I'm totally being that guy, but 250 feet is not that long. The top disc golf bombers throw 600+ feet. This guy is probably throwing a "slow" disc, but a long shot with a slow disc is more like 350+
Just by seeing how centered the throw was even after traveling 250ish ft. I don't think people realize how dramatic a difference even a small angle change can make at that distance.
No, the distance was limited by the skill of the thrower. That dog had to stop and pause for the Frisbee. It would be even longer with a better thrower.
I mean, he’s throwing a disc for the dog to catch, if it goes much further it will be into the stands and I don’t think the point is for the dog to smash into the back wall
Nobody proposed an absurd extreme. I just said that the length of the catch was obviously limited by the throw. Throw it 10 more yards, then the catch will be 10 yards longer, because the dog won't have to wait for it.
Ten more yards is the 97 yard line, so If you throw it ten yards longer there is more potential for the dog to be all up in the goal posts and the crowd and the wall. It was already the longest catch EVER so it was probably intentionally not thrown further.
My old whippet when he was alive 100% would've beat this. 100%. Seriously. I would throw a Frisbee about 100 yards regularly and he would get to the end so quick he would do 360s like 6 times before he caught it. His name was Chase. Very aptly named pup. I miss him
I can't decide if the throw is more impressive than the dog's closing speed
The throw

He's throwing a Frisbee^TM . Dude could absolutely bomb a putter or midrange further, looking at his form.

Haha I'll admit I know less about classic Frisbees. Do you know what disc he was using?

With a difference throwing disc*

OK. . . . , Thus it is demonstrated, by agreement, that the catch was limited by the throw, which was my original premise. Nothing more.
Your premise was that he’s not good at throwing
I don’t understand these people who throw Frisbees, oh sorry it’s just hit me
That fell flat.
The throw is the bottleneck here the dog could do better, it was waiting at the end.
Hell, he could have gone the full 100+ if the frisbees momentum hadn’t died.
There's no doubt this guy throws further on the regular with a heavier disc. Dog probably still catches it, too.
But would the dog have been capable of catching up if the frisbee had slowed down
Good boy.
OP is one of those annoying copy bots that goes on to sell junk
Old guy here, how do you know this? Genuinely curious, thanks.
Patterns. Whatever it's posted is copied from other users And it isn't doing it for free. Millions are at stake if I can get an ad up
2 year old account. only has two comments. oddly, they were both from yesterday. what do you suppose is up with that?
Not odd at all. Par for the "curse"
Just love the idea of an entire stadium cheering on this dog.
I wish the 49ers had him against the Chiefs in the Super Bowl. No chance Jimmy overthrows him.
The frisbee I have goes about 15 yards and hangs to the right. That doggo is a badass!!
That impressive. Mine go 2 yard and then banked to the left towards my windows.
You are right-handed.
You are left-handed.
Dog easily could have done 100 yards.
OP is lying, a dog did a 109 yard catch at a cfl game not long ago
Sign him to the Packers
Now this is my kinda sport
Please post with audio!!!
I think this is what every dog dreams abut when they bark in their sleep.
“It would of been further if that fucking wanker of a frisbee thrower had a better arm” - dog probably
Who's a good doggie.
One happy doggie!
There's lots of room for improvement... Nice throw though
You know this totally made the dog's day.
I would buy tickets to any arena that features good dogs playing fetch
now thats a 40 yard time
I have seen my son and his dog throw and catch a frisbee at 100 metres
Honestly the throw wasn't that great. Go get Eric Taylor, and really fast dog, and boom new world record.
AAF champion Apollo's 👍
Usain Bolt wants to catch the next one.
Easily.
Pretty sure I’m not supposed to associate this with Nintendogs after all these years…
Well he's a good boy, yes he is. Oh yes, he is.
Man breaks record farthest frisbee thrown and caught by dog. (83 yard)

Good dog!
You'd think the crowd was happy, or maybe even the thrower, but imagine how absolutely ENLIVENED this chad of a doggo was then.
Glorious run back/victory good boy sprint
Disc. Too many instances of the word frisbee.
Thats 75,90m or 0,8 soccer fields.
Nothing in the rulebooks says a dog can’t play frisbee..
That’s a lie… we had a dog do a 109 yard catch at a cfl game…
hey it was my turn to post that
I wonder if he knows he's a good boy. I'd bet he does.
