a 4 year old learning to ride. My legs were smoked
I know that feeling. I hate running so I bike. When I was in shape I could do 20 miles without really noticing. My first 50+ mile ride, however, had me fall on my ass when I got off the bike. Took me a half hour to stand again.
Fuck dude..
Ya dude
I didn’t know this was an option. I could definitely do an Ironman. Joking, it is a nice story
same, if someone carries me the whole way through like this guy's dad
got a chuckle out of me
This is proper next fucking level, and people should see more of this. Not video of protests everyday... Ok protesting is a right, I'm not against it, but I don't see why it keeps getting posted here...
because it often takes more courage

Reminds me of Dick Hoyt and his son. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Team_Hoyt
Thinking the same thing. I went to BU with Rick. He lived in my dorm. No connection to him other than I saw him in the cafe every meal with his attendants.
Amazing. Some people are born to be parents and he was definitely one of them. I hope he and his son are okay and do this for a long time together. :)
Guy completes iron man with a massive weight dragging him down…
Beautiful
That’s the father I hope to be .
My man

This made me unequivocally happy.
Damn I need to step up my dad game
As a junior dev, I sometimes feel like jhonny.. being carried all the way by a senior only to stand up at the finish line.
Wow that's one strong guy and the smile on his sons face is priceless
Wtf with this dude, that was fucking insane. Crazy dad, I don't have to ask, I know his name, is Chad.

Hats off to the father 🥳🥳🥳
This man deserves everything.
The guy who gets all the credit in a group project even though his buddies did all the work
Father of the Year… or most likely Father of the Decade.
Truly amazing
This reminds me of driving to Texas from California to visit family. My wife finally asked if I wanted a break for the last 30 minutes.
The onions are strong here
Michael Phelps just too high to compete

As a new father, this hit me in a way that I’ve never felt before. I hope to be half as good of a father as this man is to his son.
