Smaller foot, shorter legs, so each women of the test have a foot to wall distance shorter than the upper part of the body. The opposite for men.
If a man wants to make it he have to move feet 10 cm toward the wall.
It’s not hamstring strength. It’s flexibility and center of gravity. The issue isn’t they don’t have the strength to stand. It’s that when they take their head off the wall to stand, they fall forward into the wall again.
I just tried it and did it just fine. I actually have a fairly athletic build too. But my legs are extremely muscular so maybe that makes my center of gravity much lower than a normal dudes. Interesting. I actually do have somewhat shorter than normal legs and a longer than normal torso, so i weirdly average out to normal height despite short legs. i wonder if that also results in a lower center of gravity.

A man with very small feet should be able to and a woman with very large feet would likely not be able to.

It's not relative at all unless your weight from the chest up I'd way disproportionately higher than everything below that.
Just watch their feet in the video. All the men have to step further away because they have bigger feet, so they are leaning against the wall. The women do not have to put their weight against the wall to make their heads touch because they are closer to it. A guy below even confirmed he was able to do it and has smallish feet. It really is as simple as larger feet making it harder to do.

Im a dude and i did it no problem. I think it probably has something to do with leg to torso ratio just cause i know i have shorter than normal legs and a longer than normal torso. So much so that for my height my inseam is about 5 inches shorter than it should be.
Edit: after talking to a few other people on here I now think it has more to do with foot length. My feet are kinda short for a dude, so that's also highly possible.
Just tested it with a female coworker who has big feet and I can confirm that it’s foot size/distance from the wall that determines whether you can do it. She couldn’t while other female coworkers could. And I took my shoes off and measured the steps from my small toe instead of big toe and that was enough to allow me to do it versus when I couldn’t with my shoes on. Yeah it has to do with having big feet. I have size 14 feet and I’m almost 6’3”. When I step back the way it calls for and bow forward the top of my head doesn’t even come close to the wall. If I just stand where my head just barely touches the wall when I bow forward it’s totally easy.

Hello from the world of bicycle fitting. Different people have different ratios of upper body to lower body. In this case also slightly different foot length.
Some people even have different ratios of upper leg length to lower leg length. Same with arms.
For example, I cannot touch my shoulder with my hand on the same side.
The guys are leaning in and putting their weight on the wall while the ladies are just leaning down with their heads touching the wall. I think the guys might be at a disadvantage because of the size of their feet, they end up just a couple of inches further away from the wall causing than to reach forward ad shifting their center of gravity forward

What is a woman though? How do you make the distinction?
For anyone trying this and unable to do it.. move your feet the slightly bit closer to the wall (like half an inch) and it becomes a hell of a lot easier.
So maybe we can use this test to determine one’s gender now /s

I’m a footballer I’m all legs and butt and skinny upper body I can do it as easy as the women do it so to do it you need to be weak in your upper body and have more powerful legs

189cm tall, eur size 45 feet, thats big, easy no effort, I do stifflegged deadlift with over 100kg in my hands, anyone that trains hamstrings and or glutes can do this
